Chapter 23. Making Peace with the Past.

The sun comes shining a new day. I woke up from my sleep with a new smile. Then step out to say Bara, Bang Nusa, and Bang Apoy who sit on the front porch chair of the house.

" Thank you for last night, now the cave knows what to do" said my.

Bang Nusa just said a smile while patting my shoulder. When the day began to go by noon, I said goodbye to Bang Nusa, Bang Apoy and Bara to go home. When I arrived home, I walked in to see my mother in her room.

" Bun." I whispered.

" Yes son ? " answer.

" Bun, I'm sorry about yesterday. I'm khilaf bun " said I while bowing my head.

" Yes, I want to mama sorryin. Mommy is just a message to remember that this is just the world, Mommy knows how sad you are while in Dinda's house. Trust me you're not in Dinda's house. Remember that life is a journey, some are born and some die. One day Mother will leave you too. All you can do is make good memories, finish your job, son." he said.

" Yes mother I understand, Tomorrow I will go traveling mother . I want to achieve my dream. I promise you, I'll finish what you started.

" Mother knows you'd say that. Go to reach your destination, Mommy has prepared your mountain shoes with your carrier for your long journey" said the mother smiling.

I hugged my mother tightly. Then I say goodbye to my mother to go to the coffee shop. Upon arriving at the coffee shop, I slowly walked into the room and ordered my favorite coffee. I enjoyed my coffee while sitting down and remembering when Dinda gave me the jacket I was wearing. Then I got out on my motorcycle to go to my high school. I stood in front of the gate while looking at the students who came out of the gate, looking at the students who were piggybacking like before . Then I took my motorcycle back to Dinda's empty house. When I got there, I stood looking at every side of the dirty house. I stood up with a smile like my mother's message to me. I soon returned with my motorcycle home. When I walked into the warm house I saw my mother cooking my favorite food.

" It will soon be a child, be patient" he said with a smile.

" Yes mother "my answer.

I waited patiently at the dinner table while looking at the side of the house where my first cry was heard. Before long the mother's cooking is ready to serve on the dining table. Mommy and I ate the still warm mother's cooking. After that, we went into each other's rooms. In the room I looked back with a smile on a paper as I expressed love for Dinda.

Then I lay down my body and fell asleep in my warm bed.

When the sun came that's where I was preparing to continue my journey. I hugged my mother, and tears came out with my steps. Mother only smiled as I walked away. I understand what maxut mama. I also took my motorcycle away from home.

Upon arriving home near the waterfall, I put my carrier down and walked straight to the waterfall. There has been Bara and Bang Nusa who supervise Canyoning rides.

" The cave wants to try Canyoning nih, the cave has never tried haha" I said laughing.

Before long I took the harness and put it on my waist. I was given a little direction then I walked down from the cliff ait plunge. I feel free as before.

Our conversation became warm because of the joke that night. Now a guitar that is played Bara becomes its own warmth. We sang together to sing a song by Iwan Fals entitled Ujung Asphalt Pondok Gede which became our favorite song.

It did not feel that the night was late one by one of us went into telling myself outside the terrace that was still awake. This time I thought I was filled with the words I was going to write in my novel. Long enough I was in the solitude of the night with my laptop open until I finally walked in for a break.

The morning has come to shine upon my day that has blossomed again. I sat on the porch while waiting for Bara from the market. Not finished the cigarettes I burned, Bara stopped the bike in front of the house.

Bara just sighed, looking at me who was ready to go. Before long Bang Apoy, Bang Nusa and 3 other friends came out to me. I hugged all my friends and Bara became my last hug. After hugging Bara I remembered with a book I bought while in Jogja with Dinda, I think this book will be suitable for embers.

" This bar has a book for you, hopefully this book can help you "I said while giving you a book.

Bara just nodded in understanding. Before long I let out a long sigh while smiling at them then I got on my motorcycle and took it away from the house near the waterfall.
