The Farel POV End

POV Author

Dozens of motorcycles enliven the streets of Jakarta in the morning. Dozens of motorcycles were both headed to Equatorial High School, a famous SMA in Jakarta. The students are from the conglomerate, but not imaginary many middle and lower class students who get scholarships.

Now dozens of motorcycles have been parked neatly in a special parking lot of Equatorial High School. A group of motorcycles became the center of attention, not a few girls who shouted hysterically. Especially when the front 5 men open the helmet and tidy up their messy hair.

"Yes, Brother Farel is so handsome!!!"

"Sister Farel!!! Halalin me dong!!!"

"Farel, so my girlfriend won't?!!"

"Sister Afnan don't stay with me!!!"

"Sir Afnan OMEYGAAT is very handsome!!"

"Sister Joseph did not lose his looks!!"

"Sir Dylan, tonight don't forget?!!!"

"Sister Adam make me Eve dong!!"

There were still many more girls who were hysterically shouting at the five men. While the five men still walked leisurely through the corridor after the school corridor. But unlike the other 2 men who actually spread the charm with shrewdness.

"Emang yes, if the same fate of Farel is delicious. Known as the school saentro," said Dylan still coolly blinking one eye on the class brother.

"Oh my disgust, let me be Eve" commented the man named Adam. The most calm among them.

"Hahahaha, you can. You look for a girl whose name is Eve" Yusuf said with a broken laugh.

"Stupid no one knows," said the quiet words from the lips of Afnan, the cool guy.

"Sir, try tanyain. Must be a lot of girls,"

The man called Mr. Ketu smiled thin and cynical. "Bacot," he answered and widened his steps toward the classroom.

"Oi, wait for napa?!!" shouted Dylan and they followed the chairman who was none other than Alfarel.

"GUY!! I HAVE HOT NEWS!!" yelling a girl into class excitedly makes attention turn to her.

"What's so beautiful?" dylan asked in his teasing style.

The girl, whose name tag was Tata, smiled and sat near the core of the GREXDA gang. "So I heard the teacher talking that there will be a student exchange for one semester. Cool isn't it?!"

"Creable where? It was common for exchange schools to be students" the scathing comment came from Yusuf.

Tata was upset. "That's cool anyway, students from ponpes in Bandung. Crazy isn't it?! Is the boarding school going to school?"

"Where's wrong?" ask Adam.

"They must be ba---"

"Go!" farel said cutting Tata's speech made the entire class go silent stiffly.

"Well, how was he told to leave?" dylan asked in a bold manner.

"Morning should not be gossiped," replied Afnan mediate.

The sound of a call from one's cellphone diverts the attention of the entire class, because the sound of the cellphone is heard loudly because all the creatures are silent. That HP is Farel's possession. Farel saw the caller and without a word stood up and walked out of the classroom.

"Farel Tumben really picked up the phone?" joseph asked, who was answered only by the shoulder force by Adam.

"Assalamu'alaikum" said a man from a phone call to Farel.

"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat. Why Cake?"

"You didn't play to the pesantren. It's been 5 months. Your grandmother was always nanyain. Or is Grandpa the same Grandma who went to Jakarta?" omel Abdullah, Grandpa Farel who lives in Bandung, a well-known ponpes owner in Bandung.

"Sorry, Farel hasn't been staggered. Later if free Farel to Bandung,"

"You said it always was, Gus. But until now there's no coming here,"

"Don't call Gus, Cake,"

Abdullah chuckled at the rejection of his grandson when he was called 'Gus'. "You are Gus. Already before. Grandpa just wanted to say that. Take care of your health there. Assalamu'alaikum,"

"Why Bang?" ask Hutama to the point.

"Abang to Bandung. Same permission Umma,"

"When? How long?"

"Now. 3 days or 7,"

"Yes, be careful. If there's anything call Abah,"

"Yes, assalamu'alaikum" Farel replied and immediately decided his call was one-sided.

Farel returned to his class and immediately carried his bag to surprise all his friends. "Jagain Adek me!" the message.

"Where are you going?"

"Bandung," replied Farel and immediately sauntered away making everything cengo.

"Sir, why go to Bandung? Yakali wants to find a ponpes who will exchange students with our school," Dylan's cerocos who only responded to the wind and made him grunt.

While Farel out of school with the speed of his motorbike above average ignoring the screams of the gatekeeper. Farel's current destination is Bandung. Precisely Ponpes Al-istiqomah, where his Grandpa Grandmother lived and where his Abrah grew up.

After 2 hours longer Farel was on the highway, now his motorbike was in a small village with an archway that read PONPES AL-ISTIQOMAH. Many santriwan and santriwati who passed by, especially now is their break from class hours. Not a few also the santri who bowed respectfully when Gus they passed by.

Motor Farel stopped at a minimalist house that looks neat and clean. It is commonly called ndalem. Without much thought, Farel immediately entered the house.

"Assalamu'alaikum" he said, casually throwing the bag onto the sofa. Soon, 3 girls came to Farel with their heads lowered.

"Wa'alaikumussalam, Gus,"

"grandmother?"

"Umi and Kyai are in the office of the foundation, Gus," replied one of them.

"Save!" farel's order to save the souvenirs he brought from Jakarta. Without a word Farel went straight out to the foundation office following his Grandpa and Grandma.

Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok

The sound of Farel knocking on the door was clearly heard from within. "Lake in!" said someone with a heavy voice let Farel in. Instead of entering, however, Farel kept knocking on her door until a man opened the door for her.

"GOOD?!" bemused.

Farel nodded and casually broke through the man who became one of the foundation's administrators.

"Lohs?! Gus? Want to come here Grandpa didn't know Grandma?" surprised by Grandma, Jamilah when Farel kissed her hand.

"I called him, but I didn't say I wanted to come. Afraid Grandpa Grandma's taking you to Jakarta hm?" said his grandfather, Abdullah.

"If there will be tired," replied Farel and again with leisure sitting in the greatness of the Grandfather as the owner of ponpes.

"Who?" tanya Farel looked at the 2 santriwan and 2 santriwati before him.

"Those who will be representatives for student exchanges at Equatorial High School,"

Farel nodded in understanding. His sharp eyes never separated staring at a santriwan who felt from earlier staring dislike towards him.

"Why?" farel asked the santri.

"Nothing" he replied, still venturing into Farel's sharp eyes.

Farel nodded and picked up the pen that was on the table. Farel closed his eyes with a pen. "Never look me in the eye!" farel said coldly and threw his pen in any direction.

"Lohs?! Wh why? It's wrong of me to look you in the eye,"

Farel smiled thinly and cynically. "Dare to be a man, too" Farel's mind grinned.

"Gather the students of class XI!" farel's orders to no one and then immediately pulled the hands of Grandpa and Grandma gently.

"Patiently Gus! Control your emotions," Jamilah advised in her gentle voice.

"Can't appreciate it" replied Farel.

"He was only 4 months in the Gus pesantren. Understand that you don't know yet. I've never met you,"

Farel. "So if you don't know me yet?" farel's question made Abdullah speechless and only smiled. His grandson this one can indeed make himself consumed by his own words.

"You want Grandma Masakin what's Gus' lunch for?" ask Jamilah when they have arrived in Ndalem.

"Whatever. Farel bawain by dah simpen,"

"Repot-repot all souvenirs,"

Farel shook his head that it was not a hassle. "You take a shower" he said and waltzed off to his room if he stayed at the boarding school.
