Zena: The Last Fight

Zena: The Last Fight
The Coming of the Eagle

Sebastian who succumbed to his feelings went on the run of duty from the State. Guarding the border for months. Hoping that with all of those activities, he could forget about Zena and give it up for the Big Brother.

Zena is being held to leave the village of Hulu by her two old friends. The healed longing gave a perfect taste in their hearts. Zena helped the villagers in the fields without hesitation, let alone shame. The activity reminded him of life on the island long ago.

For almost a month he was in the village without thinking about the state of the city he left. Residents there can even accept the presence of the Tigris that does not disturb their lives. The animal is left to live on the edge of the forest, foraging for its own food.

"You happy to live here?" zena asked Cheo who was helping her in the fields picking fruits.

The boy smiled, there was satisfaction formed on his face line. Her tiny hands were deftly picking and throwing fruit into the basket.

"Well, this reminds me of when we lived on the island first. I'd rather live here than in the city, too many strange things humans do there. In contrast to life here, humans are acting normal and not spoiled," Cheo replied as he sipped his lips as he recalled the residents of the town of Eagle spoiled by modern tools.

Zena ruffled her hair, they continued fruit picking activities in the fields owned by Ciul. The fruits will be taken by the besiegers who come from the city, they just gather them into baskets.

"Barry, don't be too tall! The wind was strong" cried Nira to her son who continued to creep on the tree.

"Just calm down, Mom. I will not fall" said the little boy, shouting.

Cheo looked up, trying to figure out what the kid of his age wanted to take. He smiled, looking at a bird cage that was at a height.

"He will not be able to take it, if it continues to rise then the branches up there will definitely be broken," Cheo murmured after looking at the state of the tree branch that the child stepped on.

"really? Can you see it?" Zena chimed in while continuing to pluck the fruit and put it into the basket.

"Let's see, the wind up there must be very strong. The tree will sway, and when the branch he was leaning along swayed with a heavy load on it then did not rule out the possibility of the branch will break because it is unable to hold Barry's weight," obviously Cheo suddenly made Zena stop the movement of her hand picking fruit while looking up to the branch of the tree that Cheo meant.

Zena stepped closer to the tree where Barry was. Looking up while looking at the state of the tree as well as its branches that have dried in some parts.

"Barry, looks like you're going down. This tree looks a little fragile, I'm afraid that branch will not be able to hold your body," Zena half-cried at the brat on top of the tree.

"Just calm down, brother. Soon I'll get it" Barry said.

The boy's feet began to creep down the branch to reach the end where a bird's nest was. One of his hands clung to the trunk of the tree, the other stuck out trying to get the nest. The boy looked serious, he was working hard to reach him.

However, the balance was lost, when a large eagle flew over the tree.

"Aragh!"

"Barry!"

Nira shouted loudly when the sound of a broken branch sounded loud enough followed by Barry's screams that blared. The small body floated down, Zena caught it easily. Everyone almost lost their breath seeing the scene. Imagining Barry falling makes them feel pained themselves.

"You all right?" ask Zena while lowering Barry's shivering little body.

He shook his head, continuing to scatter into Nira's arms as the woman ran towards him.

Cheo pointed at the sky as Zena turned her head towards him. An eagle flew around the Hulu village as if looking for a place to land. All the residents were worried. The eagle appears to be larger than the eagle they used to see.

A bad feeling haunts the girl's mind, Zena comes out from under the tree. He whistled to call the eagle while bending his hand.

The residents frowned in surprise, but they remained silent and waited. Including Ciul and Nira who do not know the origin of a Zena. They are waiting for what happens next.

"Be careful, son!"

A man ran with a machete in his hand, but his steps were again drawn when Zena raised her hand asking not to approach. They thought the eagle was going to attack Zena because of the way he was flying that was dipping sharply.

They were flabbergasted when the sky-ruling beast perched in Zena's hands. Barry even opened his mouth wide and was amazed and horrified to see the shape of a giant bird.

"He's so brave! Brother is so cool!" he murmured unconsciously.

Zena smiled as she rubbed her dense fur, something hanging there attracted attention. Zena took the scroll, flew back the eagle that kept perching on a tree branch.

Zena opened the scroll, carefully reading it a hand scrawl written in a hurry.

"Stay there, don't come back for a while! Or until I ask you to come home."

As soon as the message was written, Zena frowned not understanding. From that writing style he could guess who had written it. Who else if not Chendrik.

"What's up, brother?" Cheo walked over, his eyes glancing at the piece of paper in Zena's hand. He gave the paper to Cheo for him to read.

"Why do you think he wrote like that? Does he not want us back?" zena asked implied confusion on her firm face line.

"Let's go, maybe Dad wants us to enjoy the holidays before I go to school. Anyway, I still want to stay here." Cheo looked around.

Ciul's fruit plantations are exactly like the fields on Liman Island. Only the state of the area is different. Liman Island is surrounded by ocean, and the village of Hulu is surrounded by forest.

Zena glanced and looked at Cheo's happy eyes so thought maybe what the boy said had a point. Taking a few more seconds seems okay.

"Alright, we'll follow what your father wants. It seems like the day is getting late, we should go back home," said Zena although her heart was not sure what was spoken.

He took a deep breath, unraveling the conjecture that made his chest cavity feel narrowed. Repeatedly brushed off, but still the bad thoughts were reluctant to go and continue to haunt.

Until night comes in place of day, Zena can't shut it down at all. His mind continued to drift to the town of Eagle nun far away there. He moved on, picking up a cell phone intending to contact people in the city.

However, none of them could be reached, including Zena's three friends who had not contacted her for several days.

"What's wrong with them?"
