14. Family Events

Early in the morning Rahma looks beautiful and neat. He was going to the Sultan's family wedding. After the morning prayer Rendi called Rahma, she would come to pick up at eight in the morning.

Rahma waited to be picked up while eating bread. Rendi tells Rahma not to eat breakfast because later there will be given breakfast. However, Rahma was afraid that suddenly her stomach sounded from hunger. Be ashamed of it until it happens. Rahma had to have breakfast first even with a piece of bread.

As he was eating his cell phone bread rang. There's an incoming call. Rahma took the posel she had placed on the table. On the screen of his phone it says Rendi callilng. Rahma answered Rendy's phone.

“Assalamualaikum,” Rahma said with a mouth full of bread.

“Waalaikumsalam. I am in front of your boarding house,” replied Rendi.

“Good, Sir. I'll be out soon.” Rahma turned off her phone while chewing bread. Then he drank water and swallowed all the remaining bread in his mouth. Rahma glanced at the glass attached to the wall of her room. He checked to see if any food was stuck to his teeth and lips.

After his appearance looks okay then Rahma out of the room while carrying shoes. Rahma locked the door and walked to the living room. Rahma saw Rendi standing in front of the door while turning her back. Rahma put the shoes on and put on the shoes. Hearing the sound of Rendy's heels, he looked back. He saw Rahma wearing shoes.

“Let's go,” Rahma said after putting on the shoes. Rendi looked at Rahma from top to bottom. Rahma wears a long-sleeved plain dress and a plain veil that matches her veil.

“Why? Ugly, huh?” rahma asked while looking back at her appearance.

“No. Good, really,” replied Rendi.

“We leave now, grandfather and mom are waiting in the car,” said Rendi.

Rendi and Rahma walk away from the place of Rahma's boarding house. They walked towards Rendi's car which was parked on the side of the road. When you arrive at the car Rendi engine Rendi car is still in a state of light. Rahma opened the back door. When the door opened suddenly someone greeted Rahma.

“Hai,” greet Mother Claudia.

“Hai, Aunt.” Rahma gets in the car and she cipika cipiki with Claudia's mother.

The Sultan sitting in front looked back. “Kakek is not addressed?” ask Mr. Sultan.

“How are you, Grandpa?” Rahma saluted Mr. Sultan.

“Grandfather is fine,” replied Mr Sultan.

Rendi got into the car and sat behind the wheel. Then he drove his car. Rendi drove his car to Banda Street. Along the way Claudia's mother took Rahma to speak. Occasionally Pak Sultan chimed in on their conversation.

They finally reached the road of Banda.  Rendi turned his car into Graha Pos Indonesia. Rendi stopped her car in front of the lobby. Mr. Sultan, Mrs Claudia and Rahma got off in front of the lobby. After that, Rendi runs her car to the parking lot.

Mr. Sultan, Mrs Claudia and Rahma headed straight to the ballroom. Arriving at the ballroom they were welcomed by the family of Mr. Sultan. When he saw Rahma, the Sultan's family wondered who Rahma was. Because they just saw Rahma.

“This who?” ask Mr. Sailendra Pak Sultan's brother.

“He's a friend of Rendi,” replied Mr. Sultan.

Rahma salutes Mr. Sailendra and his wife.

“Contact!” Mr. Sailendra let them sit in the place that has been provided because soon the marriage contract will begin. Rahma sat next to Claudia's mother.

Suddenly there was a noise in the back. The voice of the man who spoke. Rahma looked back and found that Rendi had come. He talked to his brothers. Soon the atmosphere became quiet and the marriage contract would begin soon.

Rahma attended the wedding ceremony. He watched every process until the wedding ceremony was over. After the wedding, they are welcome to have breakfast. Mr. Sultan and Aunt Claudia sat in the reserved seats. They did not take food because there was a special waiter who brought breakfast for elderly parents.

Rendi and Rahma had to take their own food. They were waiting with other guests. Rendi tells Rahma to stand in front while they are in line to pick up food. Suddenly someone touched Rahma's back. Rahma looked back.

Finally, Rahma's turn to take food. On the table are three kinds of food. Sandwiches, fried rice and chicken curry lontong. Rahma chose to take chicken curry lontong. Rendi also took chicken curry lontong. They were looking for an empty chair. They sat together and enjoyed breakfast.

Suddenly there was a brother Rendi sitting next to Rendi.

“That's who, Ren?” Hilman pointed at Rahma with his chin.

“Oh, this is my friend,” replied Rendi.

Rendi turned to Rahma. “Ma, this is my brother,” Rahma said. Rahma shakes Hilman.

Hilman whispered to Rendi. “Not Secretary Rendi, right?” ask Hilman.

“Not,” Reply Rendi.

Somehow, almost everyone around Rendi thought that Rahma was an employee of Rendi. Maybe because Rendi never brought a woman to a family event. Moreover, Rahma's simple appearance is more appropriate to be a Rendi employee than a friend of Rendi.

At eleven, the two brides entered the ballroom accompanied by a special motorcade of the bride Sundanese, while they were watching the convoy of the bride Claudia whispered to Rahma.

“Later to join family photos, yes!” said Claudia's mother. Rahma simply replied with a nod.

Completed the bridal motorcade the guests are allowed to congratulate both brides. Suddenly the host called Pak Sultan's family to be photographed together with the bride. Claudia's mother took Pak Sultan up to the top of the guarantee. Rendi followed her grandfather and mother from behind. Rahma stayed where she did not follow them.

Rendi looked back and saw that Rahma was not with them. He came back and approached Rahma. Then he took Rahma's hand so that Rahma would come with them for a photo together. Rahma could not resist, she followed Rendi from behind. Rendi continues to hold Rahma's hand until it reaches above the pelaminan. Stylists began to set their positions. They follow the direction of the stylist. Finally the photographer took a picture of them.

Finished the photo with them congratulating the two brides. After that, they enjoyed the dishes that were prepared. Mr. Sultan and Ms. Claudia sit at the VIP table together with Mr. Sailendra and his wife. Catering employees get food for them. Rendi takes Rahma around looking for food.

After they finished eating, they returned to Mr. Sailendra and his wife. Mr. Sultan, Ms. Claudia and Rahma went with Rendi to the parking lot instead of waiting in the lobby. Getting out of the parking lot is easier than getting out in front of the lobby.

Rendi drove his car to Nyland Street. He decided to take his grandfather and mother first. When he arrived at the house, Rendi put his car into the yard. With a swift Pak Atmo immediately opened the car door for Mrs Claudia and Mr. Sultan. Mr. Sultan and Ms. Claudia got out of the car. Rahma also got out of the car and greeted Mr. Sultan and Ms. Claudia.

“Thank you for accompanying Aunt and Grandpa to the family event,” said Claudia's mother.

“Sama-sama, Aunt,” replied Rahma.

“Sometimes join family events again,” said Mr Sultan.

“Insyaallah,” replied Rahma.

"Auntie comes in first. Assalamualaikum," said Claudia's mother.

"Waalaikumsalam, " replied Rahma.

Claudia's mother and Sultan's father entered the house. Rendi and Rahma got back in the car. Rendi pulls the car out of the yard and runs the car from her house to the Rahma boarding house.
