Chapter 7: The Old Man
#Find the old recluse
Mount Junji is a huge mountain in the middle of the territory of Satan and Man. This mountain is famous for its beauty and also as a place of asceticism for ascetics and mountain climbers. Mount Junji has some very difficult and dangerous hiking trails, only experienced ascetics and good physical abilities can reach the top of this mountain.
By late afternoon, sunlight shines on the top of the mountain which makes the mountain atmosphere more calm and peaceful. Around the top of the mountain, there is a cave that is used as a place of asceticism for ascetics. In the cave, Lara who was practicing met a very old hermit who was being imprisoned.
The atmosphere on the Junji mountain was very simple and calm, as if the entire world's troubles felt far away. Lara felt very comfortable being in Junji mountain, she felt as if she could find the answers to all her questions there. Lara was so impressed by the beauty and peace in Junji mountain, she felt as if she was in another world.
Lara decided to come closer and talk to the recluse. The ascetic opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Lara.
"Hi, young girl. What brings you here?" Ask the recluse.
"I'm practicing. I'm Lara" Lara replied respectfully. "Can I ask you a few things about something?"
"Of course, young brother. I'm willing to answer your question" replied the ascetic with a smile.
Lara asks the hermit about the concept of justice, the hermit explains that in order to achieve true justice, one must be able to understand and accept differences and see each individual as equal. The ascetic recounts his own experiences while ascetic on the mountain and finds an understanding of this. Lara is impressed and inspired by the story of the ascetic and begins to think about how she can understand and accept the differences of others.
The ascetic gave Lara some advice and meditation techniques to help her understand this and become a better person. Lara was very grateful and followed the ascetic's advice in earnest. After talking to the Sage for a few hours, Lara felt calmer and understood that in order to achieve justice, she had to start from within herself.
The ascetic gives some other advice to Lara and tells her that the journey to achieve true justice is a long and challenging one, but if one is willing to try and not give up, it will be achieved. Lara thanked him and said goodbye to the ascetic and left the mountain with a calm and inspired mind.
#Propaganda
Lara leaves from Junji mountain, Lara stops at a village rumored to be the government looted by the Devil. The blue sky and the sun shining brightly made her feel comfortable. When he saw the state of the village, he was surprised to see a quiet and peaceful village. Residents who live there look busy with their respective activities, some are working in the rice fields, others are harvesting rice.
Lara walks down the village and meets a resident who is repairing a bridge. "Excuse me" said Lara with a smile.
"can I help you?" Ask the people.
"I just want to see the state of this village, is it true that it is often attacked by Devils?" Ask Lara.
The people looked a little surprised. "No, we have never experienced an attack from the Devil, we live peacefully here."
"They were afraid that we would be targeted by Satan if we got too close to the outside world. But we don't mind, we have enough food and water. We live simply and peacefully here" the resident explained.
Lara. The dialogue with the citizens made him think, whether basically humans and Devils do not need to fight, if only they understand and respect each other. Lara said goodbye and continued her journey. The peaceful atmosphere of the village and the people's gratitude for what they have imprinted on his mind. Lara thinks that there is something wrong about the government isolating the village and says it is often demonized when it is not, but Lara does not know what the reason is.
#Good Devil
Lara was wandering through the forest, she saw a demon was protecting a group of humans from the attacks of other demons that were chasing them. Lara was surprised to see the action and immediately rushed to save the human.
Lara ran towards the demon and the human, she held her sword and was ready to fight the evil demon. However, the demon made an unexpected move and defended the human from the attacks of other demons, leaving Lara shocked.
"What are you doing?" ask Lara to the devil.
"I'm protecting them" the demon replied as he looked at Lara. "They're innocent and don't need to be involved in this war."
Lara looked at the demon questioningly. "Is there a good demon?"
The devil smiled. "Of course, not all of us intend evil."
Lara helps the demon to protect the human and takes him to a nearby village. Upon arriving there, Lara talks to the villagers and asks them to provide protection to the humans she saved.
"Look, even demons can show their kindness" Lara said as she looked at the demon with a grateful look.
"Not everyone can be categorized as good or bad" the demon said. "It all depends on the situation and circumstances."
Lara fell silent, she never thought that there was a good demon. The dialogue opened his eyes and led him to learn that not everything should be categorized in black or white.
"Thank you for helping me and the other humans" Lara said, bowing.
The demon smiled and left without saying much. Lara stared at the demon's departure and felt shocked at what had just happened. He never thought that there would be good demons, but now he knew that everything could change and nothing was certain in life.
