Ranums

Ranums
PRISON CHIEF

The bodies of members of David John's group along with the two warden's bodies have been cleared from the prison field. Starting at night, the clock has shown at 19:45 local time. The prisoners are already inside the prison building. But not for Ranum, he was still dealing with the jailer.

“Then what do you want this time?” Ranum asked the prison chief.

The prison head shakes. “I don't want what – what. Just stop making a fuss in this prison. Not a week you are in this prison, but there have been 32 of your victims. 31 killed, 1 warden almost died.”

Ranum shrugged his shoulders.

“I'm not like the warden who originally blackmailed or beat you up. But if it's needed, I'll be happy to do it.” The prison chief looked at Ranum sharply. “You better go to the clinic. Blood – your blood starts to dry.” The warden's head.

Ranum stood up from the chair.turn right, out of the jailer's room.

“Remember one more time you make trouble in this prison, I will face you.” The prison chief exclaimed.

Uncompleted the jailer spoke, Ranum was already out of the room. He didn't care about the prison chief. Ranum's headed for the clinic. When entering the clinic, seen doctor Lesley stood her hands crossed in the chest, staring at Ranum upset. Ranum looked back at doctor Lesley with a confused face, standing at the door.

“You why always look for trouble?” Doctor Lesley spoke with an annoyed face.

“The head of the prison sent me here.”

“Iya it's definitely Mark.” Doctor Lesley exclaimed. “Why can't you stop looking for trouble? The longer your body can be destroyed because it cannot withstand the wounds – wounds you receive. One wound has not healed there is a new wound, a new wound has not been treated, there are more recent wounds. What do you want Mark?” Doctor Lesley looked at Ranum annoyed.

Ranum shrugged his shoulders. “So, can I treat now?”

Doctor Lesley sighed. “Sit.”

Ranum nodded, stepping towards the patient seat. Doctor Lesley went to the door, locked the clinic door, kept the key in his pants pocket.

“What do you do?”

“Let you not run away again. Enough problems you caused.” Doctor Lesley replied.

“I don't want to be in the room with that human.” Ranum pointed at Alonso who was lying on the clinic table. Alonso still turned his back on Ranum and Lesley's doctor. Afraid to look at Ranum.

“I can't let you roam with that wound – wound.”

Ranum decided to give up. Doctor Lesley told Ranum to take a bath first in the clinic toilet, he asked the warden to bring a change of clothes for Ranum. After 15 minutes passed, Ranum finally finished his bath. Doctor Lesley began examining and treating – wounds on Ranum's body, including treating Ranum's broken nose.

“Why is a new kid like you so brave to mess up the contents of the prison?” Doctor Lesley asked Ranum.

Ranum. “I don't know.” Ranum replied briefly.

“Then why are you always looking for trouble with other prisoners?” Doctor Lesley asked again.

Ranum just silently stared at the clinic door.

“You know not, although they are prisoners, they are also human, have a family. Same as you.” Doctor Lesley.

Ranum was surprised to hear the words of doctor Lesley. Ranum stared at the doctor's face in – deep. Doctor Lesley smiled, returning Ranum's gaze.

“Actually I don't want to bring up your past. But you remember not. How do you feel when the person you love the most is taken away by someone else?” Hand doctor Lesley nimble treat Ranum's nose. “If you remember, more or less that's how their family feels.” Doctor Lesley smiled.

Ranum just quietly listened to the word – said doctor Lesley.

“Oh yes, it's on the table there's little food. If you are hungry, please eat it. Also so that you can immediately take your medicine.”

Ranum nodded.

“You should be here for a few days. I'll keep an eye on you.”

“How about you?” Ranum asked.

“With me? You mean how?” Doctor Lesley did not understand what Ranum meant.

Ranum chews his bread. “You're going home tonight? Or how?”

“I'll accompany you here.”

“There is only one patient bed. It was also worn by that person.” Ranum pointed at Alonso.

“I can ask the warden to bring you an extra mattress from the treatment room.”

Ranum quickly finished the bread in his hands “Open that door.” Ranum continued to speak while chewing bread.

“Where are you going?”

“Open it.” Ranum approached Alonso. Then lifted the fat body of Alonso, carrying the old man out of the clinic. Ranum gives Alonso to the warden, Ranum leaves Alonso with the warden, then returns to the clinic.

“Now you can sleep on that bed. If I were you, I'd clean that mattress first.” Ranum spoke flatly.

“Then you?”

“I can sleep in that chair. Or anywhere as I wish.” Ranum took his medicine at a small table near the patient's seat.

“Why did you take out Mr Alonso?”

“I just don't like having him here.” Ranum replied briefly. Ranum sat in the patient's chair, then closed his eyes. Doctor Lesley sits on the patient's bed. The room was quiet for a moment.

“Mark, can I ask you something?” Doctor Lesley asked.

“As long as you don't expect a good answer, please.” Ranum closed his eyes.

“Do you live happily with Miranda? Do you believe that life partner is true – really exists? Are you right – really love Miranda? Have you ever regretted having Miranda?” Doctor Lesley looked at Ranum's back. “I'm sorry if my question is too much.” Doctor Lesley.

Ranum laughed a little. “I'm very happy living with Miranda. About the life partner, I don't think there is. Someone must have gone first, gone somewhere, which surely one would have gone first. Third, I love Miranda so much, she's my first love, I've never felt such a deep love for a woman. And I haven't regretted a second of living with Miranda, I think she's the one who regretted accepting me as her husband.” Ranum laughed again. “For what popular doctor like you ask questions – questions like that?”

“Six months ago, my fiancee left me.” Doctor Lesley looked down, staring at the clinic floor. “I found out she was dating another woman. In a month we will be getting married soon. At first I tried to keep my heart open, I told my fiancee to choose between me or the woman she was dating at the time. But unfortunately he prefers that woman over me.”

Ranum turned his body to face doctor Lesley. “You should be grateful. What if you find him cheating when you're married? Will you stick with a guy like that? I know it's hard to be in love. Would you sacrifice yourself for such love? There are so many good men out there who deserve more love than you. I know it's not easy to forget someone we love so much. But what's the name of love if one of them gets hurt? I am not a love expert. But at least I can confirm that your relationship is not the true meaning of love.” Ranum stretched his body, staring at the sky – sky clinic. “Trust that someday good love will meet you. That love will be very pure and sincere just for you.”

Doctor Lesley was surprised by Ranum's words, she looked at Ranum who was in the patient's seat.

“If you are currently 22 years old, then you are negi-“

“18 or 19 years.” Ranum cutting. “Everyone was also surprised by it.” Ranum smilingly staring at sky – sky.

“How can you be so sure to marry someone?”

“So please, I don't think such a thing needs a reason. I just feel sure. Or maybe I was too confident at the time.” Ranum laughed a little.

Doctor Lesley smiled looking at Ranum. “I'm sure Miranda never regretted accepting you as her husband. She must be very lucky to have been your wife.”

“No woman will feel lucky to have married a criminal.” Ranum laughed a little.

They continued to chat – small talk, occasionally breaking laughter in the room. Until finally they are tired and fall asleep in each place – each.
