14 Memories, Promises and Feelings

The Sunlight shines beautifully in the blue sky when its radiance looks warm and soothing.

The warm morning atmosphere was more beautiful with the appearance of a handsome figure Edward who seemed to shine by his good looks.

Edward was silent as his mind glared away recalling a small memory in the past.

Stella smiled as she talked about her daughter. The woman looked at Edward and showed him a smiling picture of Candy and said, "Young Master, look! My daughter is beautiful, isn't she? I hope that if this serum succeeds and Young Master Edward returns to being Human, I want you to have dinner with our family!"

"Stella, Young Master Edward must be very busy if that were to happen! So how could he possibly have the free time to eat together?"

"Silence Tery!" Stella glared at her husband with a small snort of "My daughter really likes the fairy tale about the Vampire Prince. So, I'm sure he would be very happy if he met Young Master Edward!"

Tery once again wanted to open up his objectionable voice, but he instantly closed his mouth as a result of Stella's eyes staring at him sharply.

Edward smiled softly and nodded softly "Sure, that sounds fun!"

"That's great, then this is a promise!" Stella seemed excited, she again continued "I also hope that in the future Young Master Edward will take good care of Candy when things are unexpected..."

"Stop saying scary words! As long as I'm here nothing will happen!"

"I know that..." Stella nodded in understanding, but she was still not satisfied "This is only if, if we can't be by her side, please take care of our Candy! You're the only powerful Vampire we trust and are different from everything we've ever met!"

Edward was silent for a long time, when he saw a photo of Candy's smiling face, at last he nodded "I understand! I promise I'll take care of her!"

Staring at the beautiful girl sleeping by his side, Edward sighed softly as his memories returned to him the night that both Candy's parents were killed and the promise he made to them.

He promises Stella and Tery that he will protect Candy and make her grow up safe.

But, seeing how everything went whether the Promise he made could he keep?

With this girl by his side, his safety was indeed assured. But the happiness in his heart he could not guarantee.

If both of Candy's parents were still alive, they would definitely hate Edward and address him as shameless!

The two men had worked hard to make the serum. Even no matter what reason they had, they still spent all their time on it. But, not only did Edward do that to them, he also made their daughter spend all her time looking after and loving him.

"A Promise?"

Edward muttered softly as he said the sentence in a satirical tone. He was no longer sure even without that promise Edward could not help but bring Candy by his side.

The promise he made to his parents was just an excuse.

The reason that he could come back again was to see the innocent smile as well as the beautiful eyes of the little girl he met.

Edward awakens from the memories of his past. His silver-colored eyes blinked lightly and turned to look at the slumbering Candy.

"Am I not a coward?" Mocking himself, Edward kissed Candy on the soft forehead before getting out of bed.

With Edward gone, Candy's sleeping figure looked like a princess.

He slept so soundly that he woke up when the Sun was above the blue sky.

Candy blinked lightly, her white fingers rubbing her amber-colored eyes lazily.

Realizing his place, the girl regained consciousness instantly. He tried to get up and move his body. But once again he realized what had happened last night and was unable to move due to the pain under his waist.

A silly smile appeared on Candy's lips as her face became red like a boiled crab.

"What are you thinking?!" The middle-aged woman's voice scoffed as she stared at Candy's caterpillar-like figure under the blanket.

"Oh my God, I told you not to act stupid and implusive! But it seems like you like getting into lion dens" Aunt Jane wasn't angry, she just felt a little worried about their relationship. But what the two men decided, of course, Aunt Jane will support him.

With a long sigh Aunt Jane continued. "I've changed your clothes and cleaned your body! The next time this happens, I will completely strangle you! You should wake up if you feel someone touching you! Don't just be a corpse that continues to be unconscious!"

Candy smiled sweetly when she noticed Aunt Jane's tone that looked rude but full of sincerity. He nodded with a regretful face "Sorry, I will make sure to wake up if something like this happens again!"

With a promise she doesn't know whether she can keep, Candy just tries to convince herself.

After talking to Aunt Jane, she looked around her bed and did not find the figure she was looking for. With an agitated look on her face Candy asked "Auntie, where is Young Master Edward?"

"What are you looking for me for?" Edward's voice rang out as his figure appeared on the side of the bed with his hands folded, he answered Candy's question in place of Aunt Jane.

Seeing this Aunt Jane just smiled a little and left the room.

The smile on Candy's face looked brilliant as she looked at Edward's handsome figure. With a hint of embarrassment he replied "I'm afraid you'll be gone again for a few days like before!"

Edward's heart throbbed amusedly as he looked at the beautiful smile on Candy's lips as well as her two shining eyes. He could not resist the urge to kiss the girl. But, Edward held back and his expression remained the same when he again said "Ah that... I meant to be gone again for a few days! Did you miss me when I left?"

"I missed you! Very homesick! So don't go!"

The corner of Edward's eyes twitched as he looked at the girl before him honestly and bluntly without embarrassment saying the sentence.

He sighed before flicking Candy's forehead slowly "Don't overdo it! Our relationship is still Master and Food!"

"What?" Candy turned away in shock, not accepting that she demanded "Then why did you do that to me last night?"

"What's? I did what?"

Getting a stupid answer from Edward with his face unchanged, Candy's face turns drowned. He pursed his lips spoiledly "You entered**** to me.... and emm...???"

Edward's fingers closed Candy's mouth instantly as a dirty and embarrassing sentence came out of her lips. He looked at the stupid girl before him with a frown on his forehead.

"Well that's enough! Stop that!" Edward's tone of voice was a little cold as he still listened to Candy's indecent thoughts that did not stop.

Candy was slightly startled and speechless immediately lowered her head. He knew that the man before him would certainly not consider their relationship more than Master and Food. It's just that Candy was a little annoyed to say that dirty and embarrassing sentence to make it better.

Edward let out a long sigh as he looked at the girl before him. He had indeed intended to try to open his heart back but he was still a little uneasy.

He was afraid that because of this decision, the girl before him would choose the same path as Austina. Then Edward would still need some time, at least until the serum had actually found a bright spot! It was then that Edward would show his true face without restraint.

"Evening, I just... Hungry..." Edward's tone of voice hung in the air as he looked for an excuse.

The atmosphere became awkward for a moment!

Edward's silver-colored eyes flickered lightly as he realized his speech looked foolish. With a stiff movement her figure disappeared from the spot, leaving the pecking Candy staring towards her departure with a hint of a cute smile on her lips.

"Stop smiling! You-quickly go back to your room!" Edward reappears in Candy's presence as she tries to maintain the facial expression of her feet.

Candy's smile came to a halt and was replaced with a plain-looking face "My waist hurts! How can I go back?"

Realizing his folly again, Edward wanted to eliminate his presence in the dust. He held his facial expression still stiff and just gritted his teeth "Listen! Don't cross the line! We're just Master and Food for now, and come back to your room if you feel better!"

Candy's face seemed blank as she listened to Edward's words. Seeing that the Vampire man had disappeared again after saying that last word, he continued to fall silent and look at his invisible figure.

Candy's heart was racing as she began to think of Edward's words. "So, do I have a chance in the future? Will Edward open his heart to me and not the girl of his past? The relationship between Master and Food will end someday?"

With so many questions. The happy tears as well as the hope in his heart filled the entire morning of the girl.
