Caramel Cafe, 10.00 AM

.

.

The small building in the middle of Seoul looks minimalist but very unique, because of its style filled with sweet caramel nuances. From the outside design it is really seen that the menu will definitely be highlighted from the cafe is made from caramel. Nara stood outside while exhaling in doubt. In his heart kept asking about the purpose a Lee Hyeri wanted to meet him. There was a speck of anxiety in his heart considering his relationship with Hyeri who had been impressed not good. Nara sighed for a moment, and immediately went in there. His eyes scoured deep into the cafe benches that looked full. Until a servant approached him.

“Sorry miss can I help you?” asked the handsome, polite-looking waitress to Nara. Nara did not answer yet, someone's call was clearly heard in her ear. Nara looked at the girl.

Hyeri was smiling as she raised her hand to wave towards Nara. Even from this distance, Nara still saw that the girl was really beautiful. His white face seemed bright. Her eyes looked beautiful and her small lips seemed interested in forming a smile that for whatever sake it looked charming. No other word can describe a Lee Hyeri other than ‘cantik’. Nara again sighed when she realized that at this time, she was praising her husband's ex-lover.

He walked over to the center of the cafe, where Hyeri was standing to greet him. From a short distance away, Nara realized the presence of a man standing next to Hyeri. If you can describe it, according to Nara, the man's face looks very handsome. His body was tall with his shoulders wide. He also had a beautiful smile. Although basically not as sweet as Taehyun's smile, her husband. Nara ********smile on her lips. He returned Hyeri's hand and immediately sat down as the girl invited her to sit down.

“Ah, I'm glad you came Nara. Previously, I thought you wouldn't want to meet me considering our relationship wasn't very good in the past.” Hyeri said with a sweet smile. Nara simply smiled in response to Hyeri's words. A smile that looks good. He looked back at the man beside Hyeri, curious. Hyeri, who realized that, took the initiative to introduce her.

“He's Kim Hyunjin, my fiancee. You can call him Jin.” Hyeri brightly smiled. Nara clearly looked surprised at Hyeri's words. To the extent that he did not realize that Jin was extending his hand to introduce himself.

“Hai, I'm Hyunjin. Nice to meet you, Nara.” hello Jin friendly.

“Eh? Ah, I mean I'm also happy to meet you.” Nara looks at Jin's face carefully, trying to digest what's really going on here.

“Hahaha. don't be surprised so. He's my fiancee. My goal was to ask you to come here actually because I wanted to explain everything to you. I don't want any misunderstandings between us.” Hyeri's words stopped for a moment as a waiter placed a glass of brown caramel on the table in front of Nara. Feeling that her throat suddenly felt dry, Nara immediately gulped down a bit of her brown caramel.

“Then what do you want to explain to me, Hyeri-ssi?” ask Nara

“It's about the misunderstandings that often occur between us. About my relationship with Taehyun. If you still think that Taehyun and I still love each other, then you should immediately throw away that ridiculous thought. Me and Taehyun were indeed still so close, but it was purely because I considered him an older brother. So many similarities between us that sometimes we do not need to talk to each other to know our feelings. But believe me, he and I have decided to live our lives differently. He only loves you, Nara. Only you're. And about me, we're both getting married next month.” Hyeri glanced at Jin for a moment and returned a friendly smile.

“Married? Really?”

“Yes. Actually my goal in returning to Korea was not to tease or want to go back into Taehyun's arms, as you might have thought. I returned to Seoul solely to accompany Jin who was running his business in Jeju. All of us are preparing for our wedding which will also take place in Jeju. That's when Taehyun called me. He begged me to help him. Makes you realize how you feel about her. I don't have to explain the chronology, do I? I think he has explained it to you.” There was a faint joking smile in Hyeri's tone as she said it. The girl took out an invitation from her bag, then placed it on the table before Nara.

“I really hope you guys will come to our Wedding.”

Nara took the invitation in front of her, looking at the elegant-looking front cover with a picture of the two that looked harmonious. Hyeri gets prettier with her long wedding white dress, while Jin looks thousands of times more handsome with his white tuxedo. Nara smiled.

“Of course we will come.” Nara responded with a sense of relief that she was unable to hide.

“I'm glad to hear it.” both look to each other looking warmly and throw a sincere smile on his lips.

“If I may ask. Have we hurt each other too much to be friends, Nara?” Hyeri.

“I think we can still chat as a Friend, Lee Hyeri.” replied Nara.

“I'm sorry. Since I never knew you, so once you appeared between me and Taehyun, I always thought badly of you. I'm really sorry for that. And thank you, if it wasn't for your presence maybe my relationship and Taehyun wouldn't be what they are today. I really thank you guys” continued Nara. Hyeri just nodded her head briefly while muttering that she was fine.

“And thank you Jin-ssi, for allowing your fiancee to seduce my husband. Hahaha.” the three laughed cheerfully, as if each of them was finding another new family in his life. Hyeri and Nara hugged each other before they split up there. At first Hyeri wanted to take Nara home, but the girl continued to refuse. In the end, they decided to split up at the cafe.

Now Nara is walking on the outskirts of a row of Seoul city shops that look calm. From that moment he continued to pay attention to one by one place\-a place that he used to visit often. The little supermarket on the corner of the street was the first place he went to when his stomach rang at night. Just when he came home from work. Yes, only a ready-to-eat ramen that he continues to eat, because the salary of a part-time employee is not enough to survive. Moreover, Nara still has to pay rent and various necessities of life.

For some reason, he really missed the atmosphere of this place. Like being a stranger, Nara feels herself to be different now. She is no longer an ordinary Nara since she married one of the heirs of Han’s Group, a powerful superpower in Korea. Even Taehyun never allowed him to go alone on foot like now. Taehyun always only gave him permission to leave when Nara used a private driver that he deliberately prepared for her.

Nara smiled as she looked at the fishcake vending car stopping nearby. The smell was smelled by Nara. Suddenly his stomach felt very hungry until he finally walked closer and took a few fish cake skewers which he then began to eat.

“There is nothing better than the taste of fish cakes on the side of the road” thought. The girl continued to devour a few fish cake skewers in front of her while observing the surrounding streets that today felt a little lonely.

Unexpectedly, Nara's eyes caught the shadow of a familiar figure across the street. A small man with white skin who he tried to hide behind a leather jacket he was wearing. Nara wouldn't have recognized that it was Lee Baekki if the man hadn't opened his hat. Baekki, wearing a hat and glasses on his face, walked quietly while following a man who was in front of him. Nara frowned as she stared at Baekki's suspicious-looking behavior.

Nara immediately reached into her pocket, took a 10 thousand won note and gave it to the fish-cake-seller's aunt and then ran across the street in front of her to get to Baekki's place. Nara followed Baekki's footsteps calmly. He kept watching the tan-skinned man Baekki was following. The man seemed to be turning around. Maybe he's beginning to realize that he's being followed. At that time, Baekki looked confused looking for a hiding place so as not to be caught, but he was really surprised when he felt his hand pulled to enter the small hallway between the two shops to his right. Baekki rounded his eyes when he found out who was pulling him.

“Nara, what are you doing?” asked Baekki who looked surprised.

“Saving you” replied Nara indifferently. They were still hiding behind the wall while observing the tan-skinned namja that was now standing not far from them. It was as if he was waiting for someone, until Baekki and Nara continued to observe him.

“Isn't he Lee Jong In? Mr Han's Personal Driver? What's he doing?” nara asked half-whispering in Baekki's earlobe standing in front of her.

Baekki hasn't received an answer, but a middle-aged man is seen getting off the wheel of a black luxury car. Jong-in walked closer to the window of the car's rear bench which slowly began to open. Like staring at a boss who so respected, now Jong In lowered his head to pay respect. Then he is seen talking for a moment and holding out a brown envelope through the open window of the car.

Baekki was really watching him intently, waiting and trying to figure out who was actually sitting in the car. Moments later, a woman's hand reached out to pick up the brown envelope that Jong In handed over. Then the car sped away when the driver got back in place.

Baekki chipped a little while cursing in his heart when he realized this was not as easy as he had imagined. Somehow the more he investigates where this terror comes from, like the more he has to solve. He squeezed his temple which again throbbed pain.

“You okay Baekki-ssi?” asked Nara who had been in front of Baekki. Baekki opened his eyes that had been closed, he looked at his superior wife in silence. He was still trying to make his expression look flat so that the girl did not feel suspicious of him.

“Nara, what are you doing in a place like this? You alone? Where's Jindo? Didn't he drive you?”

Nara looks wryly smiling. Showing a little sweetness so that the secretary did not complain to her husband who would clearly not like what he did today.

“I just met with Hyeri, and when I was coming home, I saw you walking sneaking around following someone. Why are you following Jong In? What's wrong with him?”

Getting all sorts of cornering questions from Nara, Baekki looks a little clumsy. He walked out of the shop hallway and began to step towards where his car was parked.

“Let's take you home.” Baekki told Nara.

The atmosphere in Baekki's car was very quiet, no one started talking until the two felt quite awkward. Nara looked at her husband's secretary for a moment, and tried to interpret Baekki's complicated facial expression.

“Hey, Lee Baekki you haven't given me an explanation. What exactly happened, huh?” Nara is still trying to corner Baekki with her difficult questions. Baekki exhales slowly, before finally deciding to tell Nara of this secret.

“Can you keep a secret?” baekki asked with a short nod from Nara.

“So like this. Lately, Mr. Han often gets terror from someone”

“Terror? What do you mean Lee Baekki?”

“Some time ago there was someone who put a brown envelope containing photos of mistress Yoon, master Jung and Han Jaehyun in his study. His house. Then he asked me to investigate it.” Baekki tried to explain.

“But the thing is, when I started doing the investigation. Terror comes back to us. There was someone who deliberately laid down a proof of the illegal cooperative relationship between Mr. Jung and Mrs Yoon. And recently we received a terror containing a copy of the account showing that Mrs Yoon has taken 100 million won from the company.”

“A-What?”

“Mr Han asked me to conduct a tacit investigation into the case. And I hope you won't tell Taehyun. Me and Mr. Han just don't want him to be affected by something as uncertain as this. Most likely, they are conspiring to take down Taehyun. To take over his position. Therefore, we are trying to protect Taehyun from them.”

“All I know. Based on your story, I think the one who gave you terror seems to be standing on our side. What is that guy Jong In?”

“What can I do to help Taehyun?”

“Entahlah. Stay by Taehyun's side because you are a power unto him. I still do not know exactly when they will start attacking and start dropping Taehyun slowly. All I can do is protect Taehyun from behind like now. And, I hope everything will be fine.”

Taehyun’s House – Gangnam Distric [South Korea]

08.00 PM

.

.

The light of the middle sun was replaced by a beautiful looking moonlight. The sound of the friction of the branches of trees in the garden behind the Han family residence sounded so soothing through the open second-floor middle room window. Nara sat on the floor of the living room moving her hands to draw a wedding dress on white paper that she placed on the sofa table. The look on his face was serious and earnest when he drew. His mind was still spinning on the words that Baekki had said earlier this afternoon.

Questions began to appear in his mind. Was it true that her mother-in-law and Jaehyun would go that far to destroy Taehyun? To take all his treasure? Worry again covered him. Nara doesn't want anything bad to happen to her husband. He wanted to protect her, protect her Taehyun.

Because it was so serious with various speculations in his mind Nara to the point of not realizing that the man was sitting on the sofa located behind him. Taehyun looked at his wife's serious face while watching the girl's hand movements that continued to incise an image that he thought was quite beautiful.

“Hemmm.” Taehyun sounded a small thud beside Nara's ear. Makes the girl reflex turn her head and look surprised to find the face of her husband so close.

“Since when were you there?” asked Nara nervously.

“I should ask, what are you thinking, humm? Why don't you even notice my presence?” Taehyun pulled the white sheet of paper in front of Nara and looked at her while laying her body on the sofa. The man looked tired, and Nara only realized it as she stared at Taehyun's bead in the eye.

Nara turned her body towards the sofa where Taehyun was lying while paying attention to the design he was making.

“You made a wedding dress? Ah, Nara actually I am also thinking about this.”

“What?”

“Let's get married again. Actually I wanted to surprise you, but seeing you also seemed to want this I'd better tell you. Actually I've asked Hyeri to prepare for our wedding in Paris. Don't you like Paris so much?”

“Our wedding? Aren't we married?”

“A real wedding. Mutual promises to be faithful before God.”

“We've done it Han Taehyun” scolded Nara. The girl is seen touching the fingers of Taehyun's hand lying in front of him and linking his hands over those fingers.

“But at that time I was the only one who loved you. Only I solemnly say the wedding vows from my heart”

“Ah, so you're thinking that I didn't love you yet? Stupid!”

“What?” hearing himself say stupid Taehyun immediately screamed loudly while throwing a cold look at his wife.

“You know when I first fell in love with you?”

“How do I know. You never said you loved me!” Taehyun turned his face away while looking annoyed.

“Aish, I just found out this is your real attitude. Totally childish. You just look cold from the outside, but you're actually too sweet.” Nara Ejek.

“I started loving you when I saw you wearing a white tuxedo and waiting for me at the altar. I started thinking about living a real married life with you. You who were standing waiting for me back then looked a thousand times more handsome than a god. I think at that moment I fell into your heart” Nara pursed her lips as she did not get a good reaction from her husband.

“Hey, come! You're not mad just because I say you're stupid, are you? You've never been like this before, Tae.”.

Taehyun still turned his gaze to the other side so Nara sighed as she looked at him.

“All right is up to you. What was clear when saying the sacred promise of marriage, I actually said it from my heart”. Nara took back her white paper from Taehyun's hand and resumed her unfinished design.

“You mean what you said?” ask Taehyun

“Of course” answered Nara accordingly.

“Then why did you draw that wedding dress?”

“I'll give it to Hyeri. As a gift and my gratitude to him. Whaddya think? Will he like it?” Nara lifted the white paper in her hand and showed the design again to Taehyun.

Taehyun just nodded his head briefly. He was still lying on the sofa. It seemed like he really looked so tired today.

“You why? Is there a problem in the office?” nara asked as she stared fixedly at her husband's tired-looking face.

“You know, lately I've been a little suspicious of Baekki. Has Shin Jihyun never told you anything at all?”

“No. Why why anyway? What do you think of Baekki?”

“Lately he's been leaving the office a lot. He's like he's busy with his own business”

Nara was speechless, confused as to how she should deal with this kind of situation. She couldn't possibly tell what was going on, to her husband. He had promised to keep that secret to Baekki. But Nara also did not want Taehyun to suspect a secretary who was so loyal and even willing to sacrifice to protect him. Again and again the girl was always in a difficult position.

“Taehyun-ah, trust Baekki. Whatever he does out there, he definitely has a good goal for the company as well as for you”

“You don't know Baekki well enough Kim Nara, and you defended her?” Taehyun looked at his wife strangely.

“Don't you like it? You like Lee Baekki?” accuse Taehyun who immediately got a sharp look from Nara.

“YAK! Why are you so childish! How could I love my best friend Han Taehyun? And didn't I tell you, you're the only one I love”. Nara no longer cared about her husband. He looked back at his paper lying on the table and turned to Taehyun who was still lying on the sofa.

Without Nara noticing, Taehyun was smiling. He looked happy at the words he had just heard. Taehyun got up from his sleep, he looked at Nara's back in front of him and hugged her from behind.

“The only one you love? Can you say it again?” taehyun whispered in Nara's ear. He hugged his wife's body so tightly.

“Contact say..” persuade Taehyun.

Nara turned to look at her husband, “No.”.

“Yak, you really don't want to say it?”

“No..” clear Nara again.

“Yak, kim Nara. You!” Taehyun pulled Nara's body closer, without saying much he immediately kissed her lip leaf. Next to Taehyun's hand hugged Nara's neck while his other hand hugged his wife's waist tightly. Nara slightly pushed Taehyun's body away when she saw the figure of Jaehyun standing in front of her while watching them with a sliced look.

Taehyun, who had not noticed Jaehyun's presence, looked closer to his face, about to kiss the girl again. But quickly Nara dodged and directed her gaze towards Jaehyun. Making Taehyun unwillingly follow the direction of Nara's view. Taehyun looked cynical smiling afterwards.

Jaehyun's face was flushed red, like he was holding so much anger in him. The wounds from Taehyun's punches still lingered on Jaehyun's face. Making a purplish blue color looks domineering at the temples and corners of his lips.

“Oppa, you're finally out. You okay?” ask Nara. The girl was about to get up and approach Jaehyun, but Taehyun immediately restrained his arm. He pulled Nara's arm so hard that the girl was sitting next to him on the cream sofa in front of the television.

“Hyung, it looks like I overdone a little yesterday. Sorry..” said Taehyun flat. There was no sincere impression in his apology. Everyone can see it clearly. Jaehyun just smiled a little, a smile that seemed mocking and then passed down one by one the stairs of the house and went somewhere.

“You're outrageous, Tae.” scolds Nara on her husband.

“And I don't care.” Taehyun replied indifferently.

“You're mine, Nara. I can do whatever I want. Because you're my wife.”.
