Maya Adisti
Contract

#POVAKash

I've been waiting here for four hours for the girl, but her nose is nowhere to be seen. I didn't have time to ask mom where the girl's house was because after the wedding was over, I went straight to the apartment. I have lived long apart from my family.

I've tried my hardest to get mom to just cancel all the wedding preparations after failing to find Ruth, my ex-lover. He broke off our relationship five days before the wedding for no apparent reason.

Ruth ended our relationship through a chat message. I thought he was joking but when I came to his house, it was empty. I tried calling her cell phone, her relatives, her friends, even to her office nobody knew where Ruth was going.

Not only the phone, I also visited the office and home of his friends but nil. He's lost like he swallowed the earth. At the end of my eternity, my mother suggested that I look for a replacement bride, whether it's a rental or a friend who would help. I rejected the idea outright but my mother insisted, she also went to find the person who would replace Ruth.

I don't know who can stand in the way of mom and her crazy ideas because dad's not with us. He's busy with business! What kind of father doesn't care about his own child's marriage?

The next day my mother told me she had the woman, my bride-to-be. I wondered how I could get a girl in just two days.

I interrogated mom, she said she had a close friend but had not communicated for a long time and it happened that her best friend's daughter was a girl.

By the time H day arrived, I thought mom had changed all the arrangements as we agreed. Only the reception and the event were held just to maintain our good name but when I entered the room and saw the altar and the priest who had arrived first there I just realized, my mother had deceived me.

Mom didn't change anything. Wanting to leave was already too impeded. I knew and knew the priest very well, and I was forced to finally marry the girl.

After the blessing was over, I got into a big fight with my mom in the locker room.  How can a mother lie to her own child? The only child he said he loved.

My heart was broken when I did all the marriage with him. The one who should be dancing with me is Ruth, not her. Now everyone knows that I'm Maya's husband. The girl who gave me coffee a few days ago.

I can't sleep all night. I can't possibly let him wander around just like that, what if my business partner runs into him?

It could be fatal if people found out I was married to a woman I didn't know. And Maya also has to explain all this. Maybe he was conspiring with mom.

I closed my magazine and turned to the door when Maya's name was called. I approached her, after saying what I meant I saw her talking to her two friends.

Maya followed me into the car, I let her sit next to me. I glanced at him, looking at his appearance. There's no way I'm taking him to the office, I'm driving my car back to the apartment.

I closed the door to my apartment after Maya came in, opened the fridge and handed her a cold drink. Without me letting the girl sit on the couch.

"So, you and your family are in cahoots with my mom? How much money do you take?" I asked him without further ado.

"Whatchu mean? I don't understand," he looks.

"Don't pretend Maya, I know my mother well."

"If you know who your mother is, just ask her. Why did he cheat on my mother? Said everything I did was a charade. Said I was just sitting at the bar and greeting all the guests. But what's going on?"

"Wait, didn't you know we were both getting married?" manya curious.

"If I knew, I'd turn it down. I accepted her offer because she promised to fulfill all my requests, but not to get married."

"So you're looking for a profit?"

"I only agreed to the offer" he said firmly.

"How nominal are you asking for?"

"I was going to ask for payment at first but my mother reminded me not to ask your family for a penny. My mother was sincerely helpful because she was your mother's best friend. So what did my mother accept? Seeing his daughter marry a stranger." I saw Maya sniffing in annoyance. He was very angry and felt deceived.

I left Maya in the living room, took the map lying on the bed and handed it to Maya. "I need you Maya."

"For what ?"

"Being my wife until I successfully investigated mother and Ruth" I replied firmly.

"Ruth's? Who's that?"

"My ex-boyfriend disappeared before the wedding." I looked at Maya with a very serious expression.

"You're crazy Akash," Maya shook her head.

"Then what do you want? Everyone knows we're married, there's no way I'm gonna let you come here with this look. What if you meet my colleagues or my business competitors? Didn't you think you got there? I also have to find out about mom why she set us up. And Ruth, why did she suddenly just vanish?!" My emotions started to go up, thinking about everything that was going on really made my head feel like it was going to break.

Maya took a deep breath, she opened the map I gave her and read it.

"wedding contract. Whatisthis? How could you possibly make a contract like this? One, the marriage contract lasts indefinitely. Two, no body contact. Three, can't get pregnant. Four, the contract can be terminated only if both parties agree. Five, after the contract is completed the male party is obliged to give some money at the request of the female side." Maya reads the contract slowly.

"Akash, are you serious about point number five?" ask Maya.

I nodded for sure. Money is not difficult for me.

"Why should there be a point number three if there is a number two?"

"I don't know out there you have a boyfriend or not, I don't want you to get pregnant by another man as long as this contract goes on" I replied.

"What kind of woman do you think I am?" Maya throws the map to the table. He seems to think.

"Alright, I agree but on one condition. Don't tell my mom that this marriage is just a contract. I don't want it to make my mom sad."

"Okay, tonight we'll take your things and move here" I replied.

"Tonight?!" exciting Maya.

I nodded and walked towards the door.

"Where are you going?" tanyakanya.

"To your house, let's ask your mother for permission."

"Are you serious? Isn't it too rushed?" Maya is doubtful.

"It'd be weird if we delayed Maya longer."

I opened the apartment door and waited for Maya to come out. The girl walked first while I followed her. You have no other choice Maya, one of the obligations of the wife is to obey her husband. I'm sure you know that. Women cannot sue without cause, especially the day after the wedding.

The sound of my shoes and Maya's shoes echoed throughout the hallway. I'm not sure what I'm doing, but seeing the red henna and the sneeze on Maya's ring finger makes me realize a lot I don't know.

"What are you hiding?" my inner.
