Chapter 24's

"It's true I want your company but in a way where I don't want you to get in trouble with me. Can you cooperate with that so I don't have to hunt you down." Yong was trembling a little.

"What d.d.dd.meeeaaan sir?" Hogan grinned while shooting a dagger with his eyes.

"I KNOW." That's all Hogan said Yong understood what he meant.

I understand sir, sorry I didn't know before Yong stood up getting ready to leave.

"and.. Don't do your business in my area or in Webster. Don't look for trouble with Lord and Webster. Now go!"

Yong walked out of the door feeling embarrassed and scared. He had no idea what he was targeting was Donna and Webster Mafia Lord.

"Hello."

"Damiin' here."

"I cannot deliver the angel to you."

"Why?"

"I found out that the angel was Hogan's partner whom he had declared to be Donna Mafia Lord and Webster. I almost dug my own grave."

"You mean, the angel you're talking about is Lia Webster?!" Yong sighed hearing it. His 5 million dollars were gone because he valued his life more.

"Yes, now I have to go." And Yong just hung up.

Hogan was satisfied, his plan was successful and Hogan was confident Yong would not make any efforts against his daughter again. Now that's on the phone he needs to know he's gonna back off.

Hogan had other plans to find out who it was because Hogan had already tapped Yong's phone and soon he would know. The tech team is currently doing their job. It's the second problem now.

"Hogan, I have to pick up Alan now, he's used to me picking him up so he can tell all his friends that he has a mother now." Lia explained to Hogan about her son's new habits.

I want to do the same." Lia is a riddle to that statement.

"Do what?"

I want to tell everyone that you are my wife."

Lia turns into a tomato in seconds. He lightly hit Hogan's chest and stood up. Lia light pecked at her cheek and waved her hand as she walked towards the door.

Hogan thought maybe in a moment he could continue with his plan.

"Donna's going downstairs to pick up Alan, go where she wants to go and report me as usual and don't forget her and Alan."

Hogan was very careful anytime and anywhere. When you have many people envying you in many aspects, it is better to be careful than to feel regret.

Hogan continued his work when he received a phone call from his tech team. He knew he would get the answer he wanted.

"Boss, we have it."

"Who?

"Mr Damien, your father."

"Why am I not surprised at all. Good job, thank you."

He hung up the phone and nodded. Massaging his head involuntarily even though he did not feel dizzy.

He only felt a heavy burden of guilt fall on his shoulders even when he had nothing to do with it.

Lia noticed that the security around Lia was getting tighter, Lia could guess the reason but would not bother to ask because Lia chose to believe in Hogan.

As long as Lia's freedom to move was not taken away from Lia, Lia was fine with it. Hogan did this for Lia's own good, Lia believed.

Lia knew her siblings had already planned this while maintaining security when they planned to show Lia to the public. So this is not a completely new world for Lia.

Lia had a photo shoot today so Lia walked into the studio after Hogan dropped her off and left her with a few guards.

Lia did my usual routine for photoshoots ranging from putting on my makeup, then getting dressed and walking onto the platform.

"Owh... Where's Jeff? Is he always the one who takes my picture?" Lia asked when Lia saw a different photographer waiting for her while arranging the lighting.

"Sorry, my name is Mike, Jeff's new assistant. Jeff has a family emergency that he has to deal with. I just started working last month. It's good to finally meet you." Mike bowed slightly instead of offering a handshake as if Mike knew Lia didn't like it.

"I don't mean to be rude. Always Jeff. It's nice to meet you. I wish you could follow him." Lia smiled sincerely to break the ice between Lia and Mike.
