2. Trapped

Karina looked at her hand which was now wrapped in bandages. For several days, his hands were forbidden to be exposed to water until the bandage was removed and he was also asked to rest. Karina went straight home after her affairs in the hospital were over.

Arriving at home, Karina only found an empty and dark room. He lay down his body on the bed and suddenly he felt his body and heart so tired. At a time like this, the house should be the place to lean. The best place to cure his tired heart. But the fact is his home is also one of the places that make him tired.

Meanwhile, Kenan is currently sitting in the living room of his parents' house. His face was flat as usual and tended to look dislikeful in the house. He could guess what his parents wanted to say if he called him home.

“when are you getting married?” ask the mother expectantly.

After eating dinner with his parents, Kenan returned to his private home. He refused his mother, who repeatedly asked him to stay.

The next day, Kenan headed straight to the hotel. There, his secretary and assistant were already waiting for him. There will be construction to develop the hotel. Some facilities will be added such as a gym and children's playground. Kenan decided to keep an eye on the process himself until it was over, as most of the ideas came from him.

“Angga, tonight I stay here.” He told his trusted assistant.

“well sir, will I prepare his room."

Kenan walks around the hotel. His feet led him to the hotel restaurant on the first floor. His stomach was hungry as he smelled the smell of food served to the guests staying at the hotel. Finally he sat down at one of the empty tables and ordered food. He would consider this as dinner since it was already late afternoon.

Finished eating his food, Kenan got up and returned to his room. He got into the elevator and pushed a button to close the elevator door, but finally he held the elevator door closed. Kenan sees a janitor in a hurry chasing the elevator which is almost closed.

“terthank.” He said after getting into the elevator.

Since the girl entered, Kenan's gaze was fixed on the girl's arm wrapped in bandages.

“you're working today?”

“eh?” Karina turned her head towards the man standing next to her and she only realized that the man was the big boss.

“sorry sir I was disrespectful.”

“why do you work today?”

“if not working later the salary is cut.”

Kenan raised his eyebrows as this was the first time hearing this kind of thing in his hotel.

“why is that?”

“the janitor here is paid by the hour, so his salary is paid according to his working hours. If it doesn't work just because of a small injury, it would be a pity for the money sir. Father of rich people who might understand the same that this.” Karina.

Kenan raised his eyebrows after hearing the girl's words. This was the first time he had met a girl as brave as he was.

Suddenly the elevator shook and just stopped. Kenan pressed the open button but it didn't work. Then he pressed the emergency call button and a voice sounded saying that the elevator had been damaged. Kenan was asked to wait until help arrived.

After hearing that, Kenan leaned back his body then glanced towards Karina who looked calm. His curiosity was suddenly so great about the girl beside him.

“lift is broken.”

“I know, I heard.” Answer it casually.

Kenan muttered after hearing Karina's reply.

“you're not afraid?”

“why afraid, here there is mr.”

Kenan looked up when he heard his words. The girl beside him trusted him so much that.

“what if they only help me?”

“bapak can not ignore me, that time for trivial things you want to defend me, especially for now that concerns someone's life. You can't just leave, right?”

“whose name?”

“Karina.”

“twenty two years.”

“education?”

“new finish college.”

For the first time in a long time, Kenan laughed. And that rare occurrence happened just because of a janitor named Karina.

"why did you defend me and drive away customers? your company is engaged in the service field, should not treat your customers like that."

"that woman insisted on humiliating my employees, of course I can't let that happen."

A few moments later, a voice came from outside. Looks like people have already come to help the two of them out. Sure enough, not long after, the door opened. The people from outside opened it forcibly in order to get Kenan and Karina out.

Since the elevator stopped between the fourth and fifth floors, it was quite difficult to get the two of them out. Kenan asks them to get Karina out first. He helped push the girl's leg from inside the elevator while rescuers pulled her up from outside.

After Karian exits, the elevator shakes again making Kenan fall. Then he immediately got up and tried to get out aided by rescue workers. Shortly after Kenan made it out, the elevator suddenly slid freely to the first floor and a very loud bang sounded in their ears.

Everyone who was there heaved a sigh of relief from successfully getting the two of them out just in time. Kenan looked at Karina whose face was as white as paper. The girl looked so surprised by what had just happened.

“Karina.” Kenan called the girl slowly, but the one called did not respond.

“Karina.”

Kenan called again while patting the girl on the shoulder.

“ya.”

“you okay?”

“i'm fine.”

Kenan called the reception to open the room on the fifth floor because the elevator was not working. It was impossible to take Karina up to the tenth floor with the stairs.

“drink this and calm yourself.”

Kenan gave a glass of warm water to Karina.

Karina nodded in response to Kenan's question.

“you why it looks so surprised when it was in the elevator is fine.”

He covered his ears and lowered his head. Tears quietly flowed from both of his eyes. Kenan called his family doctor to come and check on Karina's condition.

His mother at home was shocked when she heard of an accident at the hotel and her son called the family doctor. Anxiety immediately enveloped his entire body. He rushed to the hotel to see his son. But when he arrived at the hotel, he found something interesting.

“Kenan, who is he?” tanyanya pointed at Karina who was sitting on the edge of the bed together with her son.
