A woman sits pensively on the edge of the bed with her head lowered. He seemed to be thinking of something that was so disturbing to his mood.
The sound of the door opening did not make him change his position in the least. He did not even know if there was someone who was now sitting by his side.
"Alright, Alena. Just forget him. He's someone else's husband now."
"He's not a person, Cath. He's my cousin" Alena. "Even I still didn't expect Glen to cheat on her."
"You should be grateful, Alena. God has shown Glen's true nature before it's too late. Now you have a chance to find a much better man than him."
Catherine immediately pursed her lips as soon as Alena threw a sharp glare at him. He felt that what he said was right, but it might not be taken for granted by Alena.
"I hope you really never feel in love, Cath," said Alena.
"I hope so too, Alena. Although I've never felt it, but I've learned a lot from you, if love only makes us hurt. There's no happiness in it."
"Then why are you talking as if you understand love?"
"I don't even understand. I just feel sorry for you, Alena."
"I refuse to be pityed. Go, I'm on my own, Cath."
"I won't leave you alone, Alena. I don't want you to spend your day crying over a man who's already impregnated your own cousin."
"Don't say that in front of me if you still love your mouth."
Catherine reflexes holding her mouth.
"Go, I want to be alone. Meet me tomorrow or the day after. After my mood improves. If it's next week."
"Ah, okay. I hope I can still hear your voice tomorrow, Alena."
Again Catherine got a sharp glint from her best friend.
"What do you mean?"
"It's nothing, I'm just afraid you're going to commit suicide just because you lost a traitor."
"Glen is everything to me."
Catherine was leaving Alena's room. At first he intended to entertain his best friend, but Alena instead drove him away because he wanted to be alone. Maybe Alena does need some space to reflect.
Alena laid her body with a small stomp so that her body slightly wrapped with both hands stretched but her legs remained down the floor. He stared at the light of the lamp that was directly above his head. Both eyes closed as soon as he felt pain due to the light of the lamp that felt piercing the cornea of the eye. But there is something more painful than that. As soon as he witnesses his cousin who is married to his own lover. It was so heart-piercing.

The next day, Alena decided not to go to work today. Even though he comes from a family that is well known to many people, he still wants to work in his own way without the intervention of his family. He does not want to be stamped as a person who enjoys his family's possessions.
"I guess today I'll get some bad news about you. Thank goodness you still have the passion to work" said the woman who welcomed her arrival in the office cubicle.
"You think I'm gonna kill myself for real?" hiss Alena while pulling her chair.
"It's more like that after you say that Glen's everything to you."
Alena no longer responded to Catherine's remarks, she turned on the computer to start work. However, his spirit immediately faded when he saw the main display screen of the computer.
"I think from today on you should throw away all the memories of Glen. I don't want you to kill yourself for real."
"I'm not asking for your opinion. So hush. Or I'll rip your mouth out, Cath!"
Accomplished so, Catherine finally fell silent. He refocused on the computer screen in his cubicle adjacent to Alena. While Alena could only exhale a slightly rough breath. It seemed like he had to start the work today by erasing all the memories he had with Glen.
"Today Mr. Glen will come to meet with us."
"Didn't he just get married?"
"Yes, but Mr. Glen didn't take time off after marriage because he thought this meeting was much more important."
Mr. Haxel's conversation with his secretary instantly drew Alena's attention. He looked towards the departure of Mr. Haxel and his secretary who were far away.
The words of Haxel's secretary just now made Alena create a lot of speculation.
"The meeting is much more important?" inner Alena.
