Zena: The Last Fight

Zena: The Last Fight
Where Are The Men?

It was noon, then it changed in the afternoon. Zena's car continues to drive on the big streets, but not as crowded as the town of Eagle. Some children are sleeping some, some are still talking cheerfully. Zena just listened without getting involved in the children's chat.

"Is it still far away? We've been on the road almost all day, but we haven't been there yet" asked Cheo, tired.

He folded both hands, snorting in annoyance. Though they were already in the destination area, but the road they crossed seemed endless.

"A little while, brother. Just turn left after passing through the plantation, our village will be seen" said one of the children patiently.

No more words, they kept quiet all the way. The children's mischief was no longer heard, the situation became quiet. Only Zena is awake.

His head turned to the right and left, their car crossing the village market that was not too crowded. Many traders sell their sales, ranging from various foods, to household needs. Zena pulled over, dismounted carefully.

He approached one of the merchant stalls selling various kinds of cakes. His hands were busy choosing to point one by one the cakes that made his saliva overflow. He got back in the car, continued on his way.

"Where's my brother from?" Cheo asked, his voice a typical raucous wake up.

"Buy food. That, eat!" sahut Zena pointed at the package using his chin. Cheo moved to justify his sitting position, he opened the package and took one of the food.

"Mmm .. sweet." Cheo commented with his mouth filled with food.

"Wake them up and eat together" Zena commanded again.

Cheo moved to the back, waking up all the sleeping children. It was getting dark, but the village road was still nowhere to be seen. Crowded voices filled the car, the children's chirping again filled his ears.

"Front there, take the road to the left, brother!" one of the kids showed me the way.

Zena glanced at the road, extending her neck to see the road ahead. He turned the wheel to the left, the road became narrow. On the right and left are the estates of the citizens with no street lights to illuminate.

"Why are there no street lights?" ask Zena confused.

It loosens its footing on the gas pedal, reducing its speed. The sky was getting darker, the twilight clouds had changed with the black clumps that surrounded the earth. Darkened.

"Here is very minimal electricity, brother, there are even still houses that do not install electricity."

Zena was stunned, the situation here was exactly like the island of Liman back then. Electricity does not come in, neither does school. Children were sent to other islands to get an education. However, as time went on, the underdeveloped island became modern. They even built a paved road that became the access of the residents to their destination.

Zena opened the car window, cool and fresh air immediately greeted his nostrils. Molecules without pollution begin to fill the lungs clearing them of city pollution. The lines of her lips lifted to form a perfect arch. Zena opened her mouth, feeling the peace flowing through her heart.

"It's very cool here, just like on the island before," murmured Zena softly.

The wind let him in, hit the surface of Zena's delicate skin. Occasionally his hand would come out picking the leaves that he crossed. Flickering lights in the distance began to be caught in the net. The sign of the residents' houses is no longer far away.

Village gates made of bamboo slats welcomed their arrival. The children opened the windows, shouting for the names of their friends who survived the kidnapping yesterday.

Women and children sprung from the doors of the house, watching Zena's slow-moving car on the village's middle road. Roads made only of rocks are arranged, and are not given asphalt. It is certain that if heavy rain falls, the road will become slippery.

Zena smiled to greet the women standing on the porch of their house, in front of each woman the children were leaping happily. They paraded Zena's car into the middle of the village. The girl went downstairs, circling around the van to open the door.

"Mother!" The crying they were watching was blue.

Zena smiled bitterly, they were still greeted with hugs upon returning home. Unlike her, who had to be independent at a young age. A frown appeared on the girl's forehead as she saw one of the children standing by her side. He's Ben's nephew, the village chief's son.

"Barry, why are you still standing here? Where are your parents?" asked Zena while giving a soft sweep to the child's head.

Barry looked up, looking at Zena with a sad and sad look. His head shook weakly, then looked down deeply. The women whose children Zena saved came to them. Greeting kindly while giving thanks.

"Sorry, Mom. Where are all the men here? Why do I only see women and children?" Zena couldn't bear to ask.

Since his arrival, no male creatures have been seen among them. They are all just women and children.

"They're looking for kidnapped children, all day long not coming home. There are a lot of children who have gone missing and never come home. This time, the search was done in a big way. Not just because the village chief's son was kidnapped, but because we were already so terrified by this terror, son," the woman replied.

Her eyes glazed with sadness wanting to cry, water slumped to the surface and tragically fell down on her cheeks. He held the child, fear clearly visible in the line of his face that began to wrinkle.

"Do you know where they're going?" ask Zena again.

"Maybe they're going to the forest right now. According to one resident there is a suspicious building in the forest. The village chief and all the residents are investigating the place" he replied.

Zena folded her lips, looking down while thinking.

"Where is the forest headed?"

"Why? Do you want to catch up with them? You're just a girl, stay here. Let the men go. They'll be back, too" the woman did not hide the worry from her face.

Zena smiled, just wanted to tell one of the girls how Zena took down their captors.

"Sister is very great, it might be able to help investigate the case that occurred in our village," concluded the boy full of admiration.

The other women and children who heard, gawked in disbelief. Their eyes flickered, their breathing stopped blowing.

"Ekhem! So, where's the forest headed?" Zena repeated her question.

With trembling hands, the woman pointed in one direction. A straight road passes through the village, at the end of the village there is a dense forest.

"Alright," Zena broke up with a sigh, "Cheo, Big Brother will go alone. You and the Tigris stay here guarding the citizens. Don't act rashly, stay with them."

Zena rubbed the boy's hair with a smile. He walked into the car, took a bow and a tube filled with arrows. Not to forget, his weapon. Samurai legend. Everyone was stunned to see her figure coming out like a War Goddess. She looks brave and brave and beautiful, of course.

"I'll leave my son to you, if you all see a tiger coming out of the car, that's my friend. He'll be taking care of you. Pray for me" said Zena.

He turned around, swung his legs a few steps, but then turned around again.

"Umh .. Does anyone have a horse?"
