TRIBAL SABUNG

TRIBAL SABUNG
Chapters. 30 - Reunion -

The reception event for new students of the Academy of the West Indonesia Region, was held on a clear morning. Children wear white shirts with blue dongker subordinates. In their pocket there is a symbol of the academy in the form of a triangle and in the middle there is the letter WIB.

The children entered regularly into a very large and spacious school hall. The building looked like a silver-colored egg shell from the outside. Out of the 400 entrance examination participants, the academy only accepted 250 participants. And from the many new children, Sky managed to become the representative of the new students to make a speech.

The sky breathed a rough breath, standing in line with a nervous feeling mixed with pleasure. Ivano stood behind him, holding back laughter at the sight of the young master and his sidekick agitated, like a hot worm.

“Next is a welcome word from the Headmaster, Mr Benjamin Saidi.”

Hearing that familiar name, Heaven raised its head. The blue bead is perfectly rounded, looking at a figure that can only be seen on television. He is Benjamin Saidi, champion of the Betawi tribe, as well as the winner of the World Tribal Cup championship three years ago.

A man in his mid-thirties, his hair was curly black with a friendly smile.

“..., everything is an aspect of the meeting. After you guys successfully passed the strict entrance exam.”

God, the sky's trying to wake her up. He had unknowingly ignored nearly half the contents of the headmaster's speech. It was all because he was too late in admiration to see the figure of his idol.

“...., learning is indeed a must. But building relationships with friends and enjoying school is no less important. Therefore, hopefully the West Indonesia Region Academy will be a place, where what you hope you can get here.”

Clapping rang out after the speech from the headmaster ended. The sky became one of the many disciples clapping their hands violently. Ivano almost wanted to stop his friend.

“New student representatives, Sky Sanjaya.”

“Good!”

The sky immediately went out of line as soon as his name was called. Ivano looked at his friend's back with pride. His bead accidentally saw Malik's figure, looking annoyed and jealous towards the Sky. Makes the ambon teen grin, feeling satisfied.

Arriving in front of the headmaster, for a moment the sky seemed to forget how to breathe. The figure of Benjamin looks more sparkling when their distance is only two tiles adrift. The blue-eyed teenager gulped nervously, then opened the paper containing the prepared speech.

“Together with the warmth of the sunshine this morning, we 250 students stood at the entrance ceremony of the West Indonesia Regional Academy. I represent the class would like to thank you all for the wonderful ceremony today. Our hearts today are filled with hope and fear.”

“But more than that feeling, I feel blessed to be able to enter a school that values freedom, independence, and self-determination. And last but not least, to the teachers and seniors. We as new students really expect the guidance and supervision of you all.

The sound of applause for the second time this morning was heard. The sky managed to bring the speech as a representative of the new disciple well. Unstructured, and no small mistakes. The sky breathed a sigh of relief and saluted Benjamin before descending from the podium.

“Good work, Young Master.” Ivano threw a small ledge.

“Thank you, Adjudan.” and reply Sky with a big smile.

After finishing the new disciple ceremony, the teachers immediately guided the students towards their respective classes. Sky and Ivano headed to the second floor of the northwestern building. They immediately took their place at the third table from the front. And it turns out, their luck was a little tested, because Malik Waruk was also in the same class.

Malik entered the class with confident steps, his smile stayed awake and occasionally greeting. Ivano sat beside the Sky, staring at the thick-browed teenager with raised eyebrows. Looks like there's something different with Malik, like he's more calm?

“Could he be embarrassed, because he only ranks two?” Ivano asked himself more, but the sky chimed.

“Or does he not want to find because of you, who is a Champion?”

“Seng possible, flying hours ale more than beta.”

Sky chuckles softly, “You know this is not about that.”

“Quickly!” Ivano poked his shoulder no matter what.

After the class was almost full, a child came last. She is a teenage girl with brownish black hair, long hair, wearing a black bandana covering her forehead. Highlight his eyes were sharp and calculating, circling through the room before stopping right at the third table from the front.

Ivano first noticed the gaze of the teenager. He stared back fiercely, as if to tell that Ivano did not hesitate to start a fight, regardless of whether he was a woman or a man. But as if not intimidated, the girl stepped closer and closer towards Heaven and Ivano.

“Hey, you're the scholarship boy, aren't you?” but his steps stopped, hindered by a dark-skinned teenage boy.

“Side,” the sound is low, and flat.

“You are also ranked third. There are few tips and tricks for us?” Unfortunately, the boy did not leave. He called his friends and surrounded the girl.

The originally bright classroom atmosphere, instantly turned tense. Some children whispered, pushed each other, tried to find someone who would stop the three children. Malik watched from a distance, he did not want to interfere, nor get in touch with the girl. But considering her image was shattered on the day of the entrance exam, she finally decided to help.

“Hey, you guys stop–”

Unfortunately, the girl did not need Malik's help.

Brak's voice! it was heard from the body of the teenager slammed onto the floor. The girl exhaled an annoyed breath, pulling back her fist. The whole child was shocked, watching a small fight happen on the first day of school.

“I know you're stupid, but it turns out you're deaf too.”

“What did you say?!” the child who was beaten shouted furiously.

“True I said, you're deaf. I told you to step aside, still get in the way!” Without any fear, the girl relaxed.

The teenage boy's face was already as red as a boiled crab. Aided by his two friends, he stood up, about to avenge the blow of the girl in front of him before a voice stopped him.

“How many times, Salsa tea says. Not all problems are solved with boxing.”

The entire child turned to look towards the new vice disciple. The sky stood up with a wide smile, he immediately walked over and hugged the girl. Ivano almost dropped his jaw, so surprised.

“Old no see, Yatna!”

The girl smiled warmly, a pair of glittering brown beads held back the cries from the moment she set foot in this classroom.

“Nice to see you again, Sky!”

Three teenagers who are looking for trouble with Yatna retreat. They do not want to be enemies of the heir of the Nusantara Union. Some children were busy whispering to each other, wondering about the relationship between Heaven and Yatna. And Malik, the teenager sat back down, watching them both closely.

“So how are you?” The sky asked impatiently.

The sky immediately invited Yatna to sit with him, he even had the heart to kick Ivano to give his place. The ambon teen snorted in annoyance, but according to and moved to sit back.

“Good, and better yet because we finally met!”

The blue-eyed teenager smiled widely, but a second later her look turned mellow. There are many things Heaven wants to tell us. But his mind was still keeping one question awake all this time.

“Why don't you send letters anymore?”

A moment of silence, even Ivano chose to stay away and busy himself. The conversation between the two of them will go deeper. Yatna himself did not immediately answer, like trying to string words. Before he even sighed softly and stared straight at the blue bead.

“There's been a lot of things going on since I was adopted. That's why I can't send a letter, do you want to forgive your friend?”

“True, you were adopted with Nyoman. Then why did the kids say you didn't have parents?”

“That problem...,” Yatna bit her lower lip, not knowing what to say. “Can we not discuss it? I'm not ready for the story.”

The sky stared fixedly at the figure of his childhood friend first. The jolly girl, and that little tomboy, now grew up not much different than before. It's just that the emptiness of three years of not meeting remains felt. There's a secret, there's a story Yatna doesn't want to tell her.

“Alright, so you managed to raise the Blood Tribe?” The sky changed the subject.

“Of course, otherwise I may not be accepted.” Finally the girl smiled back.

And that was more than enough for the heavens.
