Ch 49: Battle Against the Semi-Transformed Gaara State

Seeing Temari being shot by a water spear, Sakura felt relieved.

Yarinami was the result of his special training with Sanada. But there is a catch.

Sakura can only use Yarinami with the help of Lapras and even then, Yarinami Sakura's power is still far from the original Yarinami that Sanada showed her.

If Yarinami Sanada can be considered an Upper B-Rank Ninjutsu, then Sakura would be considered almost a B-Rank.

Sakura spent a few seconds taking a deep breath before she rushed towards Sasuke to support him.

On Sasuke's side, the Semi-Transformed Gaara has revealed himself to be much stronger than what Sasuke can handle at the moment.

It wasn't as bad as in the original plot, but even after a few minutes of fighting, Sasuke still couldn't benefit from Gaara, which left him a little frustrated.

THE CLANGG!!!!

Once again, Sasuke's flaming sword clashed with Gaara's half-turned arm.

It is true that Gaara's strength far exceeded Sasuke's, but since Sasuke was able to close the distance using his Hinokami Kagura technique, the distance between the two had been shortened slightly.

"BRAHHH!!!"

Gaara increased his speed as his giant arm was ready to rip apart Sasuke's body.

But then..

"Hinokami Kagura: A False Rainbow!"

Sasuke's body turned into a shadow as he appeared right behind Gaara.

Sasuke managed to hurt Gaara. He was able to use the False Rainbow in time to dodge Gaara's attack to then quickly launch a slash into Gaara's body.

Gaara's defense was still too strong to end with just one strike.

While Gaara was injured, Sasuke used this opportunity to widen the distance between them as he needed to take a breath.

"Aha.. ahahahahahaha!!!"

A terrifying sound of laughter began to ring as it filled their surroundings.

Sasuke doesn't know why, but he gets a bad feeling about this.

He locked his gaze on Gaara and discovered that the other party was now starting to change once again.

"More.. I want more!!!"

In an instant, a huge sand tail grew behind Gaara as he began to look even more like a monster.

"I'm coming!"

With a speed unmatched before, Gaara suddenly flashed right in front of Sasuke.

"Hurry!!!"

Sasuke could barely react even with his active Sharingan.

He dodged Gaara a little by jumping high into the air. Fortunately the one month training with Sanada had trained his reflexes to a very high level.

'If it's going to continue like this, I don't think I'll last long.'

"Hinokami Kagura: Bright Blue Sky!"

Sasuke slashed down as his body gave a 360° slash right towards Gaara.

Gaara tried to hold him back with his sand arm but Sasuke's slash strength was still able to break Gaara's defenses and reach his skin.

BOOM!!!!

His body was bleeding, but Gaara's face showed a maniacal grin.

ROARR!!!

The sand around Gaara fused as he sent a large amount of sand bullets towards Sasuke.

Sasuke was ready to dodge them, but he heard a voice coming from behind.

"Yarinami!!!"

The water spears were thrown towards the sand bullets and they ended up cancelling each other out. A figure then appeared from behind and arrived right next to Sasuke.

It was none other than Sakura.

After dealing with Temari, he quickly rushed here to help Sasuke.

"You okay, Sasuke?" Sakura asked which only Sasuke answered with a nod.

For this girl and Sanada's first student, Sasuke always had a hint of envy in his heart. If all the efforts Sanada made to take care of her were directed at her, then Sasuke was sure that he would have no trouble handling Gaara now.

Nevertheless, Sasuke also felt relieved when he saw Sakura coming. He knows Sakura's strength and it's not an exaggeration if he says that he's sure the two of them can handle Gaara if they work together.

Sasuke was about to say something, but Sakura held him back.

"Let's go. We need to get this over with before he changes again..."

Both Sasuke and Sakura looked at Gaara, their eyes twinkling.

Sakura immediately gathered water vapor in her hands as she threw some Uchimizu towards Gaara.

Clangs! Clangs!

Gaara repelled Uchimizu easily with his sand hands while continuing to move towards the two.

However, Gaara suddenly felt a trace of danger behind him and as he reacted he saw Sasuke no longer where he had stood before.

He turned his head and saw Sasuke's sword pointing towards his neck.

Swish!!!

Gaara was able to dodge his sword by tilting his body, but the enemy's attack was far from over.

Sakura, taking the opportunity, immediately arrived behind Gaara while clenching her fists in the basic position of the Fish-Man Karate.

"Karakusagawara!!!"

Gaara immediately sensed the danger of Sakura's attack. If he is very confident in playing around against Sasuke before, adding Sakura to the equation of confidence is down.

The fight became much more difficult for Gaara and after several exchanges, Gaara had been cornered.

Karakusagawara's massive shock wave Seiken Sakura drops Gaara onto a large tree as he fails to react in time to Sakura's attack.

GRAAA!!!!

Gaara, who was beaten by the combined attacks of the two, became even more furious.

He used his changing arms and tail to launch waves to attack. However Sakura and Sasuke avoid them easily.

THE EXPLOSION!!! BOOM!! BOOM!!

Flashing to the left and to the right, Sasuke and Sakura easily passed through the strange attacks of Gaara's sand arms together.

Sasuke used his flaming sword to cut off Gaara's arms and tail while Sakura delivered another full-strength punch right in Gaara's abdomen.
