Chapter 9: Kenzo and Qais

Night comes when the moon has replaced the task of the sun in the sky, millions of stars and planets into a friend that flashes beautifully

"Who the hell came until I had to defend myself from the hospital?"

"Dad is no papa, this guest is more important according to father"

"Assalamu'alaikum" the sound of the car stopped in front of the house accompanied by greetings. His voice sounded male

"Wa'alaikumussalam" Naufal stood up from his seat ready to welcome guests followed by Layla and Bilal, Joseph and Zara were also still there, they were also curious about the man

"Kenzo" Naufal hugs a man they estimate is a dozen years younger than their father

"You alone?"

"I took my sister" a man dressed in black entered without greeting making Layla, Joseph and Zara stand up from their seats

"Qais?" zara and Yusuf said simultaneously, while Laila was silent even though she had mentioned the name of the man in her heart

"Ila, you know?" Bilal glanced at his sister who had come to his feet, Layla who regained her senses immediately sat back down and shook her head

"No, just surprised to see the guests are not polite saying hello" he replied, seeing Qais who greeted Naufal's hand and said greetings as if insinuated

"Ilal, Ila knows this is Kenzo's sister"

"It's very similar to Sister Naufal and Brother Aqila" said Kenzo, his voice changed softly when he remembered the woman he called his name had gone

"Sorry, there is a big problem in the company that makes us forced to move cities, I always forget to ask for your number when I meet, until Aqila Brother leaves I don't know" Kenzo sighed, he didn't expect this at all

"It is God's destiny" answered Naufal, patting Kenzo's back which now equaled his height

"My wife is at home because our son is fussy, his teeth are growing" Naufal nodded in understanding, it also happened to Bilal and Layla

They were sitting in the living room, Naufal was sitting on a single sofa, Bilal, Layla, Yusuf and Zara were sitting in a huddle facing directly to Qais and Kenzo who were staring at them

"Do you know Qais?" Naufal asked, Joseph and Zara nodded while Layla and Bilal shook their heads. Layla certainly did not want to admit the crazy action of the man

"When you've known each other since childhood, don't you remember anything?" A double look at each other then shook his head again, the shadow of a man named Qais was not recorded in their childhood memory history

"Hahaha, you guys were very small and just entered Kindergarten, Qais is already in elementary school, we met in front of your school at the time of the bun..."

"When you're home from school" Kenzo hurriedly corrected his sentence, fearing to say the word 'mother' and offending the twins

"We don't remember anything" Bilal replied as Layla fell silent, her thoughts on the boy proposing to her with candy, shaking his head, was that really Qais?

"really? He gave Ila a candy back then but it was not accepted" Kenzo replied with a slight nagging pang, Layla fell silent not expecting the man to be Qais. Luckily Kenzo did not say that Qais asked her to date

"I don't want to, you want to?" Bilal asked, maybe because he thought it was a moment that was not too memorable to not be stored properly in the memory of his brain

"What?" Bilal asked again, puzzled by the answer given by his sister

"Maybe a little remembered" Layla replied as she was

Qais was silent looking at the face of the woman in front of him who he knew was lying, Layla must have clearly remembered the incident. Qais did not even understand with his heart that was like tied to the girl named Asma Layla Husna, but he did not lie that the vibration of the taste was there every time he was near Layla

When they hit each other in a narrow alley, the first thing he saw was a pin-shaped name tag stuck in the girl's hijab, he certainly still remembered the face of the girl even a few years later. The most notable is a small, mule-shaped birthmark that grows near the girl's thumb

"You have a chat first, enjoy the food, you need to chat for a while with Kenzo's sister" Naufal and Kenzo stand in the backyard, leaving five children to grow up

"Sir Zara" Layla called out to him quietly, Zara turned her head in slight surprise

"Well I'm here, yes, there's something I want to tell you, it's important" he replied with a laugh

Layla nodded, thinking that maybe her cousin was too stressed to go to medical school following her parents until it became like this. Although Darren and Diana free him to choose, Zara still chooses to become a doctor. Seeing his parents wear white suits and helping people almost every day made him have the same ideals of a doctor

As the night wore on, the short needle on the wall touched the number ten with the long needle at the number twelve. That's when Kenzo and Qais say goodbye, I don't know what Naufal and Kenzo talked about until so long in the back garden. Zara and Layla spoke little of the amount of talk that the three men in front of them discussed, from football to the direction of the motorcycle engine.

"Be careful on the road" they set the brother's departure to the front door

"Can we come back here again?" Layla gave a sigh at the question coming out of Qais' mouth

"Of course, come whenever the door of this house will always be open for you"

"If another door is possible?"

"Huh?" Naufal did not understand the meaning of Qais' words

"Yusuf, Zara, you stay overnight yes, it's too late to go home, uncle is afraid of you for anything" said Naufal, he looked at the sky which seemed to be also starting to spill rainwater

"We really intend to stay here uncle, we've told people home" Zara replied, he was impatient to tell Layla something

"Thank God then, it looks like it's going to rain too. As soon as it was ten o'clock" the four of them nodded, Zara would sleep in Layla and Joseph's room in Bilal's room. Actually he did not intend to stay, but because seeing the sky wrapped in cloudy also requests from Zara powerless to make him refuse
