EL NATH (Glorious Regrets)

EL NATH (Glorious Regrets)
Chapter 14 Malioboro

Tiara pulled herself from Nath's embrace. "Sorry!" He wiped his tears with his palm. His eyes looked towards Nath's white t-shirt that looked wet.

"That's it, let me clean it up." Tiara pointed at Nath's wet clothes and immediately stood up looking for tissue.

Nath caught his wrist. "No need, Ra." Nath stared at the clock on his phone. "It's still 8."

"Common in Jogja, to Malioboro, yuk?" bring Nath.

Tiara thought for a moment and then nodded. "Change clothes first." Nath replied with a smile.

Tiara picked up her jeans and a white t-shirt and went into the bathroom. Not to forget he grabbed his jacket denim lying on the bed.

Nath changed his shirt. Keep the color white, because Nath likes the color white. He also bought a jacket, earlier. And she immediately wears it. Not bad, even though the goods are cheap but still look classy on his body.

Tiara came out of the bathroom with a denim jacket that she still folded on her arm. The two looked at each other and laughed together when they saw their compact selves.

"Come on!" Nath extended his hand. Tiara held the hand and walked out of the hotel room.

"First time to Jogja right?" nath asked as the two reached the elevator.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Do you have a list of places you want to visit?"

"Nothing."

"Are we just muters?" tanya Nath and nods back by Tiara.

"Get it for him." Nath pointed at Tiara's stomach. "Danger of the road?"

Tiara shrugged her shoulders. "No complaints at all."

"Good indeed. He should be as strong as his papa," muttered Nath and Tiara rolled her eyeballs, puffed up. Why was he destined for such a narcissistic human being?

They arrived at Malioboro Street. Along the way that pampered the eyes. Light lights roof the sky makes the atmosphere more warm.

This place is pretty crowded. Along the way there are many chairs. Nath and Tiara chose to pull over sitting on the chair made of this iron. A place a little far away from the crowd

Change people passing by. Both of them felt like strangers. "So many people, no one knows ya, Bang."

"He'em. I didn't expect to meet anyone I knew."

Tiara looked to the side, looking at Nath who said that roof. "Why?"

"Yes, if anyone knows, we'll be found out. Huuh! The call came straight in and the first sentence I heard was Nath, go home! Or papa scribbled from KK." Nath put his hand to his ear as if he were receiving a call.

"Haha... It's cruel to Akhtar." Tiara laughed. And I don't know why she looks so pretty in Nath's eyes.

"Rba..."

"Yes..." Tiara looked back at Nath.

"Tell me about, Reiga," pinta Nath.

Tiara instantly lost her smile. Tiara looked straight ahead. Silence happened for a while.

"Reyga, he's my classmate. He shut himself off from us all at the beginning of school. No one knows why, just that the teachers treat him special." Tiara smiled remembering Reygas figure.

"She's out of class when we're so noisy at empty hours."

"He can be absent from sports lessons."

"He can be absent from gymnastics and ceremonies."

"He's free every few months to go abroad."

That special? Inner Nath.

"The reason is only one. She's ill. His heart is not healthy."

Nath stunned. He kept staring at Tiara who was telling the story.

"As time went on, Me, Evelyn, Ajeng and Reyga became friends. We slowly understood his condition. We know his parents."

"Why, I love him. Until finally he said he loved me. Reiga even asked her mother to propose to me when we graduated."

Nath widened his eyes, in disbelief.

"Why me? Maybe because I'm the closest girl and it's possible to be his wife. Evelyn, our beliefs are different from hers. He's the only non-Muslim among us."

"Ajeng, he's been betrothed."

"One day, the preparation of the Mathematics Olympiad began. Me, Reyga and a few other students are in the selection at the school and the winner will represent our school."

"But, Reyga suddenly dropped and he only lasted two hours in that pain." Tiara's tears had already trickled down from earlier.

"He left with my hopes, my wounds, and our love."

"He left me who was used to being with him."

"He left me with a promise that kept me claustrophobic every time he remembered it."

"There's one thing I want to ask you, Bang?" Tiara looked at Nath after wiping away her tears.

"Ask, Ra?"

"Are we getting married?"

Nath nodded. "Yes, Ra. We're getting married."

Tiara smiled. "You know? I never thought I'd be in such a difficult situation." Tiara looked back ahead.

"Before she died, Reyga made me promise to marry her older brother, Reyfan."

Nath looked at Tiara who had a forced smile.

"Reyfan almost raped me a year ago."

Nath was stunned again. How hard is your life, Ra?

"And you succeeded in abusing*saku, the same day he told me he was coming home in two months."

"When I found out that I was pregnant, my mother told me that Reyfan's mother had come and was going to propose to me next month."

"Sometimes I think, why does fate always play tricks on me."

"Reyfan will be home in less than a month. He's unpredictable, and can show up whenever he wants."

"It could be today, or maybe tomorrow."

"It doesn't really matter, she came home before we got married because I'm not sure she's going after me after knowing I'm pregnant."

"I don't want to marry him. I asked Reyga to release me with that promise."

"I pray every night asking God to save me from Reyfan."

"And your perfume, keeps me thinking about Reyga. Remembering Reygah means remembering Reyfan. A time bomb ready to blow me up."

Now Nath understood, why Tiara's emotions rose and fell because of the scent of her perfume. It doesn't make sense, but that's what he saw.

"Lord seems to grant my prayers, doesn't Bang?" he asked Nath while laughing bitterly.

"Facing me in a situation that could make me run away from that promise. I'm carrying your child without me intentionally."

He's correct. What a strange coincidence. Inner Nath.

"I'm kind of swapping that promise with this fetus." Tiara placed her palm on her stomach.

Tiara smiled and looked back, Nath. "I don't regret that night anymore."

"I'm just sorry, that person is you."

"Why?" reply Nath fast. Am I not a good man you think, Ra?

"Because you're Zoya's brother, Bintang's sister, and the closest people to Ezra bang and Rion bang. The most valuable people in my life."

"I'm afraid of accusations of exploiting, and trapping you floating at me."

"It's not going to happen, Ra. I'm the one..." Nath did not continue his sentence.

Tiara laughs. "If I wasn't drunk."

"It's not your fault" cut Nath fast. "The one who was wrong was Sethan."

Tiara frowned. "Damn it?"

"Alias Ethan's. If it wasn't for him, it wouldn't be in your hands."

"You know what, bang?"

"Yes, he told me."

"Are you angry with him?"

"If I get angry, they keep knowing what I did that night, we're not gonna be here, Ra. We're at papa's house with married status."

"You scared?" tiara asked quietly because Nath didn't seem to want her theme to know.

Nath shakes. "Not scared, as you think. Not afraid of responsibility."

"I'm afraid you're not ready. To discuss that you don't want to. What if you're suddenly forced to marry me."

"I'm also afraid you're still traumatized to see me. And imagine we're married and you're afraid of me."

"You're so dizzy, yeah Bang."

"Hem."

"You're a mess."

I'm having trouble sleeping, Ra.

"Times?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"But you're fat" replied Nath.

Tiara laughs. "Yes, eat it!"

Nath stood up, "Come on! Tired of talking, right?"

"We're looking for food" Nath asked.

Tiara stood up. "Asian, free right?"

Nath smiled nodding. "Until satisfied." The two of them immediately walked to find a place to eat that Tiara wanted.
