Chapter 9. The World of Day and Night bag. 6

In a city that turned dark and quiet, only the sound of footsteps belonging to the two of them could be heard. Running as fast as they could, they finally reached the weapon shop. Without thinking, Kaito immediately kicked the door until it was broken.

BRAAAC

Inside the room, there was only Ryou and the objects he had previously ordered on the cashier table. Kaito approached Ryou who was still standing in front of the cashier table with a confused look while still holding Kino's hand.

“Ryou!!”

“Kaito, Kino! You're back. Where have you two been?”

“Ryou! Is Ryou okay?”

“Aaa..I'm fine. But I heard the sound of the clock ticking like that time and suddenly everything disappeared except these objects”

Kino looked around the room in the shop and was completely shocked. The place was just like the drugstore he had visited with Kaito, all of them disappeared. The gun shop left nothing but a table with weapons that Kaito had previously ordered.

Upon reaching the cashier's desk, Kaito removed his grip, put down the two bags of cloth he was carrying and checked all the weapons on the table. He took his sword back.

“Kaito, you have to explain everything. I stayed here and did nothing but listen to the owner of this store show his wares and talk. Then, suddenly all disappeared without a trace..”.

“Ooi, Kaito?”

Ryou talks to Kaito but he doesn't seem to listen. Kaito's view focused on all the weapons on the table. Among all the weapons on the table, he saw three sword-binding belts, two to tie a long sword and a special dagger belt that could hold three knives at once. It was something he had never ordered before.

“Ryou, did you touch these things when we left earlier?”

“The shopkeeper offered me this belt because the sword and dagger you ordered were not equipped with a belt to store it. Of course I touched it. Just so you know, I even tried that belt on my waist”

Kaito smiles at Ryou and praises him with the words “good work”. Kaito quickly wears a sword belt and pairs the sword without his sheath. She also wears one other belt and pairs another double-edged sword to Ryou's waist.

“This is the fastest way. Please just shut up and don't talk too much, little boy!! Don't move much or I'm hard to install this”

When finished, Kaito took the following dagger with his belt to wear to Kino's waist.

“Now I will explain the use of this weapon quickly. Our time is limited so you two put your ears to good”

Kaito quickly explains every element of the weapon they have and how they can use it to its full potential. He also distributed the three types of medicine he carried, each of them getting thirty bottles of medicine from each type. The bags are then firmly tied to their respective gun belts.

“This land I will use as a long-range assault. I'm sure you've never used an arrow or a sword. But, you guys should be able to fight now. Your life will be at stake since you entered the ‘world tonight’”

“We know. I won't let those wolves come back to attack us. Besides, I will avenge the deeds of those who hurt me yesterday” Ryou sweats from tension but looks spirit highlighted in his eyes. Prove that he will really fight.

At that moment, the group of goblins along with the source of the foot-banging sound had already passed through the shops around the area including where they were hiding. There were only about ten or eleven more left in the back row of his group until everything was gone. But everything changes because of someone's carelessness.

Thanks to the person, the goblin heard a gurgling sound from inside the shop and went in there out of curiosity.

So far, not a single goblin has entered the buildings in the city. They just went through it and walked all over the streets of the city, dispersing without checking the inside. But now, a goblin entered a shop building that only had a table in it.

As the goblins began to approach and check what was behind the table, a sudden attack was made by Kaito.

Kaito attacked the goblin with his sword, creating a very deep incision in the neck so that the goblin's head almost broke off and made purplish blood stain the robe he was wearing.

Before dying, the goblin made a few seconds of sound. And thanks to those few seconds of sound from the goblin, the other goblins in the back row started running around and attacking Kaito. Kaito's fight at ‘the night’ world has finally begun.

Without further ado, with a quick movement, Kaito attacked the ten other goblins aggressively running towards him. The shop building was an enclosed area that had only one exit, plus the goblins were attacking simultaneously from each side making his chances of escaping very small. However, Kaito did not need that chance.

The options he had were only two, ‘kill or be killed’. Therefore, no Kaito attacks were in vain.

From behind the table, the two brothers see Kaito fighting and they realize how strong he is. It is so easy to take advantage of situations and attack without giving your opponent a chance to fight back. Their differences in abilities are very noticeable.

That was the sentence Kaito once said, as they separated from him while searching for his sword in the city. A little mistake can be fatal.  This battle was caused by a few mistakes made by them. If only they could calm down and not make a sound, they could have avoided the fight and remained in a safe state.

Ryou felt very guilty. He wants to help Kaito fight those goblins. But, if he goes there it will only hinder Kaito's movement.

At the moment when doubt appeared, there was a sentence that became his new spirit.

Kino confidently smiled and said that everything would be fine.

“You're right, Kino. Besides, what's the point of all these weapons we already have if only for accessories? I also have to take responsibility for starting this. Besides, it's not fair if Kaito gets cool by himself”

Ryou started to regain confidence. His eyes changed and began to get excited. Without hesitation, he pulled the sword beside him and ran to attack, but it seemed like it was just his initial move showing ability. Kino could only smile with his sister's behavior and Kaito who heard that tried to hold his hand to hit the big master's head.

“Toooooooooooooooo. Moreover, if only eleven goblins can still handle themselves. Thank you for your carelessness earlier, we should immediately run away from here before their other groups surround this place”

Their luck is tested. Just as Kaito said that, the other goblins began to arrive. They started attacking the three men.

Kino held the dagger in both hands and came out from behind the table in a position ready to fight. With a quick movement he ran up to Ryou who was in front of him. Kaito attacks to get rid of the goblins that are blocking the exit, while Ryou puts up the purple shield for protection as he and his brother break through the road that Kaito has opened.

‘This shield is very light but the material used is so strong. With this, it can be used to defend and protect Kino’

Ryou was astonished and praised the shield in his heart because it was so easy to use. He looked towards Kino and said, “follow me and don't fall behind”

Kino responded with confidence.

“I'll be right behind you, Ryou”

They started running after Kaito.

The number of goblins blocking the entrance was quite large and every time they were defeated, another group that was already in front started to come to attack.

As they arrived outside and looked to the left side, they had to see the sight of not wearing. Dozens of goblins that had not been counted by them started running after them. The three men ran as fast as they could towards the other side of the road.

Kaito suddenly slowed down his running speed. His current position was level with that of the brothers. He asked the two to run faster.

“You two run faster. Back to a safe place for us to hide!!”

“Kaito-san!! Whatchu mean? What do you want to do?”

“I will reduce their number a little. Don't worry, I'm behind you. Kino, I believe you can understand what I mean. It was the first chance that we could escape this situation”

Kaito's speed now began to slow down and his distance from the Yuki brothers grew further and further. He turned his body and prepared to attack with his arrow. The arrow he had was equipped with thirty arrows. At least with that arrow he intended to eliminate ten to fifteen goblins.

Shots began to be fired in the direction of the goblin herd.

One by one the goblins died from Kaito's arrow shot. Occasionally Kaito also ran back quickly to keep his distance from the group of goblins chasing after him.

As it was known that the weapons the goblins had were only short swords and shields so there was no way they could attack from a distance.

It was very beneficial for Kaito. Moreover the ability of shooting arrows from him was truly like a professional.

Even though the goblins had put a shield in front of them but it was still not enough to withstand the speed of the arrow Kaito released. ‘The world of night’ this time was slightly siding with him as no thick fog appeared, making his gaze while shooting arrows very clear.

‘I'm very sure they will be able to know the state of this ‘world tonight’. My feeling is pretty good this time. For the first time, I can entrust myself to someone else’

Kino and Ryo continued to run as fast as they could while continuing to increase their vigilance towards the surrounding area. As Kino looked back he realized that the distance between them and Kaito was already far enough that the shadows of the two of them were nowhere to be seen.

Ryou stopped and looked. He stopped to observe the situation.

“Why doesn't he catch up with us? There was no way he would be defeated by that group of goblins. He said himself that he had fought them before.”

“Do not!” while holding his sister's hand, Kino forbade her from leaving

“Kaito-san entrusts something to me. He said he wanted us to go back to safety. I still don't understand what that safe place means but he's obviously asking us to think of something”

“What did he mean by that I did not understand him at all. Even though he himself said he had to think fast but instead gave us a guess. Is there such a place here?”

Kino looked around. There's something strange with all the places in the city in the night‘'s ’world. From what they remembered when they first came, all the buildings looked black and dark. Besides, there's nothing in it. There are no doors and windows either. Totally empty like a vacuum. It was exactly the same as the circumstances in the area where they stopped. Nothing., like ‘emptybox’ in ‘world malam’.

Kino held back her steps after hearing those words.

The quick movement of his sword managed to hit the chest of the creature and the creature instantly died.
