Run Z's
Section 05. Momentary Discussion

There was only silence filling the art space. There was no sound, other than Kaira who snored softly. The three people were both immersed in their own thoughts. It's too late to wonder why everything could have happened like this. I think they are dreaming right now. Nightmares are more accurate.

It is strange to say that they are afraid. Very scared even. They were just ordinary teenagers undergoing their final year at this school. To leave memorable memories with pleasure, not with this kind of misery. That should be filled with a smile, not a face of fear. If none of this happened, they might come home tired from enjoying the school festival. Instead of being exhausted from running around to survive in the midst of a spreading outbreak. There are too many questions and bad thoughts about the situation out there.

Cathleen who was tired of all the bad predictions on her head, chose to immerse her face on the folds of her hand. He was tired of thinking about what to do with a condition that felt impossible to be real, but reality seemed to slap him. He was tired, upset, sad, and confused. All mixed into one. And all the worse, when he remembered that the phone addressed to someone never got a reply. Many bad predictions filled his head, he tried not to think too much about all this. But, the voices out there made him unable to stop himself from thinking the no-no.

Is there no hope for them to get out of here safe ?

Are there no survivors besides the four of them ? Has everything changed ? There really is nothing left ?

Is he (who is waiting to give news) also safe like him ? Or even turned into-

Ah no, Cathleen was trying to erase the last bad thought. That can't happen. And he hopes that fate will grant what he expects. Leave at least 1 hope for him as an excuse to survive. Cathleen pleaded very silently.

Alena who was also deep in thought, circulated her gaze around the art room where they had taken refuge. He walked towards the window that was close to the door that was held back by the table arrangement, the result of Kaira's actions earlier this afternoon. He flicked away the curtain they had drawn to cover the window.

Brak !

"Satan ! Uh babinye !" alena was spontaneous, shocked when a zombie smashed her blood-soaked face into the window. He held his chest that was pounding. Trying to eliminate the thoughts filled with the shadow of the zombie covered in blood. After calming down, he pulled back the curtain. To monitor the situation out there.

He clucked in annoyance at the sight of those rotten creatures filling the hallway of the art room. He thought whether the infected students, were too stupid to realize the dangerous situation before them. To the extent that they did not save themselves and ended up being the undead. Shit, they have no hope of getting out like this. Too many are wandering around and Alena is quite aware that the four of them only end up killing themselves if reckless to get out. Soon he closed the curtain as the zombies realized that he was peeking out. They moved wildly towards the door trying to break down. The noise of snapping and growling instantly filled the room.

Alena fell on the floor, hugged her knees tightly, then buried her face there. I want to cry, but it won't change anything. They still end up stuck here. I don't know until when.

Sena who saw that walked over to her best friend. Kneeling next to Alena then stroked her back as a gesture to encourage her friend. He's not much different either. The four of them were both desperate at this moment. Maybe only Kaira can still calm down a bit here. Oh, as Cathleen said, the girl who was not clear of her origin was already not straight brain, she even admitted it herself. It was strange that his best friend.

The daydream was up when Alena opened her voice, "why did my dream come true anyway" she was upset.

Sena who heard that frowned in wonder. He sat himself down next to Alena, then asked, "you mean our imagination when we play at Cathleen's house ?"

Alena nodded slowly. He lifted his head, then placed his chin on the folds of his feet. "Today I had a nightmare. I dreamt that we were experiencing all this. Exactly the same as now, starting from the festival, the chase even to the car accident that we experience. Maybe some parts are not happening right now. Either that happens or it won't happen. But, still it all feels annoying to remember now" Alena told me at length.

Sena scratched her head in confusion. "It's weird that I said we had the same dream ? Is it because the laughter after watching the series yesterday yes, so it becomes a dream."

Alena poked her shoulders softly, "maybe. I don't remember very clearly. Even at the end of the day I don't remember, all I remember is the collision and it's all dark."

Cathleen who heard that all instantly raised her head, unlucky their dreams are the same. I don't know about Kaira. He was too forgetful of the person, maybe he had the same dream or maybe not. But, Cathleen could deduce 1 possibility. It seemed like they were indirectly getting a prediction of the future that was about to happen. There is no valid evidence that can justify it, but Cathleen is quite confident. He did not join the roar just listening to the conversation of the love duo Khalila and Guinevere.

"Our situation is like in a movie. Trapped in an art room with a raucous group of zombies out there. What do you think causes this virus to spread ? Is it like in the series yesterday, because it was bitten by a rat ?" Sena asked random.

"I'm not sure. You just think how in an elite school there's a rat, you're a base !" Alena retorted, she dealt a playful blow towards her best friend.

Sena shrugged indifferently then chuckled softly. "Who knows. How did the virus start ?"

"I told you, it's really the "rat", but we're the experimental rats" it's not Alena or Cathleen who gave the answer. But, from someone who is resting themselves, on 3 chairs lined with each other. Kaira was the one who cursed earlier.

Cathleen looked towards him. Staring with a puffed up bead. "Aren't you sleeping ?"

Kaira stretched her hands for a moment, before folding them towards the back and making a head pillow. "If you forget, I always sleep half-conscious if outside the house. I can still hear your conversation by the way. I couldn't help but answer Sena's question. I think our situation is the same as yesterday's series. It all started with a mouse. But in our case, we're the experimental rats" he explains at length in a smart-ass tone.

Spontaneous alone his three friends snorted simultaneously. Then say the same thing. "It's weird that you !"

Cathleen ignored what Kaira said. He played the phone he was holding while it dissolved in his mind. Before long she opened her voice, asking her three friends. "What do you think we should do now ?"

"Sleeping the way" Kaira answered again. He returned to find a comfortable position to sleep in.

Alena who heard that clucked. "Sleep your mousy work.*****" he mocked.

(******\= Nempel molasses)

"No crap Kai ? Bobok mulu you" Sena added.

Kaira rolled her eyes lazily. "Well, what do you want ? Want to get out in a tired state ? Especially now that it's a gini malem, dare to run dark-eight out there ? Mending you rest first. Just wait tomorrow, after all the parents of the students here are not likely to be crushed when they realize their children do not come home. If tomorrow morning the help has not arrived, then we think it should be how. After all, there's no way we can continue to survive here" Kaira replied at length with a slightly taut tone.

The three friends did not give a rebuttal, however this time what Kaira said was still logical. The old man will not be silent, if he realizes his children have not come home this late. They'll definitely come here and be able to provide assistance. Maybe there is no harm in resting for a while while waiting for the dawn in the deflected day. Their bodies are also tired at this time. There was no food they had. Drinks may exist, as Kaira's bacon bottle is still fully stocked, and the four of them agree to drink it little by little just in case.

"Hopefully tomorrow we can get out of here. The smell of his blood was rotten once ewh" Sena commented.

"I hope so. I'm getting really hungry now" Kaira complained. "Where my food was falling because of playing zombie chases. My precious food huhuhu" he said sadly.

"What a tragic story. The food lover must be separated from his beloved food, because of the zombies that are chasing" Alena said in a mocking tone. Indeed, this Guinevere guy really likes to blaspheme Kaira.

"Yeah ! You don't know how much I lost to that zombie ! My food had ended up falling tragically and my money was drifting with futility. Ouch ! even though money will not end in vain, if I can eat food then my digestion process it into energy for me and unused waste into my feces. Aish said that, I want to poop now. My stomach why the sudden mules yes" said Kaira who ended the complaint slowly while holding her stomach that issued a boisterous sound.

"Don't be weird Kai. Where do you want to find a bathroom ? There's no bathroom here tau !" Sena shook her head in disbelief at Kaira's complaint.

"Huhwhy there are zombies anyway. This should be my time to save money. Aish it's hard for me to defecate later !" he again complained now with his feet stomping slowly. Like a child who is sulking.

Alena looked disgustedly at her friend. "Idih, the congor is under arrest huh. You can talk about the fight here !"

"Yes gimanain. The reality is that ! That's what human beings know ! Why should I be disgusted ?!" Kaira said she did not accept.

Cathleen only listened to the debate. Joselyn's girl is more silent at the moment. Worries still enveloped him. Honestly he can't calm down right now, wanting to feel like going out to make sure. But, what Kaira said was true. It would all be in vain let alone the night began to greet them. Outside it must be dark at all, it would be like a suicide attempt if reckless. He had no choice but to wait for the next morning. May time pass quickly. That was his hope before slapping his head on the table.

They ended up sleeping inside the art room. With Cathleen's position not moving, still on her wheelchair facing a table. He put his head on the fold of his hand. Resting the head that feels heavy is not playing it. Too many thoughts mixed up there.

While Kaira, Helda's girl never moved from her position since the beginning of entering the art room. He fell asleep with a sitting position leaning and his hands folded in front of the chest on a chair with legs stretched over 2 chairs lined up. Half his legs were covered by his school coat. His head sometimes moves forward or backward during sleep. Signs that he is drifting in his dreams.

Then, there was the love duo of Khalila and Guinevere who fell asleep under Kaira. More precisely they sat with their legs stretched straight and their backs leaning against the chair where Kaira was. Sometimes their heads hit each other. And both of them quietly complained, before returning to justify the position and falling asleep again.

The four of them both slept in a state of discomfort. But, the fatigue they experienced overcame that discomfort. And they ended up falling asleep in the middle of a chaotic school atmosphere.
