Anita catches an unusual gagat from her husband and eldest son. There was no usual flirting or teasing from the husband to his daughter. Anggara was the same, since then continue to stir the food and only feed occasionally.
"All is well?" Anita looked at Thomas and Anggara alternately.
Anshara and Andreea looked up, looked at each other, and then raised their shoulders when they realized they were not the ones being asked.
"Hm! There's no problem." Thomas nodded, then looked back.
Anggara was indifferent, only returning to focus on his food.
Thomas cleared his throat softly as he finished his meal, making everyone at the dining table automatically look up at him.
"After this, I'm waiting for everyone in the study."
Anita cringing. If Thomas says everyone means Andeea and Anshara too.
As Thomas grows up, Anita also finishes her meal and follows her husband into the study.
"There problem? Why collect the kids too?"
Thomas hugged his wife for a moment. "When I say everything, please hold tightly the hand of our son-in-law." there was a sad tone in his sentence.
"What's up, Darl?" A call that people rarely hear, because Anita wears it when they feel Thomas needs support or needs to be calmed down.
"The suspicions of Anggara a few weeks ago are evident." replied Thomas quietly.
Anita painfully swallowed her saliva. He recalls that a few weeks ago Anggara called from Australia to get Thomas out of the living room. After Thomas finished talking to Anggara, Anita asked for an explanation. That's when he found out, Anggara suspected the death of the late Ardhan and Miranda. His son put several people to investigate the accident secretly, as police had already decided that it was a single accident as a result of the front wheel erupting.
"What this means is the death of Miranda and Ardhan --" Anita was stupefied, her heart suddenly agitated. He held his chest which suddenly had difficulty breathing.
Thomas quickly embraced his wife. "Control yourself, please. Andreea has no one else but us."
Sure enough, just a few minutes after Anita took a deep breath to gain control of her, Anggara entered along with Anshara and Andreea.
Among the three children, certainly the most sensitive Anggara. Just glancing at it, he knew his mother had just cried even though she was smiling looking at her children.
Anggara turned to his father, and Thomas just nodded slowly, as a sign that he had already told Anita some things.
"Darling, are you eating well?" Anita sat down next to Andreea and gently rubbed her palm.
Andreea nodded. "I love my mom's chicken popcorn."
Anita hugged Andreea tightly and wiped her tears again. Anshara who sat beside Andreea frowned. Mother crying? There must be a problem, right?
"Mom, why are you crying?" Andreea realized that even though she did not see it because Anita's face was on her shoulder.
Anita did not answer , she just clasped Andreea's hand tighter.
"Darling, I want to say something. Whatever you hear tonight, just trust that we won't leave you alone. You have Brother Gara as your husband, he will do anything to take care of you. Mom and Dad, too, Anshara. We're your family, remember?" Thomas stared softly at Andreea's two eyes which still looked puzzled.
Andreea knew there was a big problem with her. Now he guessed about the big thing to the point that his mother-in-law cried like that.
Thomas took a deep breath, before continuing his sentence.
"The accident of Ardhan's father and Miranda-Mother" Thomas paused for a moment, noticing the change in expression on Andreea's face. And sure enough, his daughter-in-law looked stiff, with both palms squatting.
"-on purpose." this time Thomas said it slowly. Very slowly, until Andreea had to close her eyes to convince herself that she had not heard wrong.
Anita hugged Andreea back. This time, more tightly.
