Shin opened his eyes slowly. The two soldiers were no longer by his side.
The green color of the leaves became the first thing that greeted his eyes. Colors that look so foreign but also beautiful to look at. Shin had never felt this happy seeing a color other than white.
"Awassssss!!! Please move!!!"
Shin's body turned towards the sound of screaming.
On top of the hill right where Shin was standing, a man was chasing a wagon that was speeding towards him.
Without feeling panicked. Shin tried to stop the speed of the wagon with both hands, hoping that there would be mana coming out but it failed.
Shin did not expect the mana to decrease much after he fell asleep.
Even worse, behind Shin was a deep enough abyss. How'this? Should he end up like this?
Will he be pushed by the cart into the abyss the first time he sets foot on earth? Even before Shin had a chance to meet one of the demons.
After this Shin had to be satisfied if he became the laughingstock of the entire sky.
Shin could only cover himself with both arms. He closed his eyes and turned his face away. Feel comfortable with what will happen.
BRACKET.
"At least try to avoid." The heavy sound of someone made Shin open both his eyes.
Look up. Shin saw someone helping him hold the wagon with one hand.
The man smiled. With a body a few inches higher than him. The man slightly lowered his head as he looked towards Shin.
"Thank you, thank you, sir. You really helped me." The middle-aged man with a putty body ran down the hill while being shoveled.
The white-moustached man stared softly at the two people in front of him who had survived. Not only that, even his favorite cart is still intact and not destroyed.
He almost cried and did not know what to say to his wife when he returned home.
It could be he who cooked the wife for dinner if until the only tool of their fortune seeker destroyed.
Though the wife never forgets to remind to block the wheel of the cart if the husband will leave the wagon somewhere. But what power, his age is no longer young.
Especially if the car was not only destroyed, but also hurt others. Obviously he wouldn't dare go home tonight.
"I have to thank you, really thank you. Are you both okay?"
Shin nodded at the man who owned the cart. Not forgetting to smile kindly signifies that she is fine.
Shin saw the man next to him had disappeared. His eyes involuntarily searched for the whereabouts of the man. No he didn't leave. It turned out that the man was pulling the cart over to a flatter surface.
How shocked Shin saw the man move the wagon so easily. Does a wooden cart look that light? As he remembered, he was holding a fairly heavy wagon.
"Are these two masters a swordsman?" ask the owner of the car.
The man nodded with a smile, "i was hunting for dinner and happened to pass this hill."
Shin's eyes were directed towards the arrow on the man's shoulder. The man's left hand was holding his bow. It was only fitting that he had only held the wagon back with just one hand.
If this man could hold the wagon with one hand, wouldn't Shin's strength now be nothing more than an ordinary human?
Shin let out a heavy breath. It seemed like Shin had no hope of returning to the sky.
"As my apology and gratitude, if you don't mind please stop by my hut in the village."
The old man's face was full of pleading. Who would refuse a request with such a face.
Actually Shin would laugh to see the face of the owner of the cart, but with all his might he could bear. He didn't think it turned out that humans were so witty.
"It is with great pleasure that we will accept your kind offer if it is not troublesome, "the man replied. The man embraced Shin kindly.
Shin didn't mind his embrace, just wasn't this too much? They don't even know each other's names.
In the end Shin just let. At least thanks to this man he can blend in with humans faster without having to think how to get started.
"No, of course I don't mind at all. The two of you have helped me, it would be impolite to let the gentlemen leave just like that."
"Just call me Khun and my friend... " Khun paused his sentence staring at Shin without letting go of his embrace.
"Shen, just call me Shen."
I don't know why Shin disguised his name. What is he afraid of?I don't know. He only remembered someone when the middle-aged man asked his name.
"You can call me Aphoi."
Aphoi pamit picked up his car which was still on the hill, before installing and driving the cart to return to the village.
Arriving at the village, Shin's eyes were pampered by the new scenery. Many people were so friendly, greeting each other and very crowded.
They said they talked, laughed, got angry and there was even a child crying. Of course it never happened in the sky.
"It's a lot, right?"
Shin turned his gaze to Khun as the man asked.
Isn't this weird? Shin had never met Khun, but why did Shin feel they looked so familiar.
Even Khun did not hesitate to talk informally to him. Shin also did not feel any objection at all when Khun did.
"What did they exchange for fruits?"
"Which one?" Khun was approaching Shin. Focusing his eyes on the direction Shin's hand pointed.
"Ohh, that's silver. They are buying and selling precious metals such as gold, silver and bronze" Khun explained.
Shin only nodded at Khun's explanation, while the man just kept smiling towards Shin.
Shin was confused. What Khun was actually laughing at from him. Is there anything strange about his appearance?
Shin had not had time to ask, Aphoi's voice made Shin distracted.
"You can come down, sir. My hut is very simple but I hope to be able to entertain the gentlemen well. Do you have any food you don't like?"
Khun shook his head, "I eat anything."
"I'm not a picky about food either."
"What a noble, please sit down. I'll have my wife prepare dinner soon."
The two of them nodded while sitting in the front room. The largest room in the house.
Aphoi's wife looked to peek at them for a while before returning into the kitchen with a happy smile.
Shin didn't quite understand why the woman had behaved like that.
"He did it because you're handsome" Khun chirped.
Shin looked at Khun in surprise. How could this person next to him know what Shin was thinking? While the one being stared at was just a friendly smile like before.
"Is there something on my face?"
"You keep smiling at me because I'm handsome?" asked Shin not understanding.
"Not really. I'm just amused."
"Comused because?"
"Don't you find it fun here? I just get bored easily and it's so fun."
Shin looked at Khun not more confused by his explanation. Is he stupid or is Khun's words difficult to understand? Why is this guy so confusing.
"Evening is ready, gentlemen. Please come inside."
Aphoi's wife greeted them happily. Never had he entertained a guest so handsome as the two.
He cooked all the food in their house. No matter the husband who continues to be clear in order to leave some for the future.
"The two of you are really very handsome? Are these gentlemen warriors?"
Khun smiled, he chewed the food in his mouth while nodding in response.
The woman looked at Khun in surprise. He did not expect to meet a warrior in his village.
He had just realized, the likely reason this area was still safe from the undead attack was the existence of the two of them.
A warrior is a chosen man. They can fly and practice which energy is in them.
It was a few hundred years ago. Humans began to develop and figure out a way to fight the undead.
Even major countries already have colleges that help select people to learn and develop mana energy.
Swordsmen are highly respected by the residents because it is very meritorious for them. Of course who wants to end up being eaten by the undead and ghosts.
To make the village peaceful and safe. There should be at least a few warriors living in a village.
Unfortunately, this village has not had a warrior for a long time. Even so, this village is quite safe to live in. But not a few also the villagers who moved because they did not want to take the risk.
"Have you been sterilizing the area here for a long time?" ask Aphoi's wife in curiosity.
"No, I just happened to pass by while hunting dinner."
The husband-wife nodded in understanding.
"Our village is so peaceful. Looks like our area isn't a lot of undead roaming around, is it?" ask Aphoi's wife to make sure. Because both of his guests should know better than he does.
"Not really. I think this village is inhabited by a demon that they cannot fight. So, that's the reason that makes all the undead dare not approach."
"In this village there are demons?" It was Shin's turn to ask.
The couple also felt shocked and frightened.
"Calm down, the demon just stayed and won't bother you. Isn't that good, after all this village doesn't have a warrior."
"But if it could happen. I mean, can we trust a demon?"
"The expression never believe in the devil is true, but you can believe in this one. I've met him and he just wants to stay, nothing more. "
They finally ate dinner in silence. It seems that after this the two couples will decide to move on. How can they trust a demon? Even the creature was more terrifying than a mindless undead.
...ooo...
After exiting the couple's second house, Shin decided to return to the forest. If what Khun said was true, then he would have to meet that demon.
Shin did not really understand about demons, but when he saw the frightened reactions of the two couples, of course they would not be easy to handle.
Shin glanced at the whistling Khun while walking next to him. Since coming out of the village Khun just keep following him.
Actually Shin didn't mind. Of course he is very helped by the people who understand about the devil.
It was just that Shin felt that there was something strange about Khun. From the beginning Khun stopped the wagon, Shin thought if an ordinary human could hold it with one hand?
Has man evolved to be strong or has he only become very weak?
"What are you thinking in your head?" ask Khun in the end.
"Are you following me or is it our same path?"
"Am I going to be expelled?"
Shin shook his head quickly. How could he drive away the person who had helped him.
"Excreate from where? Even this forest is not mine."
Khun smiled, his hand carrying a lantern he pointed at the large tree in front of him.
"Want a break here? I don't think this place is bad."
Shin looked at the tree in front of him. Its height can make them avoid wild animals and the number of branches makes it easier for them to sleep.
Without waiting for a response from Shin, Khun had already flown up the tree shrewdly leaving Shin stunned. Really, is it true that ordinary people can do that?
Khun swiftly put two strings up there.
"Don't want to go up?"
Shin finally flew up next to Khun and occupied one of the ropes already tied.
"Where did you learn all this?"
"Hmm? Oh, I was taught by my teacher the first time I went hunting at night. Sleeping in a leash isn't so bad, do you mind?"
"Not about rope, I mean learning to climb like that. "
"Jump you mean?"
Jump off? How can flying be likened to jumping?
"I learned from college."
"Governor? What are they teaching? Do they also teach you how to develop which energy?"
Khun.
Shin looked at Khun in disbelief. It's been 700 years. Who would have thought that humans have grown so much.
Then what is the difference between gods and humans, if humans only already have the ability like a god?
"Are you not resting?" asked Khun because Shin was still sitting, not lying down immediately.
Actually there are still many things that Shin wants to ask Khun about college and of course about the devil.
It seems Khun is a smart college student. He must have been the disciple that his friends had always relied on.
"Congratulations..."
