KAYLA, The Substitute

KAYLA, The Substitute
Nostalgic return

"Coffee?"

Kayla nodded then received an instant coffee mug from the hand of a man who had just sat down beside her.

"Thank you" said Kayla, she smelled the aroma of the coffee with a faint smile.

"Who's calling?" kayla asked the man.

"Business partner, ordinary."

"But you seem to avoid me when you talk, usually not" Kayla said, sipping her coffee.

"Just your feelings, nothing. Okay well tell me what happened yesterday, Adrian already told Rafi everything, I want to hear it from you."

Kayla looked at Gilang, she nodded and began to tell him about the meeting with Dev yesterday.

Gilang looked silent. He grabbed Kayla's hand and grabbed her.

"If I forbid you to meet that guy, do you mind? I'm jealous!" cetus Gilang looked at Kayla seriously.

The woman smiled thinly.

"I understand, but don't childish it either. There's no way I wouldn't have met if it was about my son who might meet for the next time with his biological father, I can't forbid Adrian to be close to anyone let alone it's his Dad who he's been missing all this time."

"I don't like the way you tell me about your fucking ex-husband. I'm really jealous."

"As you know, my son's father is not a jerk!" kayla replied while pulling her hand from Gilang.

"You're defending him?"

"Come on Mas Gilang, I don't like your attitude. You were quite possessive as long as we were engaged and you weren't like before, as if you didn't believe me, didn't I choose you?" kayla said lazily.

Flashing, he immediately pulled again Kayla's hand and apologized with a clear face.

"If so, just bring up the date of our wedding. Didn't I never refuse to get married fast, only you were busy getting out of town. We've been engaged for almost five months but there's no certainty when you'll marry me. We're not teenagers anymore who have to date long."

In fact, the Coal entrepreneur was busy out of town taking care of his business and business on a different island.

Gilang was silent, no matter what caused her to be like this from before who urged Kayla to marry him, but after getting engaged there was only reason to delay their marriage, all of this made Kayla uncomfortable.

Not to mention Gilang's possessive attitude that constrains Kayla to be close to any man if the man is out of town. And now hearing the story about Kayla's ex-husband Gilang seems to be upset.

"I understand you're jealous, but I'm not a teenage girl who can be close to anyone. After all, it's a matter of heart and future plans, I'm waiting for you Mas Gilang. I'm waiting for you to come home and show you the certainty of when we're getting married, but why are you quiet?"

"Is there a problem with your job?" ask Kayla again.

She smiled, "We'll get married soon, wait for me to finish things first."

Two days later, Gilang went out of town. No matter what his business Kayla was lazy, he felt his fiancee was behaving unusual than before rarely ever out of town, but the last month the man even rarely settled.

Kayla told Mama Hana for her intention to meet Nikayla as a friend. The middle-aged woman nodded in agreement, Mama Hana never forbade Kayla to do good let alone to support the healing of others she thought.

"Have you given permission to Nak Gilang?" ask Mama Hana.

"I'm not his wife yet, so I don't need permission for this" Kayla said.

"No, it's just a little debate."

"The test of people who are going to get married is there Kayla, do not consider it a big thing, understand maybe Nak Gilang is indeed a lot of work."

Kayla smiled at her mother's advice.

"Yes Ma, I don't demand much less complicate himself just that he has no definite reason why our marriage is always postponed. And the thing that makes me uncomfortable, he was possessive once but invited to get married quickly he was not ready. I don't know!"

Kayla looked to the side while advancing her lips.

"She's possessive for fear of losing you" mama Hana chuckled.

"Who will eliminate me? Mama's overreacting, "joked Kayla, laughing softly, they chatted over breakfast before sending Adrian to school and then to the store.

The next day, Kayla contacted Dev that she was ready to visit Ni Kayla at the hospital, a distance that Kayla traveled quite far from the city where she now lives, which is almost 7 hours by road.

Not strong enough to drive alone, Kayla decided to take a public bus between cities, she came alone because Adrian could not come along because of his busy school schedule.

Kayla stepped on her feet after so many years of not returning to the city she was born in, there was a different feeling as she got off the bus.

His heart felt that time passed very quickly, he used to often pass the city road on his motorcycle to go to college.

Kayla smiled, nostalgic the scenery of the provincial capital that now looked more advanced and modern than ever made her eyes look in all directions.

"It's been a long time since I left this town, Nikayla....... I'm coming for you!" kayla smiled as she ordered a taxi to the hospital.

But not yet a taxi came first a car stopped in front of him.

Kayla. The car did not change after all these years.

"Bang Dev?"

Dev looks out of his car, he approaches Kayla with a spirit and a friendly smiling face.

"Come, I'll pick you up here."

"Where do you know I got on this bus?"

"I've been waiting for you since, I saw you get off this bus so I came here" said Dev innocently.

Kayla was silent.

"Come on, you're my guest so you can't refuse, " said Dev pulling Kayla's hand to get in her car.

Kayla smiled faintly and sure enough she could not resist.

"You still have an old car?" kayla asked in surprise after they were on their way.

"Where may I change the car in which many memories are with you" Dev said teasingly.

"Mkkk.... Stale," Kayla turned outside the window, but her smile rose as she was amused at Dev's words.

Dev chuckled, he smiled happily seeing a real Kayla sitting beside the wheel at this moment.
