The Forest of Death -
Several minutes had passed since the beginning of the Second Stage Chunin Examination.
Hibachi, Ami, and Sakura were currently standing on the edge of the Deathly Forest, discussing what plan they should take for now.
"So, any plans, guys?" Sakura asked the two.
Not surprisingly to him, the two shook their heads helplessly.
But then, Hibachi took out a storage scroll from his pocket, and somehow intrigued the two girls.
"Pulse.. Sanada-sensei that we should open this after we get into the second stage. However, I really don't know what this is."
Hibachi then proceeded to do as Sanada told him. He lifted the seal on the storage scroll and opened the items stored inside.
Poof!!!
A huge smoke appeared the moment it opened.
But when the three of them saw what was in front of them, they felt like they were being played with by Sanada.
(Sanada-sensei. this is too much, right.) The three disciples thought in their hearts.
In front of them there is currently a camping package complete with tents, bbq, even some emergency food in the form of bacon and rations.
If the other Candidates saw this, they would definitely ask the three of them whether they would take the exam or go on a picnic.
Nonetheless, this makes survival problems almost non-existent for them. Now all they needed to do was find a weaker team and rob the scroll from them.
Hibachi, who was still speechless, was about to seal the items back into the storage scroll. But then, he found something slipping near the tent.
'Hm.. what is this..'
Under his curiosity, he took the thing into his hands, but what he saw was something that never even went through his wildest dreams.
' Chunin Test Guidebook second stage, by Sanada-Sensei. (With 100 lullabies to help you sleep at night).'
"...."
' What the hell is this!!!!' Hibachi wanted to shout in his heart.
Specific guidelines for the second stage exam? Isn't this cheating, Sanada-Sensei? What the hell is that lullaby? Do you think this is a school trip?
It took a few seconds for Hibachi to calm down. At least, for their own good, he tried to convince himself.
Hibachi then proceeded to open the pages of the guidebook specially prepared by Sanada-Sensei.
The manual actually contained almost all of the knowledge Sanada had about the Deathly Forest.
From its basic topology, wildlife, and also its dangers.
There was also some basic information about some of the participants of the Second Stage Chunin Examination, from the most dangerous to the harmless. But the thing that caught Hibachi's attention the most were the two "Don't Approach" labels in the book. Gaara of the Sand, and the Genin team from Hidden Grass Village (Kusagakure).
. . .
. . .
Although they had all the means to survive at night, they still wanted to at least reduce the distance between them and the tower.
"Are you ready, Hibachi?" Sakura and Ami were waiting from the side.
"Yup, everything's fine and ready to go!" Hibachi said cheerfully. He had read all the important information Sanada highlighted in the book, and now his confidence was as high as ever.
The three nodded at each other and started moving.
After training with Sanada, the chakra control of the three could be said to be quite extraordinary. They moved from tree to tree without wasting any movement.
And just after a few minutes, the three had crossed a distance of several kilometers.
With their current speed, it would not be difficult for the three to reach the tower before the end of the day, but all of a sudden...
" Stop!!" Sakura yells.
Hibachi and Ami were a little surprised, but they still followed Sakura's orders.
At this moment, a few kunai passed by the tree in front of them.
*Swoosh*
" It's a trap..."
"Yes, but unfortunately, the person who set this trap is not a professional." Sakura breathed a sigh of relief.
The reason he was able to find the trap was because the other party had failed to cover their tracks completely and it made Sakura be able to realize the oddity around her.
Sakura turned in a certain direction as her gaze turned to the top of the tree.
The three Hidden Rain Shinobi (Amegakure) looked back at them, and from their eyes, Sakura could see that the other party had no good intentions.
The three Amegakure Genin looked at the team consisting of two girls who looked weak and sneered. "Leave your scroll here, and we'll give face to Konoha for not being cruel."
The tone of the other party was quite arrogant, and this made Hibachi a little annoyed.
He was about to go and face the three, but a hand stopped him.
"Stop Hibachi, don't let anger get into your head!"
But at this moment, Hibachi's response was so indifferent that Sakura let her guard down.
"I'm not Sakura. Don't worry, I just want to show that you can trust us with your back for this exam."
Before Sakura could say anything, Hibachi disappeared from her place.
He reappeared behind one of the Amegakure Genins as he spoke in a cold voice.
"Being merciless? You are not worthy!"
