"Ken?" Everyone stared in disbelief at the man in a white shirt and the knee-length denim shorts were standing at the door of the room that was reserved for him.
His face had not changed since the past six months, yet his body seemed more contained.
"Hug me!" her door.
Lova and Alana ran up to the man. Alana has even shed tears. Everything is like a dream. He doesn't even know when Ken got to this house.
Ken hugged the two women running towards him. "I miss you guys so much." whispered Ken.
"Every night I dream of something like this. Cuddled by two women I left with a heavy heart" he said.
"Six months feels like years."
"I'm like a living corpse there. My body wanders everywhere but my heart is held captive here."
"Waiting for this opportunity feels so expensive, Mom."
"The taste of cooking will not be the same even if I enter dozens of fancy restaurants."
"Family warmth that I can't feel there. I can finally feel it again."
Alvin and Brata embrace Ken's shoulders on the right and left sides. He led them to sit on the sofa. The two women who both shed tears were slowly walking along the guidance of Alvin and Brata on Ken's boat.
"You didn't tell me," upset Lova hit Ken in the chest. The girl wiped her tears.
"Yes. You didn't tell Mommy either." Alana hit Ken.
"When have you been in this house?" asked Brata firmly.
"Since noon this afternoon, sir" replied Ken. He remained in his stance, calling Brats as Father.
Everyone is confused. "We didn't see you come in" Brata continued.
"Yes. Me too" said Alvin.
"Mommy and Lova don't either!" alana Sahut.
"You're in cahoots with security, Ken?" ask Lova.
Ken shakes.
"Then why didn't anyone report your return?" ask Brata.
"Because I was willing to climb the wall to surprise you all." Ken said with a proud tone.
"I quietly went into the room and waited for the right time to appear."
Alvin and Brata pulled his ear. "Invader, father!" yelled Alvin and Brata nodded in agreement.
"Dwoooh! Please release! You can make my ears break!" Shouted Ken loudly.
Alana pulls Ken's nose. "He's not an intruder, but a thief!"
Lova laughed at Ken who was in pain when he was attacked by the three.
"Lova, help me!"
"No!" lova said firmly but she held back her laughter.
"Pleasee!" Ken pleaded with a miserable voice as his nose was tightly closed as a result of being pulled by Alana.
Lova was stunned because she felt funny hearing Ken's voice. "No!" Lova.
"Come, mother! Make his nose red like a clown."
"Come Vin, come on, Dad! Make his ears wide like an elephant!" Instead of being angry, Lova instead gave encouragement to the three. "He deserves that punishment."
"Geez!" Ken took a deep breath. His nose that was as red as a tomato expanded and deflated in a fast rhythm.
"Oh, God! Lucky for pinocchio who has a long nose without passing a moment like that," he said with a stingy breath.
He also held his ears that had changed color to red and felt hot.
"Pinikio's a wooden man, brother! That brother is a rock!" Alvin replied making them laugh except for Ken.
"Here you go, let's have dinner!" Take Brata to Ken's shoulder.
They all immediately moved to the dining table where there was a variety of dinner menus.
"As a lesson, this indicates security in our homes is easily penetrated by anyone," said Brata later.
"It's not the fault of Dad's security! One of the thieves who have memorized correctly with the ins and outs of this house," said Alvin.
"Ken, you came in this afternoon, means...."
"Yes, the voice you heard earlier, it was me." Ken answered without hesitation.
"I jumped over the fence and accidentally rolled a flower pot."
Ken smiled amusedly. "I know! Your face also looks pale."
***
Ken invites Lova to talk on the balcony of the girl's room. Both are releasing the longing that has been held back.
"I miss you so much, Lov!" Ken clutches Lova's body. He stood behind the girl, inhaling the sweet aroma of the expensive shampoo that the girl was wearing.
"I miss you more" he answered. "I didn't expect it to be this hard without you, Ken!"
"Every problem I have to solve on my own, and fortunately there are no big problems that happen after you leave."
"You'll get used to it and become a much stronger girl" Ken replied.
"Don't go again, Ken!" pinta Lova and Ken didn't answer anything.
Slowly Lova released both of Ken's hands coiled around her stomach. He shifted a little sideways to see a flat face that did not reply to his words.
Both of them remained silent for quite a while. Equally drifting in each other's minds with an empty look ahead.
"How long have you been here, Ken?" asked Lova who was standing next to Ken with her head resting on the man's shoulder. Both of their hands rested on the iron barrier.
Ken took a breath. "Just one week, maybe!" answer Ken.
This is why you can't promise, Ken?
Lova also let out a long breath. "Can't it be much longer?" tanyakanya.
Lova's head felt trembling, it turned out that Ken's shoulder was shaking as he laughed softly.
"I want forever. But, I can't leave the company, Lov."
"Then what about me?" ask Lova. He pulled his head off Ken's shoulder. He looked at the man. "I have to wait here for you? Until when?" ask Lova.
During the long distance relationship, they never discussed this issue. Because both prefer to discuss the activities they go through.
"I'm not gonna let that happen, Lov. I'll take you with me."
"Not this time, but on another occasion."
Lova stared into Ken's bead, then she looked straight ahead again. "I can't go with you."
Ken held both shoulders and made his body turn toward the man. "Why?"
"Say you love me, Lov."
"Say you want to be with me" insisted Ken.
Lova was silent but her tears were dripping slowly. "I want Ken!"
"But my father's company? Who's gonna take care of it?" ask Lova. He is unlikely to leave the company because he is the sole heir to Bratadikara.
Ken was silent for a moment. He let go of his hand on Lova's shoulder. "I also have responsibilities there, Lov."
"Please understand!"
"Over this time, Thomas can take care of everything Ken. And you're willing to be here for Mommy. But please! From now on, stay here for me."
Ken smiled a little. "Yes, but the situation is different, Lov."
"I was and you weren't like this. I used to work for your company. And now I work at my company to make you happy!"
"I want to support you with my sweat drops, with my body tired and I want you to be a lucky woman because you have a husband who has a career and a good name."
Lova walked away from Ken. "I don't want to talk about this anymore, Ken. If we stick to each other's stand, then there'll be no way out."
"I'm not leaving dad's company, no matter what."
Ken rubbed his face rough. The shadow of how beautiful the week he will go through with this family is gone already. Just a few hours with Lova, they had a fight.
The difference of opinion that he thinks will be long-tailed. Facing Brata is certain, plus Mommy.
Ken took a breath. He went into Lova's room and saw the girl covered her whole body in a blanket. Ken kept walking out of the room and closed the door.
Lova opened the blanket shortly after hearing Ken close the door of her room. Her tears have already dripped. Six months awaited Ken's return, but they were at odds like this.
*Am I wrong to want to stay here for Dad? I can't let you go back to work at a young age.
Fathering...
The Mother...
I should how? Come with Ken and leave you here or stay here but I have to be willing to lose him*?
I love you, Ken. Please give up for me...
