4. Recognition
Karina is currently in Kenan's car parked on the side of the highway. Kenan tried to think of the words he would say so as not to offend let alone hurt Karina. Right now his relationship with Karina should not deteriorate because it would harm him.
Kenan glanced at Karina who was sitting quietly waiting for what to be conveyed by her. After finding suitable words, Kenan took a breath and then exhaled slowly.
“be my girlfriend.”
Karina was shocked to hear the words coming out of her boss' mouth. Kenan himself was also a little sorry because of the many sentences he would say, precisely the two words that slid from his mouth.
“ah sorry, I don't mean to be a real girlfriend. That time incident made my parents misunderstand and forced me to take you home.”
“tinggal explained that it was a misunderstanding right?”
“have I explained but they don't want to hear it.”
“so Dad asked me to be your girlfriend in front of your parents?” Kenan nodded in agreement to Karina's words.
“from some options you have asked me to be a fake girlfriend?”
“there is another option?”
Karina found out that this man was stupid enough for a CEO who had been successful in his youth.
“instead of asking me to be a fraud, you can ask me to come to explain, right?”
“I don't think about that, you can help me that way.”
“but is my help really needed? You can explain it yourself to your parents.”
“already I said they won't listen to me.”
Karina felt it was not a big thing until a Kenan had to get her help. With his ability to talk, the man can get investors and win big projects. So he should have been able to easily straighten out something that was clearly a mere misunderstanding.
“my mother insists, at least if you explained it yourself maybe mom can accept it.”
Karina showed her objection face so clearly that Kenan was a little nervous about the girl's decision.
“I will pay for your wasted time double of all the salary you earn from working in two places.”

Karina silently seemed to be thinking about the offer from Kenan. Getting ten million in one day was something tempting for Karina. The money he got in three months can be obtained in one day only. He still gets his salary from his job. If she accepted this offer, at least Karina could add the money to her savings.
“when will we meet your parents?”
“besok.”
“all right, I just need to tell you the truth right?”

After getting out of Kenan's car, Karina went straight to her uncle's house again. Although reluctant to go home but he has no other destination besides the house. Slowly, Karina opened the door and entered the house. The atmosphere of the house was so quiet because it seemed like everyone had already entered into their respective rooms. Karina walked into the room and saw her room was a mess. The items in his room were scattered and his wardrobe was wide open with some of its contents splattered out.
His premonition said something bad had happened during the time he came out earlier. He rushed to check the bottom of his closet and found his empty wallet. The wallet containing his savings for one year is gone. Karina knew who the culprit was but there was no point in her fussing about it. Luckily he was because some of his money was stored in a different savings account, so he did not lose a hundred percent of his hard-earned money.
The next day, Karina asks for an additional day off from the cafe and hotel where she works. He wears the clothes he wears every day, namely trousers and T-shirts with sneakers that are worn. Karina did not need to dress specifically because her arrival was to straighten out any misunderstandings that occurred. Moreover, they were rich so it was impossible to accept a poor person like him.
Kenan picked up Karina at one o'clock in her place yesterday parked the car. They traveled about an hour to reach the residence of Kenan's parents. Karina looked around with a look of amazement at the sight she had just seen for the first time. Luxury homes line the side of the street and each house has a well-maintained courtyard. They stopped in front of a white mansion. Her courtyard was filled with various flower plants making her look very beautiful.

They entered the house simultaneously and were greeted by a middle-aged woman who still looked beautiful and fashionable.
“so this is your girlfriend?” ask her with a face of sumringah.
The woman immediately grabbed Karina's shoulder and dragged the girl inside her house. Kenan could not prevent the mother and could only follow her from behind.
“you are waiting for dad in the reading room. There gih, I want to chat with both prospective mother.”
“how long have you been with Kenan? What do you like about my son? All this time no woman wants to be with him, so mom now seneng benget right know you are dating the mother's child.”
Karina could only smile awkwardly as long as the middle-aged woman continued talking without pause.
“tante.”
“oh, what do you want to drink?”
“no need aunt.”
“Bi, please make tea yes.”

“teh warm suitable for the rainy season like this, oh yes you are still in college have you graduated? How old are you?”
Karina rubbed her own arm as it felt more and more agitated. It seemed like this woman in front of him had high expectations towards his relationship with Kenan.
“tante.”
“kok from earlier call aunt anyway? Call mom dong.”
“but aunt.”
“call mom first.”
Karina breathed slowly.
“I'm not Kenan's girlfriend aunt.”
The atmosphere in the living room became silent after Karina spoke the truth. The face that once looked happy now clearly turned into a sad and unpleasant look. Karina became confused because she did not know what to do in this situation. A little guilt was felt in his heart for just breaking someone's happiness. But this situation really has to be straightened out no matter how much of an expectation Kenan's parents have of a relationship that obviously never happened.
“you didn't say this because it threatened Kenan right?”
“mean aunt?”
“ya who knows he just wants to mess with you so not known to us.”
“we really have nothing to do kok.”
“serious?”
“iya.”
“when aunty is happy, just understand she is never close to other women.”
Karina slightly breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing the middle-aged woman calling herself aunty, unlike before. His task today was finally completed because the mother of his boss had already understood the situation between him and Kenan.
Karina finally got to talk comfortably. Kenan's mother also felt like she was enjoying her time talking to Karina. Karina is indeed a cheerful and sociable person. His people are connected to talk about various topics.
Not long after, Kenan came out of the reading room with his father. Kenan's face looked gloomy unlike the beginning he came to the house. While the father smiled at Karina who looked familiar with his wife.
“you Karina ya?”
“iya om.”
“Kenan already told everything if this is just a misunderstanding, om and aunt apologise yes.”
“nothing kok om, no need to apologize all.”
“you're a good boy.” The middle-aged man said with a smile.
Kenan invites Karina to leave the luxurious house immediately. In contrast to Kenan who immediately sauntered out without saying goodbye, Karina shook the hands of the two parents and then said goodbye politely before leaving the house.

Karina's curse made Kenan's parents laugh. Karina also laughed and thought that it was all just an ordinary joke.
