Shortly thereafter, flames began to rise inside the city. Some houses seem to be on fire. The residents also seemed to start panicking and the situation became chaotic. Not a few citizens were running on the streets to escape the battle between the Arcdux warriors and the mercenaries of the city guards.
"Are you okay, Fla?" Livia immediately rushed towards Fla as the young man entered the room where the slaves were hiding.
"I'm fine" said Fla returning Livia's embrace.
"What's going on outside? It sounds awful" Livia said later.
"The Arcdux warriors have already begun to enter the city. Now is the time for us to go" said Fla, looking at the surrounding environment.
The room, which looked like a barn, was full of nearly 20 people. There are about 30 other people in the room. And some are hiding outside.
They used an unused building from a blacksmith's workshop that was converted as a place to dispose of unused equipment, at the west end not too far from the west side sluice.
According to James, a total of about 70 people were willing to take part in the escape. They had all been preparing in that place since their night break time had begun.
But suddenly James comes with Giills in a hurry to Fla.
"There are twenty guard soldiers heading to this place" James said later.
"How did the guards know about this place?"
"There must be a traitor among us?" say Gills later.
"Damn it, but we have to stick to the plan" Fla said later.
"Well, inevitably there must be some of us who stand in the way of those guards and who will lead others to the west floodgates" James gave a solution.
"True, don't want to. We've come this far" Fla seemed to agree.
"Fla you have to go, because only you know who to connect with when outside the walls, let us hold them" James said later.
"True" said Gills agreed.
"But?" I heard a rejection from Fla.
"There's no more time to think, we have to do it immediately" replied James who seemed not to want to dance the rejection of Fla.
Fla looked at James and then looked at the group of slaves in the room. Then looked at the face of Livia who looked worried and worried.
Right now he has to think logically. His first priority was to get those slaves and Livia out of the city.
Then Fla looked at James and nodded, "Well then, but still you guys should catch up, I'll wait for you behind the wall" he said later.
"I'll catch up" James replied raising his thumb.
-
Immediately Fla began directing the slaves to move towards the west floodgates, with the help of three men who were not in James' group to block the guards.
Parents, women, children, everything was running in an orderly fashion amid the panic of the city. Passing through narrow passages between dirty and dark buildings avoids the main road.
Meanwhile outside the city walls, Val seemed to wait and secure the situation. Lily was on the same job but secretly in the city.
And upon arrival at the west floodgates, the guards had already appeared to be lying helpless, It was because of Lily who blew them away.
"Miss Lily" said Fla as soon as she saw Lily's approaching figure.
Some of the slaves were surprised to find a Yllgarian in that place.
"Val is waiting behind the wall, immediately start out" Lily said later.
"Well" said Fla who then ordered the others to take turns out through the muddy-looking floodgates. Smoke still enveloped, although now the fire in the hillside forest had begun to extinguish.
-
When he got outside, Val was waiting. The slaves were again surprised to find an Elf behind the floodgates.
"Master Val" said Fla approaching Val's figure standing not far from the moat.
"After this we will pass through the forest around the slopes to be safe from the soldiers and guards. We have prepared the route" Val explained when it appeared that no one had come out of the trench anymore.
"I understand Mr. Val, but can we wait a little longer. My friend is still left behind" Fla pinta later.
"Alright, but it's better that the others enter the forest immediately to be safer" Val said later.
"Well Mr. Val" said Fla, who then looked at Livia, "Please invite the others to follow Mr. Val, I'll wait for James first"
"alright. Be careful, I'll be waiting for you" said Livia.
-
Before long it seemed that some people had come out of the moat on the western wall when the other slaves had already completely entered the forest. It looks like James is one of them.
Soon Fla ran up to him."You succeeded James" he said in a relieved tone.
"Yes, but not everyone succeeds" James said, staring at only fifteen people who managed to escape the twenty-five who had come to the head.
Fla's feelings seemed out of place. He wanted to be angry and cry, but at the same time he felt relieved and grateful to see James back.
"Alright then we have to hurry" said Fla then immediately invite the others into the forest.
They left the city through a forest path turning to the south side. Only about 50 people were seen following Fla on the path in the forest.
After exiting the forest path, there were eight carriages pulled by a horse, each of which stopped at the mouth of the forest. In the car there are food and clothing for approximately 100 people.
Seeing this the slaves were unceasingly grateful towards Lily and Val.
"It wasn't us who gave this to you guys, so there's no need to thank us" Lily said later.
"Where did Mr Nata get all this?" Fla looked curious.
"He asked Arcdux Lugwin for payment for the help you gave him" Val explained.
"How do we thank you all?" said Fla who felt very lucky and grateful for all the things that everyone in Val and Lily's entourage had done for him.
"Don't thank me first, our journey is still long" Lily replied later.
