Eps. 196 — Liu clan's regrets

"Who is that young man..." Jian Ya looked up at the sky where Jian Chen had disappeared before.

Although Jian Ya did not recognize him but the young man's face felt familiar even though only half the face was visible.

Jian Ya thought of that before the voice of Jian Rou who was in her cradle cried, making her daydream break. On the other hand he glanced at Jian Wu who was slowly starting to come to a realization.

"Where am I, am I alive?"

The first thing Jian Wu did after waking up was to examine his body that had been pierced, he found not only that the prick had disappeared in his body but that the other wounds had also disappeared.

In that moment of confusion, Jian Ran immediately hugged her husband's body while crying profusely. Despite knowing that Jian Wu's wounds had healed she was still worried when her husband had not woken up.

"Sorry, you must be worried..." Jian Wu stroked his wife's back, he could feel the shock of Jian Ran as he was unconscious.

"It's okay, as long as you're okay, that's enough for me..."

Jian Wu smiled, hugging Jian Ran's body before he saw the situation around him, other than there was Jian Ya, he found the group of assassins whose opponents had already died in an unusual manner.

"What happens when I'm unconscious?" Jian Wu looked puzzled, especially when he realized the war was no longer heard.

Jian Ran was still crying in his arms so Jian Ya kindly explained that there was a pillar of light after Jian Wu was unconscious.

On the pillar of light it then appeared a mysterious masked swordsman who had six silver wings on his back. The same person directly saved them including stopping the war of the Jian clan.

Jian Wu's face was startled after hearing that, it was hard to believe that big story that seemed like a mere fairy tale but seeing that the Jian clan was now safe, believe it or not he had no choice but to believe it.

"Chairman Yes, thank you for helping me and my wife before, I was really helped by you..."

Jian Wu did not forget about the woman's help, if there was no him maybe his wife and child were no longer beside him now.

"Senior Wu need not hesitate, we are in the same clan, it should help each other..." Jian Ya nodded slowly.

Jian Wu did not say any more then turned to his wife. "Ran'er, don't cry, I'm fine..." Jian Wu stroked his wife who was still hugging tightly. "Aren't you ashamed of having Chairman Ya here, you look like a little girl..."

Hearing that Jian Ran's cry stopped before glaring and pinching her husband's waist, always in all situations her husband would try to tease her.

"Well, isn't this how you're getting pretty?" Jian Wu laughed, of course his initial intention was to comfort him.

Jian Ran's face reddened, between shame and a little annoyed because her husband did not stop flirting when it was clear there was Jian Ya in front of him.

Jian Ya only smiled awkwardly while turning away a face pretending not to see them. From his deepest heart he was very envious of his second friendly partner.

Jian Ya was probably a beautiful and charming girl, many men liked her but none of them interested her.

Thinking that was somehow Jian Ya's mind recalled someone who made her heart beat faster. He hurriedly shook his head, disallowing his progressively creeping feeling.

Jian Ya handed Jian Rou back to her mother, saying goodbye to leaving as there was a lot to do including making sure her family was safe as well.

The smell of corpses and blood smelled worsening the air quality, never imagined the Jian clan which was a clan that upheld cleanliness was now filled with a sea of corpses.

Jian Ya also saw that there were many houses destroyed by this attack as well as the bodies of several Jian clan warriors.

Although this war had fallen less than the previous organization's assault but the strength of the Jian clan had declined, it would take at least a few months for the Jian clan to become what it was.

The girl then searched for the whereabouts of her father and grandfather, after some time she found that both of her closest people were still alive despite Jian Fengxa having some injuries on the body.

"What did you say? Our attack failed!?"

Liu Zhong, who was at his clan residence, immediately hit his throne arm after hearing a report from one of his emissaries that reported the Jian clan's attack had failed.

"Chairman Zhong, not only that, all of our troops sent there were also killed all of them without a trace..."

Liu Zhong's chest was deflated, his heart was beating much faster, he had not expected the result of this attack to be far beyond his expectations.

"Didn't I have sent Elder Zhi and the two Sky Realm Swordsmen over there! How could our attack have failed!?"

According to Liu Zhong, even though the troops he sent did not make careful preparations, the amount and strength should be enough to flatten the Jian clan.

"Elder Zhi and the two Chief Warriors of the Sky Realm were also killed in this attack, according to news stories heard in the Jian clan, there was a mysterious figure wearing a mask and winged who finished him off."

Hearing that Liu Zhong was no longer surprised there was even the slightest bit of fear, it was never imagined in a clan that according to him was just an ordinary middle clan there was a secret figure protecting him.

This time Liu Zhong was worried, his clan was on the verge of danger should the mysterious young man make a calculation on his clan.

As a result of the attack, not only did the Liu clan suffer a defeat he also suffered losses and not a little influence.

Those who were allied with the Liu clan were likely to hold them accountable for this loss or at worst they would turn to their clan.

The strength of the Liu clan was also drastically reduced, he doubted that with his strength now the Liu clan was no longer the strongest number 2 clan in the Lightning Dragon Province let alone after Liu Zhi's death.

Much to Liu Zhong's dismay, he was now beginning to regret his actions which took the Jian clan lightly, had he not decided to attack the clan perhaps the situation would not have been this bad.

Most of Liu Zhong's unexpectedness was indeed natural, he had never heard of a swordsman being able to kill a person who was already at the Sky Realm realm.

After all the Sky Realm always had a trick to successfully escape or defend its life, if only Liu Zhi had died together with the two nearby Celestial Realm warriors, then that mysterious figure was a whiz that was stronger than the number one hero in Lightning Dragon Province.

Liu Zhong was the strongest number two ranking hero in the province before Chu Bian, the strength of the two only differed thinly but that made Liu Zhong number 2 because of his younger age.

If only Liu Zhong was given three to four years then it did not rule out the possibility of him becoming the number one champion in his province.

He never thought when he would reach it there was a sky higher than him.
