26. Ignus Estate

The day after Pharos' forces occupied Varun, the mateus and family visited Pharos with Amithy. To discuss at once the issue of the territorial control of the Ignus Estate of the Urbar kingdom.

Mateus, his family, his deputy Samuel, and his servants who had just entered the land of Pharos, seemed amazed to see the things that were in the land. Although they had just arrived in the southern region, they had not yet reached the Central Kpta. They look amazed at everything they see. Starting from the quality of building materials, the arrangement of roads, elevator pulleys, iron chariots without horses, especially steam trains.

"Oh, so this is the tool used to cross this dead land? It was never imagined by me to be this big and sturdy" said mateus as he watched the steam train. "Is this really not using magic, brother?" He added that it was still difficult to believe the explanation given by Amithy before.

They seemed to enjoy their journey with the steam, from the southern region to the city of Central. Eureka's daughter Mateus was excited as they penetrated the hill and crossed the Star Alcove.

"Are you really at war?" Mateus said as they arrived in the city of Central. That's because the city is so alive. Daily activities are going on as usual. Unlike the city of Varun, where the residents looked frightened and almost all activity stopped when the war occurred.

"That is because the war was far from the territory of the inhabitants" replied Amithy who led Matthew's entourage to a smaller iron chariot, especially for use in the city.

Lucia seemed to be waiting in front of her house when the iron chariots entered the grounds of her residence.

"Yes, I like it a lot. There are a lot of kids in town too. They are learning and playing" the little girl continued.

"Don't you want to play with them?"

"I only saw it from inside the iron chariot" Eureka replied that looked a little sad.

"Oh, so. How about I introduce them to you tomorrow? Do you want to?" Lucia looks to be entertaining. Eureka just nodded and then smiled again.

"Said Aunt Amithy here there's a waterfall?"

"Oh, that's right. I'll take you to see that waterfall tomorrow too"

"really? It's cool!"

"It's really amazing your city, Luc. Uh, not just this city, but this whole land" Mateus said as they were in the living room after finishing lunch. "I've heard a lot of the greatness of this land from the merchants. But I didn't think it would be this amazing outfit" he added later.

"Thank you for the compliment uncle" Lucia replied.

In addition to Matthew and Lucia, there are also Nata, Amithy, Orland, and Samuel. While Matthew's wife and children were traveling around the city accompanied by Dirk's wife and children.

"And after seeing the place where the children studied in the city, as well as the things they learned, I think I will let Eureka learn in this place" added Mateus.

"Thank God if that's the case. Because I really wanted Eureka to have at least the same education as the children in this region" Lucia was relieved to hear mateus' decision. It was because he really wanted the girl he already regarded as his younger sister to enjoy the facilities in this territory.

"Also it seems Zanda also likes this city" added Msteus again.

"Yes, Zanda wasn't the first. Many wives from northern nobles who come here end up moving and living in this region" Amithy said. Which was met with laughter by others.

"Then what do you want to talk to me about. About the troops who occupied Varun?" Mateus then opened the real topic.

"You mean you'll withdraw your troops from Varun and Xin if the kingdom is willing to comply with your request? Why are you doing this?" Mateus did not understand Lucia's plan which he thought was very strange.

"It shows goodwill, that we want to make peace and do not want to continue this war" Lucia replied.

"Then what did you ask for instead? Asking the kingdom to no longer invade your territory? It's not an attempt to show assertiveness, Luc" Mateus still doesn't understand Lucia's plan. Then he looked at Nata for help explaining the meaning of the strange plan.

"Oh, so you're basically asking Tyrion to stand trial?" Mateus made sure again.

"True" Lucia answered quickly.

"That means you're going to create a new turmoil in this recently calm southern land" Mateus later said.

"I mean uncle?" This time Lucia the one who changed did not understand Mateus's intentions.

While Mateus himself seemed confused why Lucia did not understand about it. Then he looked at Nata as if he were asking. While Nata was just silent while shaking little. Gesticulating for Mateus to stop talking about it.

"What's the meaning of the new turmoil, uncle?" Lucia asked again to be sure. His face looks troubled.

While Nata shook his head faster as Mateus began to speak.

"You will create a power vacuum in the southern mainland in general, and the territory of the Urbar kingdom in particular" Mateus said, ignoring Nata's gesture. "Because you took the power and the person who had the most influence in the entire Urbar kingdom" he continued.

"This could lead to a war between the rulers of the Estate in the kingdom of Urbar to fight over the territory and power is empty, or it could be a war three kingdoms flared back, again, since neither side had the power to outperform the other" Mateus continued his explanation.

Lucia looked confused and could not believe the explanation from Matthew. He never knew it would happen in the south if he removed Tyrion from the Urbar kingdom.

Then Lucia looked towards Nata. "Is it going to be like that, Nat?"

Nata nodded. "I'm not telling you this, because surely you will act and be very troublesome" he said later.

"Whatchu mean? Why don't you tell me something this big, Nat?" Lucia sounded unacceptable.

"Yes because it has nothing to do with our territory" Nata replied later. "That's their own business" he added.

"Their previous war was indeed their own business, because there was no interference from us. But now it's another, Nat. It's because of the actions we did" Lucia tried to refute Nata's words.

"Those who attacked us, princess. That's one of the reasons why I didn't tell you this. Because you will behave like this" Nata replied in a tone that sounded a little upset. "Unless you want to turn their territory into your territory. Then I will tell you everything along with how to avoid it" continued Nata.

Everyone in the place seemed silent at the tension between Nata and Lucia. Not even Matthew dared to interrupt or speak at all.

"Do you want to rule the territory of the Urbar kingdom, princess? Is that your wish?" Nata was challenging Lucia with that question.

Lucia was silent. He could not answer Nata's question. His mind is in turmoil.

Nata took a deep breath looking at Lucia who was just speechless. "I thought" he said later.

The next day Mateus's entourage went around looking at the entire region on Pharos' land. Then Mateus talked a lot with Orland and Madron about facilities and regulations. Also took the time to talk to Dirk to discuss trading issues.

"I think the rules and facilities in your place are higher in level and quality than any kingdom in the world" Mateus spoke as he and Lucia returned to the meeting room at Lucia's residence after lunch.

"Uncle exaggerates too much" Lucia replied.

"I'm sorry yesterday I made you feel so hard" Mateus said.

"It's not your fault, uncle. It's just because I can't even think of adulthood yet" Lucia replied in a serious tone.

"And after discussing with Zanda and Samuel, I felt that being part of your territory would promise a much brighter future for our region and our people. Compared to being part of the Urbar kingdom" said Mateus later.

"I mean uncle?"

"Estat Ignus wants to join the land of Pharos, Luc. Did you accept it?" Mateus asked frankly.

"After uncle. Did uncle mean it? If it's about technology to build or science for the residents, uncle just ask for it. I'll give it my all" Lucia replied.

"No. I want to be part of the land of Pharos. You know, sooner or later the southern plains will be volatile. And the quickest and easiest way to survive it is to be part of a region of great power" Mateus seemed to have no small talk in explaining his reasoning to Lucia.

"But that means uncle's position and rights as Dux will be lost. Because the rule of this region negates the special treatment of nobles or leaders of the Estate as in the kingdom of Urbar. And it's very likely that Ignus will be a surname" Lucia said.

"I've discussed this rule with Mr. Orland this early. And we Ignus family can take it. I was ready not to hold the highest power in my territory. The origin of the region remains safe from turmoil, and gratitude can develop for the better" Mateus looks to have rounded up his decision.

Lucia fell silent. He still looks doubtful. "In that case, we will talk about this again with all the lawmakers" he said later.

"Thank you, Luc" Mateus looked a little relieved.
