EX-SOLDIER: In Another World

EX-SOLDIER: In Another World
Hunting - Part 7

Seeing the scene before him, Vincent unknowingly breathed the breath he had been holding. He took a slight snatch at the sight of the chaos of blood and flesh before him, not expecting this kind of result from the action of showering his enemy with his minute-by-minute high-speed bullets produced from the M134-A2 Vulcan Minigun.

His gaze then met with the figure who had accompanied him all this time, a woman he wanted to save. Matilda sat down while hugging her knees in the corner of the room, making herself as small as possible while taking cover behind the table.Judging from her expression, the mess Vincent made was too much for Matilda. His face was somewhat green with his hands covering his mouth, trying not to spit out his entrails upon seeing the bloody mess Vincent produced.

Vincent walked up to Matilda, crouching before her while offering her hand.

"Come on, we gotta get out of here." Vincent said.

Matilda stared right at Vincent, there was horror in Matilda's eyes as she looked at him and Vincent did not blame her. Then Matilda with a head-band as if to get rid of unnecessary thoughts and reach for the hand offered Vincent.

The two begin to move with Vincent replacing his weapon into an M4 Carbine with a 150-grain magazine drum complete with a grenade launcher mounted on his weapon.

Both of them moved towards the courtyard of the mansion, requiring more time than when they had come due to the large number of Eclipse members blocking their escape. Fortunately, despite Vincent's exhaustion and tatters, he manages to get rid of any obstructions that get in his way with Matilda taking refuge behind Vincent.

Arriving in the courtyard of the mansion, Vincent bombarded the members of the Eclipse along with the mansion that became their headquarters with grenade launchers attached to his weapons. Making a mess around the mansion before firing a flare gun into the sky that served as a sign to the troops he had ordered from Celestine.

Seeing the beacon of light that Vincent made, Matilda inevitably wondered why Vincent did it. But the question was answered in the next moment there was an explosion that did not come from Vincent.

THE BOMB!! BOOM!! BOOOM UP!!

Three explosions occurred after Vincent fired his flare gun. Matilda, surprised by the change in events, searches for where the explosion came from while hiding behind Vincent's back.

"Vincent! What the hell is going on?" Matilda asked, her tone containing worry. Especially since he didn't want to die after seeing the mess Vincent was doing and the raw strength of the coconut security division Eclipse.

"Relief." Vincent replied without glancing at Matilda, she was too busy dealing with the Eclipse people who were approaching the two of them.

"Relief? but- ... How's it?"

"Save that statement for later. Now, you better hide or take cover while I hold them before reinforcements get here completely." Vincent replied, leaving no arguments to debate. Matilda, though hesitant, obeyed Vincent's words and began to seek refuge.

...Xxvx...

About 300 meters from the mansion, a man was standing on a hill with a bow in his hand. His eyes focused towards the mansion before him as he pulled his bowstring to the maximum. Entering in a hyper-focus state, the man locked onto his target and unleashed an arrow with a warhead at the tip. The impact from his shot blew up the area where the arrow landed, creating panic in the enemy ranks.

Gill looked ahead to where the mansion that was the headquarters of the Eclipse that he had been showering with arrows along with the other fellows in the Rose Order was in accordance with Celestine's orders. Then his gaze turned to the bow in his hand, a bow that Vincent gave him.

The bow is quite complicated according to Gill, with more than one string and some things that he does not know. However, for power and accuracy issues, Gill was impressed by the bow Vincent gave him. Not only because it requires less power to pull the bow to the maximum, but also because the bow is lightweight with deadly precision. And as for his strength, this bow was much stronger than the bow he had.

Vincent mentioned the name of this bow, Compound Bow. Bows that have been modernized to facilitate an archer.

"You're making me worry stupid." Those words were heard in communicator Vincent, while he was still on the front lines, still buying time for the troops to encircle the mansion.

"Your worries are appreciated." Answer Vincent.

"You know, I'm a little scared if you die." Celestine said through the communicator Vincent gave her.

"Hee... Is it because you love me?" Vincent asked jokingly while shooting the enemy who was running towards him. The bullet darted right between his opponent's eyes, making him die instantly with a hole between his eyes.

"No. I'm just worried if my precious assets just disappear in vain." Celestine answered making Vincent pout. Celestine was not like Lisa who always responded to her jokes if she wanted to, but Celestine was different and somehow her feelings of pride would fall if she went on to tease Celestine.

'It seems I fall into the category of tools glorified by this girl.' Think Vincent cynically.

"More importantly, can you survive? Your appearance of the drone you gave off is quite unsightly." Celestine said as she watched Vincent's performance.

"I'm more durable than you think." Vincent said flat. At least his worries were appreciated, but giving such comments did not seem suitable for Vincent attacking the enemy headquarters directly. Did Celestine think of this attack as a walk in the park? He no longer understood the girl's thoughts.

It took a few minutes ahead as the troops besieged the mansion. The battle had reached its peak and victory was clearly in Vincent's hands.

While continuing to slaughter left and right, Vincent hopes there are no enemies like Eclipse's annoying security chief. It was enough to meet a bandit disguised with a strange technique, the head of security was another thing on the list of enemies he did not want to fight anymore.

Crazy strength and durability like steel. Does this world have anything else beyond its logic?

Vincent wishes that no dragon or other creature would be stronger than Eclipse's chief security officer. If there were only 5 burly bald men like security coconuts, Vincent was confident he would not be able to survive any longer.
