In the Silence of Nara
Chapter 12
"Nay, I bought HP, huh? There is no HP. Do you know you can not contact me," said Yudha.
Nara gave her thumbs up, sign agreed.
Yudha still has about ten million in savings without Aunt Olivia's knowledge. The money could still be used for their living expenses during Yudha's illness.
This afternoon they are out buying cell phones and how much the house needs. Yudha's feelings were not good. He always thought of his parents. Afraid of mom calling but, her number is off.
Luckily, Yudha still remembered to remove the SIM card when her phone was asked back by Aunt Olivia.
That is exactly what Yudha is saying. Just now that Yudha had inserted the SIM card into the phone she had just bought, there was an incoming call from mother.
"Yudha where are you? Mother called from the morning Ndak could-can," mother lamented as Yudha answered the call.
"Yudha's cell is broken, ma'am." Yudha had to lie. "What's up, Mom?" yudha is back.
"Mr …."
"Mr why, Mum?" cut Yudha.
"She slipped in the bathroom." Now the speech has collided with Isak crying Mother. "Now you're still in the ICU." Mother's cries sounded broken again.
Hearing the bad news, Yudha decided to go home.
"Mas must see father" said Yudha.
Nara immediately wrote on her memo that she wanted to come along.
"Yes, come!" answer Yudha.
This time Yudha searched for Aron's number. He tried to contact Aron to ask for help to deliver to the village with the car he had.
"Sorry, Bro. I can't if that damn carrier chick comes along." Aron answered from the end of the call.
"Why do you hate him so much?"
"Look at your life now! It's all because of him, right?" Aron again asked in a higher tone.
Yudha looked towards Nara who was bowed in lethargy. He heard Aron on the phone.
"Yes, already. I went on a trip" Yudha replied, ending the phone call.
"Yet we go home! Make sure you have what clothes to bring!" take Yudha to Nara.
Yudha searched on social media for a car number to travel to her village. He's got a car leaving at seven tonight. There is still two hours left to clean the clothes that are not much.
"Later if his mother why ride travel, say our car entered the workshop, yes!" Yudha taught Nara to lie to mother.
"Mom don't need to know what's going on with us!" yudha continued when they were still in an online taxi.
Nara nodded in understanding. Yudha glanced at Nara with a smile. Now their hands are holding each other.
Halfway through, Yudha suddenly felt a strange feeling. His heart was beating faster, there was a sense of anxiety radiating to his heart.
Yudha looked at Nara, but Nara had fallen asleep in a straight sitting position. Then Yudha took Nara's head and leaned on her shoulder.
"Assalamualaikum ...," Yudha replied after pulling the green button.
"Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi rojiun" Yudha said in a slightly trembling voice.
Hearing the condolences made Nara straighten her back that was leaning on the back of the car seat.
Nara shakes Yudha's shoulders slowly. He wants to know what happened.
"Mr, Nay …." It seemed that Yudha's neck was suffocated so that she could no longer continue her words.
After Yudha was able to control herself, she said that you have closed the age tonight. Nara cried in the car to hear what Yudha said.
Nara leaned her body against the seat back. His mind wandered far, until he thought of the phrase that Aron always said that he was the unlucky bearer of Yudha.
Finally they arrived at dawn in the funeral home. It was crowded in the house by neighbors. Yudha ran into the house. I was stiff in the middle of the house. Yudha really felt lost when she could not make you happy.
A week has passed. Last night was a seven-day event the death of my father. Yudha still seems lost. Not to mention the words of Aron who always said that Nara was the unlucky bearer in Yudha's life.
"Nay," call Yudha.
Nara who was folding clothes, heard and slightly pulled the end of Yudha's sleeve. Yudha turned to look towards Nara. Yudha said that tomorrow they would return to the city.
What about mom?
Nara wrote in the memo that belongs to ya.
Yudha said that she had been chatting with mother, mother decided to stay in the village so that she was closer to the father's grave.
While in Yudha village also traditional medicine with someone who is famous for healing bone problems and grateful now he can release his staff even though the path is still the neck.
Yudha could not linger in the village, it would make the mother suspicious. Why did Yudha not return to work.
"Nay," call Yudha back. "Are you ashamed to not have a husband like me?" yudha suddenly asked.
To Nara, Mas Yudha was the angel of help. Nara was never ashamed.
Sorry, Mas. Because Nara's life is ruined. Bang Aron said, Nara is the unlucky bearer for Mas Yudha.
Yudha ventured into Nara's arms after she read the memo Nara wrote.
"This is God's destiny. Maybe it was God's rebuke for me to repent. You can't talk like that anymore, yeah!" whiskey Yudha.
With a heavy heart they finally returned to the city and started a new life. Living with limitations.
It turns out that Yudha's troubles haven't run out here. Aunt Olivia's husband came back from sailing for a personal fee because he got news from his brother about Aunt Olivia's behavior who had a gigolo.
A clever Aunt Olivia, good at turning the story upside down when she concocts the story that she was forced by Yudha to send the amount of money she needed, otherwise Yudha would spread the evidence of their affair.
For one side and because it was found to have a gigolo, Aunt Olivia could not be kinked. However, for the money that runs out in Aunt Olivia's savings, she can make up a story.
That morning, while Yudha was cleaning the yard of the house that had been left one Sunday by the owner, a red car stopped, the car that used to be used Aunt Olivia. The only one who got out of the car was her husband.
Kenny walked towards Yudha standing up. Without further ado, he directly hit Yudha's stomach with a few punches.
From inside the house, Nara heard a noise outside. Curiosity prompted him to peek out of the room window. How shocked she was to see her husband being beaten by a man. Yudha who had just been able to walk without a cane of course immediately fell on the ground.
Seeing the heartbreaking scenery, Nara immediately ran out and did not forget to pull the instant hijab hanging behind the door of the room.
