Not a Good Man

Abel stared at the beautiful diamond ring in front of him. Instantly his heartbeat increased rapidly with that his whole body felt stiff and difficult to believe if he had just been proposed by Robin.

Abel changed to look at Robin who also saw him, the man's eyes looked hopeful to receive his proposal. Abel's hand was raised and approached towards the ring but he closed the box, leaving Robin puzzled by Abel's reply.

"I'm sorry Robin but I can't". That's the answer Abel gave Robin, a rejection that the man got after planning all this but Robin didn't seem to lose his mind.

"I know maybe it's too soon for you, don't rush to answer". Robin's hand again opened the ring box and took the contents to be pinned on Abel's left ring finger.

"Please put it on first, I'll give you a week and then I'll charge you an answer, you can use that time to think". Robin's hands clasped Abel's hands, making the girl unable to remove the ring.

He resigned when the ring was embedded in his ring finger and accepted all Robin's wishes tonight if the man asked him to give an answer a week later. And during that time Abel will think well should how the decision will be. Indeed, he doubts if Robin is a bad man but Abel has not found evidence that Robin intends not good to him.

And rejecting Robin's request to rethink it, he felt unwell as if Robin had been rejected before he had the chance.

"Well I'll think about it again". Abel.

Robin smiled as she stroked and kissed the back of Abel's hand where the ring had been pinned. The sweet treatment of the man made Abel could not bear to also make Robin disappointed after what he did.

After expressing his intention Robin drove Abel to go home so that both of them could rest and Abel entered the house with shaky steps as if his entire body and heart were also sore.

He lay down on a soft mattress that has been accompanying his sleep but the lights in the room are still not turned on. Intentionally, Abel did not turn on because he was lazy just to press the light button next to the bed.

Only the moonlight shone brightly and entered through the balcony that illuminated the night. Abel raised his left hand and looked at the beautiful diamond ring with a sparkle that was increasingly visible as the light darkened. "This ring is so nice but why am I not happy wearing it ?".

While other women will be very happy when they get a proposal Abel instead feel the opposite, he is confused what to express because he has no sense with Robin. While receiving an expression of love from Robin he tries to open his heart and try to expel Excel that has long occupied his heart.

But doubts were stirred when Abel had to look at Robin's unfavorable attitude at the nightclub where he attended one of Robin's friends' birthday celebrations. Even on that night Robin did not know what had happened to him and unexpectedly Excel came.

"No idea ah dizzy". Abel took one of the pillows and he dunked it to cover his face because he was confused what to do. On the one hand he wanted to reject Robin on the one hand he could not bear to reject it just like that but he also doubted Robin's attitude.

Perhaps all this would be easier if the man who came to ask her was the person she loved, whom she dreamed of and also hoped for. One name Abel always mentioned since childhood but that name is like a forbidden thing that he should forget now and should not remember again.

Morning arrived where the activities work as usual, today Abel live again like yesterday but before starting his activities, he told Lucy to read a series of agendas today. And when he finished saying Abel Lucy's schedule accidentally saw a sparkling ring on his superior's finger.

"Miss bought a ring ?". If you are not working sometimes Lucy behaves like a friend like that, maybe the effect of long getting used to the boss.

"Where's the buy ?". Lucy asked as she looked back at Abel's finger.

Abel sees his own ring and it comes back to how yesterday Robin proposed to him in a very romantic way that would surely make all women melt, she said, but the one thing Abel can't compare with other women is that he doesn't feel happy.

"Miss I'm sorry". Lucy who felt the atmosphere in the room turned cold to make her feel uncomfortable and chose to leave the room and return to her desk. He is not comfortable with the existence of two people who sometimes do not fit if they meet it.

"Robin proposed to you and you're really getting married ? You're kidding, aren't you?". After Lucy's departure, Excel asks again to make sure that her hearing is not wrong, but Abel feels reluctant to answer and chooses to be indifferent.

Excel put a plastic package that he brought earlier but because he heard that Abel was getting married made him forget the purpose of his arrival there. "I brought food for us to have breakfast together".

Abel did not move in place, he still looked at Excel who took out two boxes of food that the man had brought. I don't know what was on Excel's mind until the man accidentally came over just to take him to breakfast.

"You better take your food away because I've had breakfast at home". His words sniffed without looking at Excel made the man who was preparing food stop and saw Abel who refused to look at him.

"Well, if you don't want to, I don't eat it anymore". Excel took the two boxes of food and dumped them in the trash can in Abel's room and walked to the door, but before leaving he turned around.

"I don't think Robin's a good guy". After saying that Excel goes and closes the door.

Abel looked at the door of his study, which was now closed tightly after Excel's departure, and he was grieving in his heart.

"Who is good then ? are you ?".
