In the Silence of Nara
Chapter 17
How shocked the contract owner was to see Nara who could already speak. Nara had not asked where Yudha was. The rented mother immediately said what because she drove Nara out of the country so Yudha just disappeared.
No one knew that Yudha and Nara were divorced.
"Yudha how are you? How come you're not here with Yudha?" ask the owner of the contract.
Nara is forced to make a show, saying Yudha works.
Nara and Ayu looked at each other. After learning that Yudha had just left. Where will they find Yudha again?
The rented mother gave a bag of clothes that Yudha left behind.
"Home lived in just like that without any notice, making us confused. It's your husband," grumbled the contract owner.
They finally say goodbye, on the way they think they want to find Yudha where else. Nara did not know anything about Yudha's friends. They finally came home disappointed.
While in the luxurious residence of Nara's grandparents. Kenny shows Grandpa where Nara's cell phone signal point is.
"It's Nara's rented address and that bastard's, '" Kenny grumbled.
Nara's phone was tracked down by Kenny. So that he can monitor where the embers are going. Certainly without the knowledge of Nara who is stuttering technology.
"That's it, let it go. However, the man has contributed to Nara," said the grandfather who had a more open mind.
"Can't!" cut grandma. "He's not just a bastard. He's also an adulterer. She does not deserve Nara" continued the grandmother who never liked Yudha after knowing Yudha was Olivia's affair.
As a result of their agreement, Nara must be taken to another city so as not to meet Yudha. If they're still in this town someday they'll meet again.
"It's not entirely the boy's fault. If Olivia is not a gatel, yes of course the affair does not happen," said grandfather indifferently while playing his cellphone.
Nara decided to return home. He has no purpose anymore. However, while at an SPBU Nara met Sonya who was filling BBM as well.
"Nara?" hello Sonya.
"I .. yes," answered Nara a little confused.
Nara had forgotten about Sonya because she was indeed a moment that night.
"You forgot about me?" Sonya pulled her bike over near Nara standing waiting for Ayu to line up to fill BBM.
Nara nodded while smiling awkwardly.
"I'm Sonya, my mommy," whispered Sonya, afraid that someone would hear.
"Oh, yes I remember."
"You've spoken now, yes. Thanks, deh. Yudha's sacrifice will not be in vain" Sonya said.
"Sister, wait! Let's talk a little bit there, yuk!" Nara stops Sonya from leaving.
Nara pointed to a cafe located in the rest area in this SPBU.
After a little thought, Sonya finally welcomed Nara's invitation. Nara looked at Ayu and gestured to her, that she and Sonya were going to the cafe.
After ordering food and drinks, he finally ventured to ask where Yudha was.
"Not much I know. That night, he went to the club' drinking as usual like he was a lot of burden. I asked him how you were doing, and he said he had divorced you. But, I felt something, his voice was so heavy as to say that."
Sonya also shared, that she knew you were going to have vocal cord surgery from Aunt Olivia which surprised Sonya the most, that Aunt Olivia's husband was Nara's Om.
Ayu who was sitting next to Nara, immediately embraced Nara. Tears of Nara began to flow.
"Where is Mas Yudha now?" nara asked in her tears.
Sonya shrugged her shoulders. No one knows where Yudha is.
"Last we heard that Yudha's mother died, Yudha returned to the village. After that we no longer know about Yudha." Sonya told me what she knew.
"Mobile number?" ask Nara curiously.
"It's not active anymore."
Nara slapped her face on the table. She cried. Hoping to do that, the sound of crying was not heard by other cafe visitors.
"He misses Mr. Yudha very much" Ayu told Sonya.
"We have lost contact with Yudha" Sonya said.
Once at home, there was already Om Kenny chatting with grandfather. After she divorced Aunt Olivia. Kenny lives in grandparents' houses.
"Where are you from, Nara?" ask grandpa.
"Streetings, Cake."
Nara greets Grandpa and Om Kenny and bids her in the room.
"Have you eaten?" ask grandma when she's hanging out with Nara on the stairs.
"Already, Grandma. Nara tired. Take a shower and go to bed." Nara continued to climb the stairs to her room.
After Nara actually entered the room. Ayu was called by grandma. Grandma asked Ayu wherever she went. Ayu wanted to lie but, before she let out a sound. Om Kenny has said that Ayu do not try to lie to them because they will not hesitate to return me to the village.
Finally, Ayu was honest. He said wherever they went and met anyone.
After hearing the story from Ayu. Grandma told Ayu to rest.
"What Kenny said, right, Pa?" Om Kenny tries to be the stove in Nara's life.
He has not been able to forget the betrayal of his ex-wife and Yudha. She always imagined when Yudha fucked Olivia and would fuck Nara again if they were together. So disgusting. That's one of the reasons Kenny didn't want Nara and Yudha together.
A city they have prepared, a city where there is a business Grandpa and Om Kenny who is being pioneered in the city.
Grandma followed Nara in her room. He was about to tell Nara to rearrange her clothes. Because tomorrow will be out of town on the grounds of going to check on grandfather's business in the city.
Nara who does not know their minds. Just follow the invitation of grandma.
"Miss, can Nara go home? Nara's going to mom's grave, "take Nara to grandma.
"Of course we can, tomorrow we go there" said the grandmother while holding the back of Nara's hand.
Nara smiles again at the promise of her grandmother who will take her to her hometown, where she was born and raised by her mother.
After Grandma left the room, Nara remembered the package of clothes she had brought earlier. Nara took apart one by one her old clothes. When coolly unpacking something falls from behind the folds of clothes. After Nara took it and saw that it was a photo of Nara and Yudha when they were together first.
Nara kissed the photo, pervading, hoping the person she kissed in the photo could feel it.
"Wherever you are, may you always be in the protection of God," she Nara after kissing the photo.
Nara quickly got up and stuffed the photo into the bag she always wore.
