Eps. 229 — Conditions Meily and Ziyun
The frown on Jian Chen's forehead grew after hearing the two-robed people's brief conversation, other than the name he called not sounding unfamiliar he also knew the voice of the two.
Jian Chen turned his head towards the two robed men which coincided with the two staring at him simultaneously.
Jian Chen indeed could not see their faces yet the two people were clearly able to see his face.
One of them immediately opened the headscarf that covered his face, a girl who had a very beautiful face, the girl was the woman Jian Chen knew, Niu Meily.
"Brother Jian!"
Meily, either out of longing or in need of a protective figure like Jian Chen right now, she immediately ran over to the young man before scattering into him.
Jian Chen took two steps back to catch the girl's embrace because Meily was so tightly hugging her.
Not too long later, another person walked up to Jian Chen, just as he had expected he was Ye Ziyun.
Jian Chen actually wanted to ask further but he chose silence first to see the condition of the two. Jian Chen realized from their chat just now, the two were in trouble, let alone Meily's hands felt trembling in her arms.
Jian Chen simply stroked the top of the girl's head gently, trying to calm her down while Ziyun stood beside the two.
Meily continued to hug Jian Chen for a considerable amount of time when suddenly the girl collapsed and lost her balance.
Jian Chen caught Meily before her body fell to the floor, the girl had fainted in Jian Chen's embrace.
Ziyun hysterically looked at him while Jian Chen directly brought him to one of the rooms. Meily was laid on a soft bed.
"She looks exhausted both physically and mentally, but everything will be fine when she wakes up later..." Jian Chen explained to Ziyun who was worried about seeing Meily.
"It's all my fault..." Ziyun bit her lips.
Jian Chen did not understand Ziyun's words yet he could see Ziyun was as tired as Meily. "You'd better rest, too, I can see you're just as tired..."
Jian Chen's words were indeed true, despite not showing it directly but Ziyun was already at her limit, even Ziyun's condition was worse than Meily's just that the girl was trying to hold her back.
Ziyun as much as possible remained steadfast in front of Meily for fear that her best friend would be worried.
"But Brother Jian, I..."
"I understand..." Jian Chen nodded slowly, cutting off Ziyun's remark. "As long as you rest, I'll protect you here."
Ziyun who wanted to say again instantly became speechless, she nodded obediently at Jian Chen's orders. On the same side, his heart beat faster, although not seen directly he was happy to meet people he liked.

The burden that Ziyun thought seemed to lift when there was Jian Chen, he hurriedly turned his face with the young man, afraid that his face would be reddened.
Before Jian Chen left, he gave Ziyun a pill that allowed her to recover quickly, after which Jian Chen left the two in the room.
"I'll rent two rooms, serve them to your ability!" Jian Chen gave a leather pouch to one of the maids.
The servant who was given the pouch immediately smiled enthusiastically when he saw the contents. "Young master need not worry, I will serve them as hard as I can..."
Jian Chen nodded, letting the servants stand guard in front of the door of Ziyun and Meily's room while himself walked out of the inn to see something moving in the rain like this.

"Boss, I found an inn not far from here, could it be that the two girls were there?"
"For sure, they couldn't possibly run in these conditions and weather."
"This inn seems to be empty of visitors, Boss, what should we do?"
Their leader was silent for a moment, "If there are two girls in it that we are looking for, kill everyone in the inn without remaining."
"But, the boss..." His men seem to object to the order.
"I know this is too much more cruel than even the bad guys but the heirloom that one of the girls holds should never be known. The clan head ordered us to kill them immediately if anyone knew the heirloom sword."
The eight men were from a clan, ordered by the Chief of his clan to chase after a girl and seize her precious heirloom.
"Do we have to kill those two girls too, boss?" Knock the other one.
The chairman did not answer immediately. To kill? It was hard to kill a woman so beautiful as the two of them. Both girls have a face that is difficult for any woman to have.
"We can't kill him, too dear. Let's just take it off and catch it for us to use!"
Hearing that his seven subordinates were feeling enthusiastic, they had already faced off against the girls several times which left many of his comrades killed.
The group could not hurt their two girls after seeing their beauty, instead the two girls attacked them in earnest and always managed to kill their partners and escape.
Now they were convinced that the two girls did not have the ability to fight anymore after many battles.
Each of them licked his lips and began to fantasize, impatient to catch the two.
Just as the eight men were communicating, suddenly a person appeared in front of them in an invisible manner. The eight people were surprised by his arrival because such as appearing in void space even thought that the person was a ghost.
The mysterious person had golden eyes that shone in the dark times.
Their leader who first noticed and looked at the mysterious person with great caution. "Who are you, tell me your identity if we don't want to kill you?"
That person, Jian Chen, smiled sinisterly hearing him. "I should have asked you that, but unfortunately I already know the reason why you're here?"
Jian Chen took out 8 pieces of gold in his spatial ring then played them in the palm of his hand.
Seeing that the leader of the group smiled mockingly. "If you think of bribing us with money so as not to harm the two girls, it's a pity I can't do it."
The leader of the group thought Jian Chen would negotiate with him for not being confident against all of them.
"Who would give this to you? I'll just make it my weapon against you..."
Hearing that the eight people became wary, they could see from his expression Jian Chen was really going against him.
"I will grant you relief with a painless death, who and what is your purpose here?"

The eyes of those eight people were unable to see Jian Chen's golden coin attack when suddenly their gaze darkened completely, no longer breathing.
Jian Chen killed the seven warriors instantly and left one person - his chairman. Jian Chen smiled broadly seeing the group leader fall down with deep fear.
Jian Chen had indeed intentionally left one of them to interrogate him. "Well, starting from where you came from, who told you to go after the two girls you were referring to?"
