On a slightly quiet road, a car was traveling at a fairly high speed. Inside the four-wheeled vehicle, there were two men who were busy with their respective activities. Some are busy driving, some are busy talking to someone via phone.
They had just returned from a restaurant that was a meeting place with clients while enjoying lunch dishes. It didn't take long for that person to convince the client of the project that would tie the two companies together.
"Well, I'll go home later" said the person then turned off the phone unilaterally.
He exhaled a long breath while closing his eyes. However, he instantly regained his senses when the shadow of the girl he had once helped appeared there.
Why am I thinking about that girl?
To cast away the shadow, he turned to the right side so that the stretch of road could grab his attention. However, instead of disappearing, he actually saw the shadow figure become real. His eyebrows frowned as he tried to focus his vision toward the opposite side of the road, where the pavement was.
"Let the car go down, Dennis!" tell the man to his right hand and his secretary.
"What's he doing? Why do you always walk alone?" it was his murmur that left Dennis frowning confused.
"Who are you asking, sir?" ask Dennis at the end.
"That little girl walking on the sidewalk."
Dennis stared at the rearview for a moment in order to see the figure his master meant. However, because the girl was walking in a direction that was inversely proportional to them, she could only see the back.
"Do you know him?"
The man fixed his sitting position, then cleared his throat. "No."
Dennis just nodded his head, then added speed because he was sure that his master was not interested in looking back.
...🍒🍒🍒...
Agnese is seen walking down the sidewalk holding the rope of the backpack being used. After spending orange juice with Joanna in the cafeteria, he decided to go home because he wanted to rest his body and brain.
Not without reason, because he felt confused about what happened. Moreover, it was a coincidence that he was helped and destroyed by the same person. That person is none other than the owner of the school foundation, Zach. Not finished thinking about the scholarship problem, now he has to think hard about how to get his phone back.
If he could ask, it was better that he never met Zach than to have to face more trials after meeting him. Life is hard, so he doesn't want to be overburdened.
Once home, Agnese placed the bag on the dining table and hurriedly prepared lunch for Briza. He cooked painstakingly until he was served a bowl of porridge and a plate of omelets. He washed his hands first before putting the cutlery on the tray.
“You're home?” briza asked as Agnese opened the door.
Agnese nodded. “How are you doing, Mom?”
“As you can see. No changes.”
Agnese exhaled a rough breath and approached Briza. “Mommy eat first, huh? Sorry if Mommy got tired of the menu that Agnese cooked.”
"It's okay. Oh yeah, how was your school, honey?” briza asked as she accepted the first bribe Agnese offered.
Agnese's body became stiff instantly. However, he immediately changed his face to look fine. He smiles. “Currently, Mom.”
“Sorry, yes. Mommy's been troubling you. You should just focus on learning, not taking care of me like this.”
“When Daddy was still around, maybe Agnese's job was just that. But not anymore. There's a lot Agnese has to do so we can survive, Mom.” Agnese smiled as she continued to feed Briza.
Dear God, thank you for sending a child like Agnese.
"Thank you for being such a great kid. I'm sorry that Mommy can't take good care of you." Agnese nodded and offered a final bribe to Briza. "May you always be happy, son."
"Mommy don't have to think about it, huh? Agnese was happy to be able to do this," Agnese said and exited the room.
After putting down the tableware, the girl looked at the kitchen ceiling with a long sigh. Although never going through a better life after the father died, he felt that his life was getting messy after meeting someone.
Someone who saved him from the bad guys. Even so, it was possible that that person would become someone who did something later on because Agnese had slapped him and argued clearly. Although he did it in self-defense, but he was afraid that at any time he would return to deal with the man.
