Eps. 72 — Reversing Situation
Miou Lin breathed a sigh of relief after his worries had been resolved, had he arrived a second late then Jian Chen would have fared differently.
When the coup attack occurred, Miou Lin was drinking tea at the residence especially when suddenly one of his guards said there was an attack.
Miou Lin turned out to have been targeted since the beginning, many masked troops immediately surrounded him and 2 of them were in the Life Realm.
The masked troops considered that the group that escorted Miou Lin was only a lowly bodyguard considering that he had come to a safe place.
Unfortunately they had made the wrong conclusion, wherever Miou Lin went to the quietest place even though he would be protected by powerful guards.
Five warriors among the Miou Lin entourage were in the Life Realm, Miou Lin herself was now at the peak of the Soul Realm.
In the end those who were after Miou Lin became afraid, who would harm him should be prepared to lose their lives.
Although there were many warriors in his entourage, Miou Lin did not order them to help the government of the Niu clan. The first one remembered in his mind was to seek out and ensure Jian Chen's safety.
Miou Lin was a little panicked when Jian Chen was not in his residence, he tried to find Jian Chen's whereabouts until he finally met him here in time.
Miou Lin gave Jian Chen time to heal his wounds, the youngster swallowed a healing pill as well as a bottle of potion that recovered some of the lost inner exertion.
“Brother Jian what really happened, why don't you hide at a time like this?” Miou Lin asked after Jian Chen got up from sitting his sila.
Actually Miou Lin was more curious about Jian Chen's blood-soaked clothes, he initially thought it was Jian Chen's wound but upon closer inspection it turned out to be wrong.
“I was trying to buy time for Madam Yuan and Meily to escape, unfortunately I met a masked swordsman who was stronger.”
Jian Chen looked around him, there were still many battles everywhere and masked troops still dominated the Niu clan government area.
“Sister Miou we must help the Niu clan troops to finish off these masked people before sunrise.”
Miou Lin frowned, he thought Jian Chen would be frightened over a bloody battle situation like this but the teenage boy just looked calm as if this was his usual thing.
“For now Young Master Jian should recover the wound first. If it is about helping the Niu clan we will definitely do it and soon there will be a big wave invading the clan government area.”
“Inflage?”
Miou Lin nodded. “I heard the warriors of the Niu clan are gathering and moving in this direction. Hearing that the Niu clan was attacked made the surrounding residents not stay silent and prepare to defend his clan.”
Just a few seconds Miou Lin explained so, the clan government gate suddenly opened, spewing out hundreds of people inside.
The men were warriors from the invading Niu clan, after they learned Niu Zuan was treasonous to anger all the warriors and scream to thwart the coup.
“Why this? Isn't there a guard from outside to prevent them from entering, why would they know of Mr Zuan's betrayal?”
“Sial-is! their numbers are very large, how the situation so like this, we can-can be the ones who slaughtered!”
The masked troops began to fear seeing the immeasurably large number of Niu clan warriors, not only that, the Niu clan warriors who invaded also directly killed the masked troops nearby.
Not only was the front gate broken, the back gate was the same, the warriors of the Niu clan came back and forth and they did not allow any masked troops to survive.
Jian Chen watched as it all smiled widely, he guessed that this was happening because Aunt Xie had spread rumors of Niu Zuan betraying according to her orders.
By looking at the situation, Jian Chen was sure there was no hope for Niu Zuan to win this coup. The problem lay in the safety of the Clan Chief himself, Jian Chen turned his head towards Niu Zen's fight with his three opponents on the roof of the tallest building.

Using the Moon Sword Technique, Niu Zen could still keep up with his three opponents despite not being able to counterattack.
Niu Zuan was actually furious because Niu Zen was difficult to finish despite using a combined attack though, whatever attacks that led to him Niu Zen could always dodge or hold him back.
The sword technique of the Niu clan does make its users able to fight in all situations including being used to survive. Just like Jian Chen, the sword techniques of the Niu clan could also fight against more than one person.
“Chairman, we came to help you!”
From afar, suddenly the six clan Elders came intending to help the one-sided battle of Niu Zen.
The action actually had a backlash for Niu Zen, he wanted to prevent them but it was too late.
Niu Zuan smiled widely when he saw the gap, he used the Moon Sword Science at a long distance but his attack was not Niu Zen but the six Elders.
Once a swing of the sword was created the silvery sword energy. The Six Elders did not expect that they would be targeted after arriving as a result of the six having no motion to dodge.
Niu Zen clenched his teeth before switching places and appearing in front of the Six Elders, he held back the sword energy with his sword but created a huge explosion.
The distance Niu Zen had with the explosion was so close that he sustained heavy injuries, Niu Zen fell to his knees with fresh blood emerging from the corner of his lips.
“As usual you always attach great importance to others, Zen.” Niu Zuan laughed mockingly at the terrible condition of his sister.
Liu Kai shook his head slowly. “A person's weakness lies in what they protect, while a weakness in the martial world is a disability.”
Liu Yanxi did not heed his comrade's words but rather he thought of another. “Tuan Zuan, We finish him off before sunrise, we can't do this coup when the sun comes up.”.
This attack has entered the early hours, they can not delay again too long.
“I see, just calm down Brother Yanxi I will kill him now.” Niu Zuan was about to walk closer to Niu Zen but just one move suddenly sounded a boisterous voice from the clan government gate.
Niu Zuan was so shocked when the inhabitants of the Niu clan stormed the coup area, yet to recover his shock the rear gate also opened. All the warriors of the Niu clan had sprung up around the clan government.
Not only Niu Zuan, Liu Yanxi and Liu Kai also reacted thus. Both of them did not expect this situation to happen.
“Zuan, for the sake of a post you dare to betray and cooperate with the Liu clan to stage a coup! You've been late!”
From the absence of appearing an old man not far from them fighting, with his appearance alone, the old man immediately suppressed his three opponents at once. That old man who was none other than Niu Qisha, the previous Chairman of the Niu clan.
“Dad! What are you doing here!?” Niu Zuan's face paled as she looked at her father.
“You dare call me Dad when you want to kill your sister? You are unforgivable.”.
The old man disappeared from sight before appearing in front of Niu Zuan and delivering a violent blow towards his stomach. Niu Zuan was knocked back while spewing fresh blood with some of his ribs broken.
Niu Zuan managed to get her balance right away, the look on her face mixed with pain but her gaze was filled with hatred.
“It's all because of you, Dad, if you had chosen me over him then maybe I wouldn't have done this!”
“My reason for not choosing you is because your ambition is too big and rough, being a leader is not appropriate for someone who justifies various ways for the sake of his goals.”
Niu Zuan clenched his teeth before slamming the smoke bombs, Liu Yanxi, and Liu Kai simultaneously did the same. When that puff of smoke disappeared the three of them had already gone away.
Niu Qisha could have chased him but he did not do that, he turned his body and drained the power in Niu Zen to stop the bleeding.
Niu Zen was severely injured, if not treated immediately then he could have lost his life by now.
