Their conversation was interrupted with voices emerging from behind the hill. A voice that was very disturbing and attracted everyone's attention. Zena and Cheo stared at each other, before leaving the building and running around the hill.
Mr. Karim who looked confused, stepped his feet towards where Zena was running. He who is old is already slow so far left behind by the two young nimble.
Zena and Cheo were stunned when they saw two large-bodied tigers surrounding the van at the foot of the green hill. Tigris looks restless in the cage, Zena's gasps run to meet the two.
"Belle! Yum!" call him in a high, shrill voice. The two tigers turned their heads, like recognizing who was standing there. Both of them lowered their vigilance, stepping slowly with their eyes focused on the figure of Zena who was also approaching.
"Tamma! You're so big, you look like your father. Do you miss us?" Zena rubbed the fur of the tiger which was smaller than the other two, but still bigger than her.
Tuma growled, feeling the soft touch of Zena's fingers on his neck. The animal's eyes closed, its head swiped against Zena's body hugging the master. Belle, the tiger mother is approaching. Hugged Zena, missed the girl island guard them.
Cheo smiled, he ran and jumped on top of Tuma's body making the animal growl happy. The little boy's laughter broke apart, playing with the large animals he cared for and cared for when he used to live on the island.
The girl pulled the lip line up, taking Belle to the Tigris. Zena opens the animal enclosure letting both of them let go of the longing for today and tomorrow before going to their destination. Two adult tigers, along with their son Cheo, run into the forest where they used to play and hunt.
Mr. Karim gawked at the sight, for the first time he saw the Zena family that had been hidden. Also the house where the girl lives. Feeling that someone noticed Zena turning her eyes to the side of the body, she smiled as she nodded politely at the old figure.
Unexpectedly, Mr. Karim stepped closer. Her curiosity wanted to know all about Zena.
"Is this?"
"They're my family, all this time I've lived here with them" said Zena ahead of Mr. Karim's unfinished sentence.
"God! So Nak Zena's been living here all along? No one should know, it turns out your house is hidden behind the bushes and towering trees," said Mr. Karim was amazed by the condition of Zena's house that was no longer habitable.
"True, I lived here all along and only Ciul knew the whereabouts of my house," Zena replied showing her almost collapsed hut.
Mr. Karim stared at the hut made of wooden planks, shook his head sadly feeling concerned about the situation of Zena who was far from community life around the island.
"I'm sorry, Son Zena. We ...."
"It's okay, Uncle. I don't care for that, I'd rather no one knows about this house, but thank you because Uncle and Ciul have taken good care of my house" Zena interrupted quickly. He smiled understandingly.
Mr. Karim spread his eyes around the place, there was no place to go.
"Nmh ... Son Zena, if you want to stay at Uncle's house. Uncle's wife must be happy to see Nak Zena," bargained Mr. Karim hope.
There was an uneasy feeling to refuse, but leaving them was impossible. It's time to let go of the miss with them before tomorrow goes back on its way.
"Umh .. I'm sorry Uncle. It's not that I don't want to accept Uncle's offer to stay the night, but they miss me getting together and it's impossible if I take them out of here. So, I'm just gonna sleep here anyway, and in this car there's everything I need. Once again thank you and apologize" said Zena, bowing to apologize with all the uncomfortable feeling in her heart.
Mr. Karim understood very well, he said goodbye and did not force at all. The day changed into twilight, the shadow was present to greet the world. Zena stepped slowly up the green hill to see the view of the adicolor presented by the sky.
The sound of footsteps rang out from within the forest, forming an upward curved line on the lips of the girl. Before long, Tuma appeared with Cheo holding a partridge in hand. Two adult tigers jumped behind him.
"Sister!" he cried with pleasure.
He had never changed, remaining that way despite having long left the island. Cheo leaped from the top of Tuma's body and ran towards Zena.
"You are great! We'll burn this chicken for dinner" said Zena invites everyone to enjoy the twilight first before going home.
******
"Mmm .. This is the food I missed. Island, I've always loved you." Cheo licked his fingers after spending half of the jungle chicken he caught.
Zena glanced while continuing to eat her other half. They were gathered behind the house, just like before. Under the star-studded sky umbrella, showing their beautiful dancing was dazzling.
"It's late at night, we should sleep because tomorrow must immediately continue the journey," asked Zena after finishing the forest chicken.
The two enter the van, leaving the sleeping Tigris with his family. Like a house, there is a bed that can be occupied by two people. They fell asleep hugging each other, leaving the windows open.
The Tigris is still the same as it used to be, although in a sleeping state the animal remains alert and well-guarded. He opened his eyes, slowly moving as he felt suspicious around his bed.
He growls weakly, warning Belle and Tuma to be vigilant. The three animals wake up, and place themselves on three sides of the van where Zena is asleep. The Tigris shows its sharp fangs, as something inside the bush begins to approach.
Tuma jumped on top of the van, waiting there. The small shock disturbed Zena's deep sleep. He gawked at the window, instantly perceiving when he saw the Tigris there and being alert.
"Some are coming" he murmured softly.
Cheo who was also sensitive to movement, woke up.
"What's up, brother?" ask her with a loud voice.
"There's someone coming" Zena replied.
He again gawked at the Tigris and gave him the order to hide. Fishing those who come. Zena did not know if they were friends or opponents. The animal complied, stepping into hiding with Belle. Unless Tuma stays on top of the van watching.
"Prepare yourself for every possibility we face, Cheo. We don't know who's coming" Zena remembers.
The van lights are deliberately turned off, making them free to watch. Plus the dark surroundings without a single light illuminating. It was dark, leaving two small lights on top of the van. Light from Tuma's eyes.
"They're getting closer!"
