The Part 170
Gitta's body instantly limp. His heart beat violently with his hands shaking while holding a cell phone. Gitta's tears flowed straight into the river, and they washed his cheeks.
"What do you mean?" Gitta's voice shook as she asked.
"Mr Ken passed out at the meeting, Madam. Now, he's been taken to the hospital."
"Hiks, hiks, hiks, Mas Ken." Gitta's crying voice instantly broke.
Gitta hung up the phone call. He immediately wiped his tears and moved out of the room. He immediately called their personal driver and asked him to drive her to the hospital.
Gitta's mind immediately drifted to the bad things that befell her husband. Gitta also recalled that this morning she had not had time to return the love from her husband as usual.
Realizing that, Gitta cried even harder. He cried roaring in the vehicle regretting his actions this morning. Although the driver had tried to calm him down, Gitta's cry grew louder.
It didn't take long for Gitta to get to the hospital. In just about twenty minutes, their car had already entered the hospital area. Still in tears, Gitta ran straight to the IGD. He was sure the husband was there.
Some nurses who had already known Gitta, immediately rushed to catch up with him.
"Where is my husband? Where's Mas Ken?" Shouted Gitta as soon as she got to the IGD door when she saw Emily standing there.
"Mrs Gitta, calm down. Mr. Ken, being examined by a doctor." Emily tries to calm Gitta down.
"Where can I calm down, Em. Mas Ken, huhuhu." Gitta's cry immediately broke. His body went back to limp until it almost slumped. Luckily Emily swiftly caught Gitta's body.
Emily immediately leads Gitta to sit in the waiting room. He also tried to calm Gitta down.
"Why did this happen, Em? Hiks. Mas Ken was fine when he left for the office. Hiks hyks." Gitta was still crying so much in Emily's arms.
"I don't know either, Madam. Mr. Ken felt pain in his stomach. As he stood, he fell unconscious." Emily tried to explain to Gitta.
The cry of Gitta became. She was really worried about her husband.
About thirty minutes later, a doctor came out of the room and met Gitta. Seeing the arrival of the doctor, Gitta immediately stood up to approach the doctor.
"How's Mas Ken doing, Doc? Why did he faint? What's going on, Doc?" Gitta flocked the doctor with a few questions.
"I'll explain, Madam. Can you come to my room?" answer the doctor.
Gitta just nodded and immediately followed the doctor's footsteps into his room accompanied by Emily.
Doctor Robin, who used to work at GC hospital in Jakarta, immediately explained the cause of Ken's stupor.
"Look, Madam. After we did the examination, Mr. Ken had appendicitis. Because of the pain in his stomach, causing Mr. Ken unconscious earlier."
"U-appendix?" Gitta looked surprised after hearing Doctor Robin's explanation.
"Yes, Madam. Has Mr Ken never complained before?"
"Ehm, Mas Ken often complains of stomach pain anyway, Doc. He also never wanted to be checked. And, I think it's because Mas Ken is often late to eat."
"Mr Ken never checked?"
Gitta shook her head. "No. He was very anti-doctor. My husband's afraid of needles, Doc."
Doctor Robin only chuckles briefly before going back to explain the efforts that must be immediately taken to overcome Ken's appendicitis. And, the effort is to perform the operation as soon as possible. Gitta agreed to the doctor's advice. She didn't want anything to happen to her husband.
That very night, it was decided to have an operation for Ken. Gitta already felt a little calm after hearing the doctor's explanation.
Gitta decided not to tell her family first so as not to make them panic. Gitta would tell them after Ken had finished surgery and had regained consciousness. Gitta intended to make a video call at that time.
About an hour later, Ken's operation was complete. However, he has still not been transferred to the treatment room due to having to undergo observation.
By eleven p.m., Ken could only be transferred to the treatment room. Gitta who has prepared all his needs there. He asks the housekeeper to bring him all his needs and Ken during his time in the hospital.
After giving an explanation to Gitta, the doctor and several nurses who helped Ken immediately resigned. Now, only Gitta and Ken live in the treatment room.
Gitta who was still standing next to the husband's gurney immediately sobbed. She was really worried about her husband's situation despite the explanation from the doctor.
Gitta put her face closer to the face of the husband who was still sleeping. She landed a kiss on her husband's face without missing the remaining part.
While landing a kiss on Ken's nose, Ken's eyes suddenly opened. Gitta was surprised to see it.
"Mass? Are you human?"
Ken smiled and in a hoarse voice he said, "You're gonna kiss your nose anyway, Yang? Lips, dong," said Ken, blabbing his lips.
One word for Ken....
