Chapter 18

After Grandma left the room, Nara remembered the package of clothes she had brought earlier. Nara took apart one by one her old clothes. When coolly unpacking something falls from behind the folds of clothes. After Nara took it and saw that it was a photo of Nara and Yudha when they were together first.

Nara kissed the photo, pervading, hoping the person she kissed in the photo could feel it.

"Wherever you are, may you always be in the protection of God," she Nara after kissing the photo.

Nara quickly got up and stuffed the photo into the bag she always wore

The red light was over, their car was running. From behind the window, Nara watched Yudha.

Nara has been betrothed by her family to a man named Tio who is quite established and successful with his business. In three months they will be married. 

Nara did not expect to meet Yudha under such circumstances and in this city. He moved from his old town to try to forget the past. He saw Yudha by accident. The man who was always missed in his silence.

Nara closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Between happy and sad, he doesn't know. He was happy to see Yudha again but, he was sad to see Yudha having to busk under the scorching sun like this.

"Why you, baby?" tio asked back when he saw Nara shed tears.

"I have a stomachache. Let's go home!" lie Nara.

Tio looks panicked and offers to go for treatment but, Nara refuses. He just wants to go home. It's not really his stomach that hurts. But his chest was tight to see the scene earlier. The one he missed all along.

Once at home, Nara ran straight into the room. She was crying so much. Saw that. Ayu, catchup. It turns out that Ayu is still loyal to be Nara's assistant.

"Why, Non?" ask Ayu. She caressed Nara's head which she buried inside the pillow so that her cries could not be heard coming out.

Nara got up, sat down next to Ayu.

"I saw Mas Yudha, Yu," Nara said and immediately hugged Ayu.

"Where, Non?" Ayu instantly shut her mouth with both hands as she realized her voice was so big.

"At the crossroads red light was busking with his friends."

"Non Nara missed?" ask Ayu back.

Nara let go of her embrace. He nodded answering Ayu's question.

"What about Mr Tio?" back Ayu asked.

"It's been months, I tried to love her but, can't," complained Nara looking desperate.

Nara was silent, her gaze pusher straight through the window. He still remembered the memories from the beginning of his meeting with Yudha. He recalled the time when Yudha cursed herself after she chose to save Nara.

Nara pulls her drawer. Nara remembered the watch that Yudha had used by accident that she had seen earlier. Still an old watch. Nara's watch they exchanged after Ijab Qabul first.

"Mas Yudha is still wearing my hand-held watch, Yu," said Nara. "While I never wear this again." Nara showed me the watch she kept in the dresser drawer.

"What's the story of the watch?" Ayu looks curious.

Nara tells that he had the idea to exchange personal items, because at that time Nara only had a watch although cheap, Yudha wanted to exchange with an expensive watch.

"Tomorrow we meet Mas Yudha, yuk, Yu!" take Nara so excited.

Ayu who does not want the events of a few months ago to happen again. Wherever Nara went, the people in this house would know.

"Don't, Non!" ban Ayu.

"Why?" asked Nara wonder why now ayu does not want to follow her wishes.

Ayu gave the reason that it could endanger Nara if Nara desperately met Yudha. Kenny must not hesitate to hurt Yudha again. His hatred for Judah is not over either.
