We've Been Matchmade

We've Been Matchmade
Be late

This is the first day as a student after passing through a series of ospek which is quite draining of energy. Just about to enter the classroom, suddenly someone greeted me.

"Dihya, right?" said. A woman wearing a pink shirt with a matching hijab in a jeans skirt.

"Yes." I said.

"I'm Funny. One class with you. You know, I've been watching you since the beginning of ospek. Hopefully in the future we can be friends" he said. Then ran away leaving me while waving his hand.

Lucy's? The name is not foreign. He was mentioned several times during the introduction of new students by lecturers and seniors. This child is considered special because it has a high level of intelligence. I wish I could learn so much from him that I could surpass him.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, I waited for Dinda near her faculty. We made a promise to meet today. The reason was that he wanted to deliver Umi's custody, but other than that there was another reason because I missed wanting to meet her.

I knew we should have kept our distance because our relationship was not halal. But I can't deny that I've fallen in love with Dinda and if I don't see her for a day, it's already excruciating. Though Umi has said that I take care of myself first, do not want to be plunged by the devil. Even though we have been betrothed, we are not valid before God.

It was past fifteen minutes of the promise we made, but Dinda has not been seen to date. I became restless. Turning back and forth while looking towards the faculty gate, perhaps Dinda did not see my whereabouts.

"Devil!" someone called me, but not Dinda, but Lucy. He's catching. "What are you doing here? Already know yet, in the building next door there are upperclassmen who are sharing free diktat" he said.

"Oh yeah?" hearing free diktat made me immediately misfocus, given the high price of diktat and I had the desire not to charge all tuition fees to my parents. Although an only child, but I realize that Umi and Abah are no longer young. Umrah business as the only source of income is also not as developed as before. That's why I have to try to save money and be observant to find scholarship opportunities.

Lucy took me to the next building. Incidentally there are no rivals because this info is only in limited circles so that me and Lucy can halve the results of sister grants

that class. This is more than enough for the first semester. I was so happy to imagine that there was no need to spend enough money to buy new dictators.

In addition, Lucy also invited me to work part-time at the campus health clinic as a service officer to check tension, blood sugar and the like. Although the salary is not too big but quite helpful in my opinion. That's why I accepted the offer directly.

"Thank you, Lucy, because of you, I was able to get all this. I owe you." I said.

"Hmmm, make no mistake Dihya, it's not free." she smiled. "Practice me lunch." he asked, pointing to the meatball stall that happened to be a bit empty which was not far from the clinic.

"OKAY. If you only buy meatballs, now it doesn't matter. I still have enough money, no need to wait for payday!" say

We're heading to the meatball stall. Ordering two bowls of meatballs and two glasses of iced tea.

During the meal, we talked a lot. From that conversation I knew who Lucy really was. He comes from a family, his father and mother a professor. Now he is working abroad. Lucy has two older sisters who are also doctors continuing her education in Malaysia and Singapore while devoting themselves to private hospitals there.

"Hahaha, that's all the luck I have, Dihya. I am also grateful to be born as the son of my father and mother, as well as being the younger brother of my brothers and sisters to get this fortune." he revealed the ease with which he was made a part of his family. He felt he might not get all of it if it was not part of them. But according to my judgment, what Lucy achieved was because of her efforts as well. Ever since I knew him, I've always noticed how persistent he is. Always try without relying on the big names of his parents.

We talked for almost an hour. I forgot my promise to Dinda. In fact, even when he called I ignored him because I thought it was just a call that didn't really matter.

I only realized when I was separated from Lucy. He's going back to the clinic while I'm going to the parking lot to get my bike.

I was afraid that Dinda would wait too long, so she would run as fast as possible to the place where We promised. And sure enough, that girl Masin was there with a moody face. When he saw me he looked relieved.

"Sorry, I went to the clinic first, then ate meatballs so ..." Not finished talking, Dinda immediately cut. His calm-looking face turned sullen.

"Eat meatballs? Oh so I waited an hour here turns out you ate meatballs. How much you Dihya. If you don't want to see anything, just answer my phone or reply to my message!" said Dinda in a slightly high tone.

"What the hell is being so angry. I'm sorry, who told you to come fifteen minutes late from the time we promised. You don't call or text!" I returned the favor by blaming Dinda. If he's not late maybe I won't go with Lucy to the next building, don't continue eating meatballs either.

"I'm late because of you. After all, fifteen minutes you won't accept, while I've waited here for you alone for almost an hour!" Dinda still doesn't accept it.

"Why me?" I looked at him confused.

"Yes, because of you. I have to face Amira first. He's a lot about you so I can't come on time. I was ready half an hour before the deal. So all this is because of you!"

"Lho, Amira .. Why is he in your school?"

"He's in class with me. Already been? What else do you want to ask about Amira?"

"What the hell are you?"

"Tuh, Amira seems like there's something about you because she's so intense about you."

"Don't think of just anyone, Din,"

"I speak in reality. He seems to like you!"

"Oh,"

"Devil!" Dinda was getting upset, he screamed a little and then he asked for Umi's luggage, after being able to, Dinda was about to rush away, when I held it, he dodged, showing a annoying attitude.
