HMV - Chapter 40

While Ortega, Volkov, and Artemis were filling in a dizzying array of documents, Kamila Sayeed began researching Zac.

"Adrian, if this man I'm making a vampire, you're not jealous, are you?" ask Kamila. He had already prepared his sharp fangs and was preparing to bite the Zac who had started not breathing.

Adrian's face looks upset. "You think for yourself! I've served you for so many years that I've given up my whole life for you, and you've chosen that man to be with you!"

"You'll still be my sidekick, Adrian. Why do you doubt that? It's for the sake of humanity. I never understood humans, why should I save this man? Hmh! If only, the human girl was nothing special, I would have made them both have my dinner" Kamila said.

"You must learn from us, Kamila. How can you fall in love if you don't want to have a bond and don't open your heart?" adrian asked while cleaning up the blood in the recesses of Zac's neck. "It's over, you can start. I'll wait for you outside,"

Adrian rushes to get out the basement of Kamila's house. However, Kamila intercepted him. "Is there any chance that you'll fall in love with that human girl?"

"Hmmm, it could have been if you hadn't opened your heart to me" Adrian replied casually as he walked away.

Kamila. However, he could not linger because there was a human who hung his life on him. He watched the pale and unconscious man. Before long, Kamila had already slammed her fangs into the recesses of Zac's neck.

"Wake Up, Undying Creature. You're being waited on by someone special" whispered Kamila as she closed the coffin in which Zac was laid.

At the residence of Baron and Amstel, Ortega, Artemis, and Volkov had completed the documents they had to fill out.

"All right, give that man back!" ortega's word to Baron and Amstel.

The stern-faced old man read the documents filled in by Ortega. "Your age? Still 312 years. Too young to decide to marry and make a kingdom with a man. Especially with half-human offspring. We don't know if that girl is dangerous or not,"

Volkov transformed himself into a big wolf and showed his sharp teeth to the two leaders of the clan. "Jenna is harmless!"

Some vampires dressed as bodyguards came forward to confront Volkov in the form of a wolf. They brandished a long rifle to stop the dangerous movement of Volkov.

"We are the ones who are dangerous. Not that man! Let him go or-" threatened Ortega. His two eyeballs turned red and he let out his fangs. Not only Ortega, Artemis also pulled out his two sharp fangs.

Baron and Amstel laughed. They seemed to enjoy the show that was being played by their midnight guests. "Or what, Young Man?"

"You intend to fight us only with determination and love? Ahahaha! There would be no sadness if everything could be won with just those two things" said Amstel, rubbing his beard. He did not flinch at all, amid Ortega's threats. To the old man, his guests were just a bunch of young people yesterday afternoon.

The baron got up from his chair and he approached Volkov, stroking the wolf mane gently. "We're going to find out if your human friend is dangerous or not. Once we make sure he's safe, we'll take him off,"

"Go back and tell Kamila, we're still holding one of your friends" Baron said again and he left the room followed by Anstel and their guards.

In a room that was like a bedroom, Jenna lay on the bed. Something knocked him unconscious that morning.

Baron and Amstel entered the room and raised their hands on Jenna's forehead without touching her.

Jenna opened her two eyes slowly and she was very surprised when she saw Baron and Amstel standing in front of her. "Where is Ortega and the others!"

"They're back, you're the one who's still in our place" Amstel said. He took one of Jenna's hands and held it.

I don't know what the bearded man did, but his forehead was wrinkled, as if he was thinking hard. "Hmmm, I can't read your future and even, I can't read your mind. What power is that, man?"

Baron was interested in hearing Amstel's words, he cut his eyes and looked at Jenna sharply. Nothing happened.

"What do you expect?" jenna asked, as if reading Baron's thoughts and actions.

"No. I just feel what you feel" Jenna replied honestly. Just like when he felt Zac and Volkov's fear, that's how it felt.

The two vampire men whistled. "Wohoho, that's amazing! What makes you half-human like this? Are you dangerous?"

Jenna shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know. So far, I have no criminal record other than my debt record to my boss. I have never attacked anyone or any other creature. Ah, except for the half-fish creature that was crowded about. They attack innocent people and suck their blood dry. You know that news?"

"Hmmm, we know and before we act, the news is gone. We thought it was just bird news. Did you destroy it?" ask Amstel.

Jenna nodded. "Yes, the three of us to be exact."

Baron and Amstel watched Jenna enthusiastically. They seem very interested in the girl. Especially to the changing color of Jenna's eyes, which the two men had just realized.

"your eyes. Does it mean anything?" ask Baron.

"See, I don't know. My real eyes are hazel green and ever since Ortega and Volkov put their blood in my body, they've changed color and we're connected. You know, like having a bond. Can you guys take me off? I think it's almost morning now" Jenna answered and asked.

Baron and Amstel nodded in admiration. They stayed away a little from Jenna for a discussion. The two adult vampires whispered and nodded, occasionally seeing Jenna from the corner of their eyes, then whispered back.

After a seemingly complicated discussion, they release Jenna on condition. "You we let go. So far, you we've considered harmless. But, you have to help us for some things. Nah! Not now, we mean going forward in case something, like that, happens,"

Jenna nodded. "alright. I also made conditions for you. My friend is a human, yesterday the unexpected Alena turned out to be a vampire, sucked my friend's blood and now, my friend with Kamila Sayeed. I asked Miss Sayeed to bring it back to life and automatically, that friend of mine is going to be a vampire like you too, right? I will, accept him in your clan. Hows it? I think it's a pretty good exchange,"

Baron and Amstel thought again and before long they nodded in agreement. "As long as he's a vampire and if, just if, he turns into some kind of Feral, we'll kill him,"

Jenna doesn't know what a feral is and in order for this deal to be done quickly, Jenna agrees. "OK,"

Baron and Amstel stack their hands and Baron takes Jenna's hand for her to stack on top of his hand. "This is our covenant, whoever transgresses, will die,"

A red light rose from between their hands and radiated throughout the room.

While in Kamila's basement,

Ortega, Artemis, and Volkov had already gathered there. They wait for Jenna to be released while waiting for Zac to wake up.

Before long, Jenna came. "How's it?"

"Awhile more. You want to open the casket cover?" ask Kamila to Jenna. "Or, if you're afraid you can turn that task on to-,"

"I'm not afraid and I'm gonna open that lid!" jenna hatch.

They wait in silence. Jenna wishes in her heart that Zac would turn into a vampire instead of the other creature mentioned by the clan leader.

Fifteen minutes later, Kamila nodded towards Jenna. "open up. You still have human blood so don't get too close to him. He'll feel really hungry and it'll be hard to adapt to everything,"

"OK," Jenna stepped forward.

She shifts the lid of the crate and as soon as she sees Jenna, Zac growls, ready to pounce on Jenna. Both of his eyes were red and his fangs he took out. "Rrrghrrrrr!"
