Sam was still staring at Jesika's departure until the car disappeared. Dilla who saw it became pity the same. Sam is still a kid who needs extra attention.
"Sam is coming with Auntie, yes" said Dilla.
Sam looked at Dilla for a moment, then he threw away his face. Sam passed himself into the school building.
"The child of the same mother is equally, equally arrogant," said Jelita.
"Bak, don't be so much like a child. Maybe it was the effect of the condition of his mother. Mbak see for himself how his mother who does not care about Sam," martial Dilla.
"That's the same as Dilla. Yes, if the fruit does not fall far from the tree. How parents are like their children. Well unless the tree grows on the top of the mountain and the fruit rolls," said Jelita.
"It's already Ma'am. Now we go in, Reza and Rafa can be late" said Dilla.
"Let's go in, Reza and Rafa come on," Jelita asked excitedly.
Reza and Rafa had met some other new students while waiting for Dilla and Jelita to talk to Jesika. They immediately grabbed the hands of Jelita and Dilla. The four of them entered the classroom that they would occupy later.
Many other students have come to be accompanied by their parents. The mothers who have already come first have started a habit if they have gathered, namely huddle.
Reza, Rafa and Sam are in the same class. So that they also gather in the same room.
"Mom-sisters and sisters, introduce you as the 1Ath grade homeroom teacher. Today is our first day of school."
"Now we will vote for a seat. We'll shuffle the numbers to choose a seat to be fair" the homeroom teacher said.
"Now let's all come closer and take the number. Don't beat it, everything's gonna get."
After getting their numbers back to their respective parents and handing them over to their parents to see the seat number.
"Rafa sat in the front row. What about Reza?" ask Jelita.
"Reza sits in the back corner" said Dilla.
Reza immediately frowned when she found out she was sitting in the corner. Reza prefers to sit in the front row rather than the back.
"Reza is okay sitting in the back. This is fair, everything is raffled," persuaded Dilla when she saw the look on Reza's face that was no longer excited.
"But Reza wants to sit in front of Ma. Sitting in front is better" Reza said.
"Yes Mama knows, but this has been arranged by the same homeroom teacher. We can't be like that. Everybody on that seat, let's go sit down," said Dilla.
"Yes Ma" replied Reza.
"Come on everyone, now sit in their respective seats according to their numbers."
With Reza's slow steps to his seat. Rafa had been sitting in the front seat.
When Reza wanted to sit in his chair, suddenly Sam came and pushed Reza hard. The unprepared Reza immediately fell. Dilla is shocked when Sam pushes Reza. Dilla immediately approached Reza and built Reza to stand back up.
"Darling you're okay, right?" ask Dilla worried.
Dilla examined Reza's entire body so no one was hurt. Sam immediately sat down where Reza was supposed to be.
"Sam mustn't be so much of a friend himself," the homeroom teacher rebuked.
Sam was silent, he threw his face away and looked outside. Sam ignored the homeroom.
"Who is Sam's guardian?" ask the class guardians to the students.
The mothers began whispering asking who Sam's parents were.
"Sorry Mom, but the guardian has gone home" replied Jelita.
"Why you go home, there should be a guardian who accompanies students on the first day" said the homeroom teacher.
"Already Mom, it's okay. Lagian Reza is fine too. Is that right, baby?" dilla said she would not prolong the problem.
Reza nodded his head.
"Yes if you don't want to bother about this. Sam next time can't be like that huh," the homeroom teacher warned.
"Now where's Sam's bench number?" ask the homeroom class.
Sam remains silent, as Sam is silent the homeroom mother sees where there is an empty one. It turned out that the empty seat was next to Rafa.
Reza nodded his head and immediately sat down on Sam's ration seat.
"Everything. Now we're going to go in on a self-introduction session."
The introductory session stage between the new students begins. All students enthusiastically introduce themselves even though some are shy. But on Sam's turn, Sam didn't speak a word. The homeroom teacher could only sigh at Sam's attitude.
After the introductory event, the homeroom asked the students to get to know each other so that they could make good friends. Reza and Rafa can quickly blend in with the others and there are even girls who are scrambling to get acquainted with Reza. They greet each other except Sam.
"Look at that little boy was already arrogant."
"Yes, her behavior wasn't good either. It must have been his parents' upbringing."
Whisper of mothers.
Jelita and Dilla only heard the whisper. They knew Sam would hear it too. Dilla tries to get close to Sam because she pityes Sam who does not blend in with the others.
"Sam," call Dilla soft.
Sam looked at Dilla.
"Why doesn't Sam want to meet another friend" asked Dilla while trying to stroke Sam's hair.
Sam just stared silently at Dilla who stroked her hair. Then Sam looked towards the other friends. Sam just shook his head slowly.
"Why? though later Sam can get a lot of friends," continued Dilla.
"...."
"Mama," call Reza.
Sam wants to answer but hearing Reza's voice, Sam goes silent again. Reza deliberately approached Dilla who was talking to Sam. Reza doesn't like Dilla to go near Sam. Reza hugs Dilla's possessive legs.
Dilla's hand on Sam's head was immediately removed by Sam. Sam took the school bag and then he went out. Dilla and the others only saw Sam's departure.
"Yes everything. Let's sit on each other's seats back. Soon we will end today's meeting" said the homeroom teacher.
After the event is over the students and guardians are welcome to return. Dilla, Jelita, Reza and Rafa also came home.
"Ma carry," pinta Reza.
Reza deliberately asked Dilla to hold ya because she saw other students who were in the carrying with her parents. Dilla doesn't mind holding Reza.
"Mommy Rafa also wants to be carried like Reza," said Rafa jealous.
Jelita looked towards Dilla and Reza.
"It's not that Mommy won't hold Rafa. But Mommy is not as strong as Mama Rafa, Mommy just holds hands, yes" said Jelita
Rafa pouted hearing Jelita's answer. He also wanted to be carried by Jelita.
"Rafa also wants to be carried," said Rafa slowly.
"Yes, here's Mommy's carrying," said Jelita.
Because she did not have the heart of Rafa, Jelita tried to hold Rafa. Just a few steps they walk, Jelita immediately lowers Rafa again.
"I'm sorry Mommy Rafa, Mommy really can't carry Rafa. Just carrying for a moment Mommy's waist feels like gout," said Jelita while holding the waist that feels pain.
Rafa could not bear to see Jelita in pain and finally he relented. Rafa chose to hold Jelita's hand.
