"Come on May, one day," my mother said.
I fell silent, sitting on my bedroom bed with my hands folded over my chest trying to digest what Mom said. My mind was busy weighing and deciding what I was going to do.
But, thinking how long this might have sounded crazy, how could I possibly be willing to be a substitute groom for a man I didn't know. What would my friends say if they suddenly found out I was married? Even if it's just pretend?.
Pretending to be a bride ?
Just be right.
"May.." call my mother soft, I feel her sitting next to me. My body that was blinding on the bed so leaned to the left.
"May, Mega is a mother's best friend, mother does not want to refuse her request, pity them. There's no way they're suddenly canceling what they've been preparing for the party, there's going to be a lot of gossip out there" she explained.
Oh my God, what about me?.
Do you not think about the fate of your own child?.
"Come May.... You are not really married. You just stand at the door, greeting all the invited guests who come. It's over," mother continued.
I took a long breath. Was it wrong for me to be in this position?
"Why do I have to ma'am?" my protest.
"So they want the one who is still in college May. Let if the guest invitation is not shy nanyain really they answer," said the mother.
"Are there no other people, ma'am?"
"No, they won't ask for our help, son." Mom stroked my head slowly. Ah, this woman was always too kind to everyone.
I pecked annoyed, how could it be that at a crucial time like this they were still thinking about their own criteria. Truly self-seeking people. How can you be friends with someone like that?.
"Lagian May, Akash is as good as you know your handsome mother. He is also a young businessman. Mega says if you agree all your requests will be fulfilled." Mom still seduces me.
"Oh, Akash his name," my inner self.
But, hearing mother's words just now, it seems possible too. Ask them what is the same? A car? A home? The money?
I opened my eyes and looked at my mother seriously.
"All right, I agree" I said.
Mom looked so happy, she kissed me on the cheek a few times. Actually I can't refuse mother's request, just that I want to make sure what I get if I agree.
Hearing that they wanted to fulfill all my wishes, I got excited. It is undeniable that right now I need money for college. At least with that I can ease the burden on my mother.
I lay down on the bed, I spread my gaze across the room and let out a long sigh. Maybe in this way God gave me a way out of the difficulties I was facing.
I looked at the door, and I saw my mother busy calling someone. I looked at his shady face, it seemed like mom was really sincere in helping her friend named Mega. Suddenly, my mother approached me.
"You're ready, tomorrow we go to the hotel where the show is" said the mother.
"When is the wedding mom?" manya lazy.
"May's day!"
"What!?" I jumped in shock and then snorted in annoyance.
It's Friday, which means the wedding is on Sunday. Time seems to be very supportive.
I got out of bed, grabbed a checkered shirt, put it on and left all the buttons open. I combed her hair and tied her up.
"Where's May going?" ask mother.
"To distro bu. I have to get permission from A Agung" I explained.
It could be said that Agung is my boss, besides that he is my level brother on campus.
"You can call May…"
"Ah mother, I don't know A Agung aja," I replied while wearing shoes.
I took the helmet and kissed the solemn mother's hand. His face showed concern.
"Don't speed it up May. Remember the show the day after tomorrow," said the mother.
Gosh, it seems like mom really thinks of me as a bride. I shake my head.
My motorbike is traveling at medium speed towards a large men's equipment distro on Kapatihan Street, Bandung.
After parking my motor matic, I rushed into the distro. I saw Nia my friend was busy hanging up a new shirt.
"A great where's Nia?" my many.
"It's like in the warehouse, sorting things out. Why did you come here he said he wanted guidance?"
"The lecturer did not enter, so mending work instead of bosen at home," I replied.
"A lot of stuff A?" my many.
"Eh, May. Not a guide?"
"No A, the teacher didn't come in. A same tomorrow as the week I can permit ya?" my spoken.
"Why? Mommy sick?"
"With A, I have a family event. Monday I go in for a normal afternoon," I explained.
"Okay, did you help Nia?"
"Well, thank you, A!" my sahut was replied with a nod of A Agung. I also went back to the front to help Nia put the latest clothes and pants on the shelf.

In the afternoon it rained very hard, not many customers visited. I'm getting bored just sitting by the cashier's desk.
"Hujan gini mah, good to have a meatball, would you not?" I asked Nia.
"Hayu, but I'm boke. You ask A Agunglah May." said Nia slowly.
"No need to ask, buy meatballs there. All the coffee !" sahut A Agung's. He's keeping a hundred grand on the table.
"Dine! A Agung mah the best boss in the world!" morale say.
I rolled up my jeans then rushed out of the distro, crossed over, approached the roadside meatball dealer who had become my subscription.
"Mang, meatballs three mix all the pedes are separated, later taken yes," I said.
"Ready Neng Maya!"
I ran down the sidewalk, towards a cafe not far from the meatballs.
"Eh, May. Copying?"
"Yes A Diki, who used to make A Agung one, orange juice one, ice caramel latte one take away," I replied.
"Gini rain on minus the ice. How is this tea ?" a Diki Protest.
"Kan ngebakso A, mah meatballs fit the cold."
I spread my eyes across the big room. My vision suddenly fell upon a man sitting facing out the window.
He doesn't seem to order anything. No coffee or other drinks on the table. He just sat on his chin with his hands and daydreamed at the rain. Seen from his clothes, it looks like an office person. Wear a long-sleeved shirt without a tie, dapper pants, shiny pantofel shoes and an expensive looking watch.
"A Diki, add a hot caramel latte one, do not need to be wrapped yes," said I who was replied with a nod.
After completing the payment transaction, I grabbed a crackle and a glass of hot caramel latte. I walked towards the man who was daydreaming. It seemed like he was having problems, his face looked gloomy and his eyes were as moist as if he was crying.
"Hot caramel latte sir," I said as I kept the glass in front of him.
The man looked over, I was surprised. Either because of his handsome face or because of his stare that looked at me annoyed. I became a wave. Seems like my good intentions were he misunderstood or maybe the man was angry?
I'm afraid he thinks I forced him to buy coffee.
"Udah paid for his coffee sir. Excuse me."
I rushed out, grabbed the umbrella that was lying down and walked through the rain. After taking my meatball order, I returned to the outlet.
"It's really May" Nia protested.
"Buy it yourself!"
After our food was finished. Me and A Agung smoke cigarettes in the storage room. We sat in front of the locker chatting and enjoying the coffee I had bought, while Nia stood guard in front.
It was only a few minutes when Nia suddenly approached us.
"May there's someone who's dancing" Nia said half-whispering.
"Who?" much
"Don't know."
I smoked my cigarette once and then turned it off. I rushed forward followed by Nia. I was stunned, seeing a man who was cool looking at the t-shirt in one corner.
"Why is he here?" my inner.
