Ch.4 - Basic Magic

"The Corruption... The second disaster of the Five Forecasts of The Divine Apostle Cassandra?" Niel scratched his cheek slowly.

General Aldios nodded in response to Niel, "Well, although he managed to face The Corruption, it remains a mystery how he learned that what Cassandra foretold would really happen in the future. Many have speculated that he came from the future considering he was an Anomaly, some have theorized that he was someone so extraordinary that he could confirm Cassandra's prophecy."

"Anomaly? What other term is that? Argh, there are so many foreign terms that make my head feel like it wants to break!" Enzo clutched his hair back after hearing General Aldios talk. Niel until worried if it continued by Enzo, he would become bald lapse some time.

"Em, how do I explain it... Ah, in short, Anomaly is a nickname to Heroes who do not come from the same world as other Heroes."

General Aldios who saw the confused look of the two young men in front of him again clarified his explanation, "Look, you know very well that the other Heroes who came with you yesterday are people you know, right? Of course that was so, it was because the magic that the Divine Oracle used did work by only capturing those who were in a similar area. It could be that if one of you were not in the location back then, the Divine Oracle would not have brought him to Zendia.

However, there is another rare event. There are several Heroes whose world origins are far different from their peers. For some reason, the magic from the Rite of Summoning attracted those from different locations. They are called Anomaly.

Well, Rhysand is one of the Anomaly in question. That is why it is recorded in one of his works, "Their R'd Fing'r", that one of the reasons why he communicated like nobles in ancient times was because he was affected by the customs of his old world."

"That's very interesting." Said Niel with glowing eyes, ignoring the smoke coming out of his best friend's head.

General Aldios who laughed awkwardly at Enzo's condition finally decided to switch the conversation, "Hmm, what if we just learn how to use magic today? I think you're both quite enthusiastic when it comes to magic."

General Aldios' eardrum nearly broke when he heard the cries of the two young men in front of him. He finally nodded slowly while smiling stiffly after squeezing his ears a few times.

"But before that, we'd better study it at the Royal Training Field."

"Fire Magic: Blazing Rhythm!"

Waves of smoldering red flames suddenly emerged from behind General Aldios' body, darting and creating a wind effect that moved the man's short hair before finally burning away the target board he was targeting.

"COOL!!!" Enzo cried when he witnessed the thing that had just been done by General Aldios. Some of the soldiers who were training also took the opportunity to peek considering General Aldios was someone who was very rare to show his ability inside the Royal Training Field.

Niel who heard the statement of the man in front of her immediately asked, "The magic in Zendia has a level?"

Enzo let out a tired sigh when he found out that Niel's question would lead them to a learning session that would undoubtedly make him sleepy easily.

""That's right, Mr. Niel. Magic is divided into three levels: low level, middle level, and high level. Low-level magic without exception can be used by anyone! Usually this magic is only a simple combat magic or magic that is useful for everyday life.

There is also a middle-level magic. Almost all types of magic of this level are combat magic. But of course quite a lot of that is another kind of magic. This magic can generally be used by Adventurers, Soldiers, and other professions involving magic.

Finally the last, high-level magic. This magic can only be used by someone who has a high affinity of certain elements and an unusually large Mana capacity. For example, light element high-level magic can only be used by people whose light element affinity is high enough and has abundant Mana energy. It's possible that in the future Mr. Enzo will be able to do just that if you continue to practice and expand your Mana Sea."

"If the term is the same as Lazarus, where is the energy needed to cast magic and which Sea is the place where we hold Mana instead, General?"

The red hair of General Aldios who was circulating a gallant aura was suddenly replaced with a tanned black color after he cast a short spell from the magic earlier. Niel and Enzo's mouth opened slightly when they saw this because it was rare to find magic that could change the appearance in Lazarus.

"I'm sure you both have Mana that has been accommodated by the Sea of Mana each of you. Now, imagine the original color of your hair and eyes, then read out the spell. But if you want to wear another color, of course it's okay. Just imagine what color you want and read the magic spell. "

Niel and Enzo nodded their heads to General Aldios before closing their eyes. They then imagine what color they want. Enzo envisions blond hair as before and his original emerald green eyes. While Niel imagined black hair and blue eyes, just like his physique in Lazarus.

Enzo finally opened his eyes first and saw his reflection in a glass filled with water. Enzo now has glowing green eyes and silvery yellow hair. Generals Aldios and Enzo smiled at each other because he succeeded in the first attempt. The two of them then looked at Niel who had opened her eyes to confirm the results of the experiment.

"You didn't change the color of your hair?" Ask Enzo curiously.

"Hm? I changed it?"

Enzo and General Aldios who heard Niel's words only frowned in confusion as they looked at each other. Enzo then looked at Niel once more, "Which changes seems like it's just the color of your eyes, Niel."

"really?" Niel was disappointed. He touched her hair and still saw her white hair. He turned his gaze toward Enzo, "What color is my eye?"

"Blue."

"Ah... It seems like my eyes have changed."

Niel lowered his head and smiled bitterly. Disappointed by his experiments. Enzo and General Aldios who saw Niel's behavior only smiled wryly.

"It's okay, Mr. Niel. If you try again, it will work." General Aldios tried to console Niel. Niel only nodded lethargicly before deciding to try again in his bedroom later.

"Ah, without feeling the time is already noon. You two better change your clothes and go for lunch in the Royal Dining Room." General Aldios reminded them after seeing the wooden clock displayed on the stone wall.

Niel and Enzo bowed to General Aldios before leaving the field. General Aldios looked at the two young men's backs with complicated gazes.

"Em."

Out of nowhere, a person in a black robe covering his entire body suddenly emerged from empty air and knelt before General Aldios after he said a word.

"Hadir, Mr. Aldios. Please give me your orders."

"Give this news to His Majesty the King. Mr. Danniel Arthos has been confirmed not to be an Elementless Hollow because he can use Transformio magic. A Hollow will not be able to change its appearance because they have been confined with their white hair and eyes."

"Good, Sir." The figure with the black robe nodded before it again disappeared from the spot.
