Chapter 10: Attacks From Humans
#Mass assault
The region that became the location of the portal connecting the demon and human worlds was located at the very far border of the two worlds. An area the size of a football field stretches wide and in the middle is a large gate that continues to open, allowing creatures from both worlds to enter and exit. The surrounding scenery is high and very steep mountains, with some hard-to-go hiking trails. Heavy rain often falls and makes slippery paths and slippery rocks. This region in the demon world was in a vast field as well and was protected by the bodyguard troops of the demon world who were always on standby to protect the gates and prevent attacks from the human world.
The Demon King general went to the human world to do his weekly inspection but how surprised he was because not far from the gate it seemed that a very large army of humans were on standby. The Demon King general looked confused and was astonished by this. He did not understand why humans had just decided to invade the demon world right now. He thought, maybe they have known of a weakness in the demon world that they could exploit.
The Demon King general walked around and noticed the human troops that were already preparing near the border. He noticed how they prepared the troops very thoroughly and prepared to attack.
"What the hell is going on here?" muttered the General's subordinate to himself.
He decided to report this to the Demon King. He knew that the Demon King must have the answer to this problem and could decide on the right course of action to protect the demon world.
Immediately, he dashed towards the Demon King's castle and brought news of the threat of attack from the human world. After arriving at the castle, he immediately told what he had seen and heard to the Demon King.
The Demon King watched closely the reports of his subordinates. He was worried about the situation and decided to immediately send troops to protect the border.
"Thank you for your report. We must take immediate action to keep the demon world safe" the Demon King said.
Quickly, he ordered his subordinates to prepare an army and lead them towards the border. He also ordered the soldiers to prepare themselves and be ready for human attack.
"I don't think they're quick to respond in this matter" the Demon King muttered
Leon arrives and speaks, "have man prepared his army?" ask Leon
"Yes, I just got the report" the Demon King replied looking at Leon
"I'll be in the front row and face them, please take care of Miya, but never dare you touch her" Leon said
"Yes I'll take care of him, and I won't touch him, you take it easy. Whatever happens we must not let Miya be captured by them" the Demon King said
With his flying magic, Leon went to the border gate with the Demon King General and brought several hundred ready demon troops.
Lara looked towards the human army that stood so upright and gallant in front of the portal between the demon and human worlds. His face paled upon seeing so many human warriors ready for battle.
"Humans are preparing an army to invade our world," the demon replied with an agitated face. "The Demon King is trying to overcome this situation."
Lara shook her head, not understanding why humans should do something like this. "There is no peaceful solution? What can we do?" ask the devil.
"There will soon be a meeting between the demon lord and the human representative" the demon replied. "Hopefully they can find a good solution for both sides."
Lara hoped the same. He looked around, figuring out what he could do to help cope with the situation. However, he realized that this was not his duty and he had to let the demon lord and the other leaders overcome this problem.
"What about my brother Miya's situation if the demon world is about to become a battlefield?" lara asked herself Lara was worried about her brother's situation and thought of a plan to infiltrate among the human army and go to the Demon King's castle in search of her brother.
#Are you really a hero?
Leon stood in front of an enormous army of humans. He held his sword firmly, ready to fight them.
"Leon, you should be on our side. What are you doing with the devil?" shouted one of the human soldiers.
Leon looked at the soldier with a determined look. "I'm only walking on justice that I believe in" Leon replied.
"You traitor!!, you better die!" shouted one of the soldiers
The human warrior considers Leon a traitor and unleashes a powerful magic attack. Leon countered the attack with a swift motion, dodging the attack and replying with a deadly sword blow.
"You don't know what you're fighting, soldier. I am a hero and it is impossible to be defeated by a croco like you" Leon said in a stern voice.
Several other soldiers decide to join forces and attack Leon together. However, Leon was too powerful for them. He kept his position and hit them one by one.
"Leon, why do you have to fight us? We are all human. Why are you with the devil?" ask one of the wounded soldiers.
Leon stood up and looked at the soldier softly. "I only defend the justice I believe in" Leon replied.
