Yep! These are all things that every human being wants wherever they are!
But, is all that true?

For though these three things are desirable to man, yet every man's little heart knows what he wants.

Yes, everyone both conscious and not very desiring peace….
However, it was blurred because of the three things that had been mentioned earlier. Humans seek treasures in order to live quietly in old age. They seek the throne in order to get old-age guarantees from the country. As for the men looking for women so that in the old days there will be someone who accompanies them before death picks up.
However, that is not the actual definition of peace although it can also be called part of the definition of peace. However, that is only the definition of peace for ordinary people like us, not for people who have special professions such as soldiers.
So, what is the definition of true peace…?
Only the soldiers can answer it, of course, the soldiers in question are those who really serve sincerely in their nation and state. Not to serve because of the material and also the views of others, and want to be respected.
In the military world, especially the soldiers, they have their own definition of peace that is different from each other, but interrelated and almost the same in the end.
The peace the soldiers want is life….
A life?
Attenuation?
Of safety?
Yeah.huh…! Life and those two things.
Wh why?
Because, if the soldiers aren't alive, who's gonna look after his country? His nation? And the people who live under his care?
Soldiers serve the country and the nation for the sake of life, whether the life of all humans living in the country is broad or general, as well as their own lives specifically or in a narrow sense.
However, there are still some of them who serve because they want to look cool, respected, flattered, and others. It was not the criteria of a true warrior and a great warrior.
Broadly speaking, the army is working hard to ensure that all the people they protect can live a quiet, comfortable, peaceful life, feel safe, feel happy, and happy even though these soldiers have to suffer.
Soldiers guard the lives of the people so that they can work, make money to buy groceries, and then enjoy life in this mortal world.
Why that?
Does life require eating and drinking?
Are there people who do not need to eat and drink to live?
There ain't! Even humans who have the power and claim to be gods even though they need food and drink intake although not often and not much.
Soldiers keep the lives of people who work as farmers in order to produce foodstuffs needed by the state logistics agency.
Soldiers guard the lives of the people who are police, teachers, doctors, officials, even the president even though they are the people who must be protected, even if they have to give up their lives!
There is no country without people…!
There is no country without a legitimate government…!
There is no country without territory…!
And there is no country without an army to protect them…!
Wh why? Is it not without an army that the state can stand because there are people, governments, territories, and recognition from other countries?
Aye! But who will take care of their lives when there is an attack from another country? The rat? A pig? Or dogs?
Without an army, the life of a country would be incomplete and easily destroyed, and caused dozens, tens, even hundreds to thousands of lives and even millions of lives wasted.
The army is there to protect the country…!
Soldiers exist because they want peace and a quiet life…!
Because they are the nation's front fence! They are fences that will fight until their bodies are uprooted to guard the country, to guard the people, to preserve life!
But unfortunately, the peace they want must be suppressed, even eliminated by politics.
The politics of a country has uprooted the fence's hopes for peace.

Then, is it wrong for a soldier to seek the peace, comfort of life, and dependents of the state when they retire?
How much is a soldier's salary?
Tammama-level TNI soldiers only pay 1 million rupiah….
Bintara level soldiers only get a salary of 2 million rupiah….
First Officer level soldiers from the rank of Second Lieutenant to Captain get a salary of 3-4 million rupiah.
It is only basic salary, then is it wrong if they get other dependents such as performance dependents, mission dependents, meal dependents, and old age benefits?
They, the soldiers, deserve it! For they are the ones who seek us peace from the field of battle!
