MY HUSBAND IS NOT A MURDERER
EPISODE 028'S

“Pak Igor!”

“Ya, with my own.”

“Why did Gun torture you first, instead of killing you directly?”

The room was silent for a moment, as was Igor who was trying to find answers to Han's suspicions.

“Torturing someone is the most extreme action. Only gangsters and big mafia do that. The big mafia in this city did that to get an answer from a man he tortured.”

Still quiet there was no answer. Eva and Mike saw Han thinking hard.

“That's what intrigues me the most. What does Gun question you?”

“Inspector Han!” firmly Eva glared. “What are you doing? You're asking a tough question to the victim.”

“Darling, you don't have to try so hard to answer. This is not an interrogation. If you don't know or don't remember, you can't answer.” Eva looked at Igor.

“Eva! If you're a cop, then sit next to me, and if you're the wife who helped her statement, then sit next to your husband. Don't cut it off!” Han's upset.

“Gosh. That's right, Senior. You seem to be overreacting,” Mike.

“Decide immediately! Where you're gonna sit, so you don't bother me.”

Igor smiled broadly at Eva reassuringly. “I'm fine, Darling.”

“Good. I think I should get out.” Eva walked out the sewot.

Igor started to explain. When he persuaded Gun, he said that he had a brother who was working in the police force when the tragedy unfolded.

And it's possible, Gun vented his anger on Igor, because the police didn't find his wife. And Igor fainted after being stabbed in the arm and woke up half-conscious, as Eva lowered him from the crane hanging from her body.

Han nodded still not satisfied hearing the explanation from her. “That's what I think is weirdest. Why didn't he just kill you, like he killed Fredrik?

He was instead stalling for as long as possible to try to pull the crane. As if giving you a chance to answer his question.” Han stood up and walked back and forth.

20 Years of being a police officer makes Han have a lot of experience and can see things that block. His head was filled with suspicion on Igor back then.

“Entahlah. I also do not know, why he did that,” Igor replied casually. “Maybe because he doesn't like the police. If the police officer hadn't come by then, I might have died hanging.

The police officers couldn't save me as a victim, and that guilt would stay within all the police force that was there at the time. I think that's the reason.” Igor answered cleverly.

“Hahaha. How do you know what he was thinking at the time?”

“Ah, you're right Inspector. Only Gun can figure out what he's thinking, as well as me. I'm not a psychic. There's no way for me to know what he thinks.”

Inspector silent. Igor reversed his words. Han sat back down to his chair.

“So, can you give me any questions I can answer, Inspector Han?”

“Hmm. You went to that village with the reporter Roy you just met when he went to your workplace, then you also happened to take Gun's taxi, and he picked you randomly to be a victim?”

“What is a question?” Igor looked back at Han

“No. Call it my doubt.” They looked at each other, gave statements and gave arguments.

“Inspector Han, don't you like me? You're asking like cornering me as a suspect.”

Igor grinned widely. “I know everything, Inspector Han. The first few years we were married, that's when she introduced me to you. You even welcomed me like your own brother back then.

However, you secretly told Eva to cut me off without my knowledge. You said I wasn't attractive at all. I heard all this from my wife. How could he lie?”

Inspector Han was silent a thousand languages. She was very embarrassed, because Eva told her own husband. He can't speak anymore.

“Did I ever do anything wrong to you? If I ever, say it, and I will apologize wholeheartedly to you.”

Han just smiled cynically. He lost a big argument with Igor.

“Detective Mike, I think it would be better if you interrogated me. I know this job is entirely your responsibility, not that of Inspector Han who has a higher position.”

“Ya, okay. I'll do it.”

“Inspector Han, give it to me. Just let me. You can enjoy your day off.”

Han stood up from his seat and said, “Alright. Besides, it's not time for me to take care of something like this anymore. Let's wait until Gun is arrested, then everything on his mind will be known.”

Han snorted and left the room.

Igor just kept quiet and smiled looking at her.

30 Minutes is fast. Igor has given all his statements to Mike.

Eva rushes in after Mike exits the room. His face looked glum, filled with questions in his head.

“Everything's done well, Darling.” Igor got out of his bed to see Eva coming.

Eva smiled slightly and looked down.

“What's wrong with you, honey? Is there a problem?”

“No. It'sit's nothing. Mike also told me that you did well. Good work.” Eva walked towards the sofa in the corner.

“You're not what you used to be. You seem worried about something. Whatisit? Just tell me, I'll listen to you.”

“Tak what. I'm doing fine. No problem at all.” Eva sat down on the sofa and turned her face away.

“Eva, you should go home and rest well tonight. You look so tired, after a whole week waiting for me in this place. You should go home and rest. I'll be fine.”

Igor follows Eva sitting on the sofa.

“How can I go home and rest? How can I sleep well at home in this situation?”

“Why do you say that?” Igor doesn't know what he's thinking.

“Why? You almost died before my eyes. That event happened a week ago. You were unconscious for an entire week. Do you know how broken I am? You know?”

Eva's emotions were high and her eyes were glazed over. Her mind was very chaotic, filled with her own suspicions at her husband.

“My feet give up every time I get a call from outside. Everybody's looking for me. Why are they looking for me? Why would they want to talk to me? All those damn reporters and reporters.

I always refuse calls from unknown numbers that bother me all the time, even every second. I was so shocked when I saw you hanging in front of my eyes, and you wanted to tell me to go home?

Every time I go home to a lonely house, I worry that I will live alone. Do you know how scared I was then? You'll never know how torturing this past week has been for me.”
