Chapter 38's

Hogan, Lia and Alan lived their daily lives as usual. Lia is getting bigger Lia and she is not happy to be fat but can't wait for the little one to join the world. At the stage where she almost gave birth to her baby Lia was still dating Hogan who ruled the underground with her.

Lia refuses to stay at home because she does not want to be fat and stupid according to him and Hogan is forced to agree with her.

"What about the case the other day? About the con man hiding among your gang? Someone who wants to start a gang war?" Lia asked Hogan while they were at HQ's law office.

"Owh that case, we solved it. Finding the culprit easily, he was in the gang before but decided to form his own gang. He planned to rise through the ranks easily with a shortcut. An amateur who thinks he knows everything about the underworld." Hogan said while doing his office work and Lia was going through some work involving the mafia.

Why didn't you ever tell me about it? Am I useless now? Lia felt abandoned. While Hogan knew, it was just his hormones.

Hogan changed his seat next to Lia and pulled his head to his chest and hugged her tightly.

"Darling, angel .. You know you're everything to me. You carry my son, my heir to all this wealth and fortune. I just don't want you to be stressed and tired. Do you remember what the doctor said to you correctly? Plus it's a very small case, not worth your attention, okay, baby?" Hogan tried to persuade and he knew he was successful when he felt a nodding movement of the head on his chest.

At least Hogan felt relieved when Lia did not bring this matter any further, he simply did not want to see her sad. Hogan did his best to keep Lia away from danger or sadness, he could see how sensitive Lia was during her pregnancy and his heart was broken seeing her angel lose herself like that. Lia lost her confidence and the doctor told her that it was because of her pregnancy.

"Darling, baby are you tired? Want to sleep a little?" Hogan rubbed a circle on the back of his body.

"Are you going?" Lia asked in a soft voice but Hogan could still hear her.

“I won't love, I'll stay here doing my job while you sleep in the room ok?'

It was Hogan's office but he had a restroom that had a small bed, bathroom, and wardrobe.

Hogan picked her up bridal style and went into the room, he lowered her down slowly and covered her body with a blanket. It didn't take long for Lia to fall asleep and Hogan came out after kissing her forehead.

"Let him sleep. He's been getting emotional lately." Hogan sat down with a thud.

"Stay away... You are a whip to him." Webster laughs.

"Yes. There is no denying it in that. So then.. What brings you here? Or did you lose our little angel?" It was time for Hogan to retaliate.

They all never denied that they were head over heels for Lia because she was too precious to them and needed to be protected.

"It's about Lia." Suddenly Kevin became serious and Hogan knew it was important.

Hogan sat up straight and looked straight into his eyes.

"Remember Red? The man Lia roasted in a meeting?" Hogan nodded.

"My informant told me that his brother ended up reneging even though he was the only family he left behind." Kevin confused Hogan.

"So, why is it related to Lia?"

"He was rejected because he continued to plan attacks on Lia without his brother's knowledge and Rob managed to stop him at all times. Now that he's alone, no one's stopping him from attacking our angel. He thought if Lia who was higher in rank than him left, then you would choose him."

Hogan rubbed his face as a sign of frustration. Lia approaching the due date. It is a matter of time when she is about to give birth to a baby and is now a threat.
