The sound of crickets reads a sign that the night is now a decorator and tranquilizer of a quiet and beautiful nightlife to be a friend in Syifa's life who is now on his bed while playing a cellphone replying to messagesa message from Glen asking why he did not go to school so long ago the sound of knocking on the door made Syifa quickly rise from her bed.
"Glen, Syifa matiin first, yes."
"Why?"
"So there's Mama outside" he said, without waiting for a response from Glen, Syifa turned it off.
He opened the door until his mother was seen there. Such a happy face is drawn at every corner of the lips polished there.
"Mom can come in?" tanya Rahmi made Syifa laugh.
"Of course."
Syifa stepped up and Rahmi walked over and sat on the bed right next to Syifa.
"Shyifa!" he touched the back of Syifa's hand.
"Mama would like to say thank you very much, Syifa."
"Why? Say thank you for what?"
Rahmi sighed as if she did not know where to say it from.
"Mama was very happy today, Syifa because Mama did not expect that you would give Mama Restu."
"You want to bless Mama married to Mr. Jaya when it used to be right"
"Before," cut Syifa to make Rahmi's speech stop.
"Then and now, it's different. Everyone can experience a change in thinking" Syifa explained making Rahmi nod her head small.
He totally agreed with what his mother said. His daughter's advice is all right. Changes that always happen but do not happen in a hurry like this.
To be honest he wanted to ask why his daughter could turn out like that but an awkward feeling haunted him. Isn't this good.
It would have been better if his daughter had changed with a favor. Isn't this what he wanted all along. Willingness of his daughter agreed if he and pak Jaya united.
"Syifa, Mama wants to say something."
"What's Ma by the way?"
"After the proposal is completed and the determination of the date of the wedding..."
Syifa was a little scared. His heart is beating fast. Maybe her mother knew something. Or maybe Lena told Mama that she was sick.
"Ask what Ma?" syifa asked after taking a strong sip of saliva.
"Why? Why did you decide the date of the wedding so quickly? Sunday's wedding is 5 days away."
Syifa breathes softly. His suspicions are wrong.
"Syifa, 5 days ahead of the wedding. Isn't this too rushed?"
"What's the matter, Ma? Syifa also can't wait to see Mama and Pak Jaya get married."
"Mama!" call Syifa while touching Rahmi's hand fingers that immediately stop her speech.
"Syifa is here. Syifa will help Mama to prepare everything. Not only is there Syifa but there's also Lena who will be ready to help."
"Syifa but Mama-"
"No need to worry, Ma! Invitations, receptions or anything, let Syifa take care of it. Syifa was even happy to help Mama."
"This wedding will be a very happy day for Mama and Syifa will not miss everything just like that."
"Syifa wants to go down directly. Syifa wanted to choose an invitation that Syifa liked. So Syifa wanted to choose the decorations that Syifa liked. Everything has to be Syifa's choice."
"Syifa is impatient" he continued.
Unknowingly Rahmi's tears are dripping. It was a happiness that really touched his heart. His daughter seemed to have welcomed the wedding day so very happily.
He planned everything so far away. He never thought it would happen like this.
"If you want to choose an invitation, you also have to invite Mr. Jaya."
"Yes, tomorrow Mama take Jaya."
"So Mama's leaving tomorrow to pick the invitation? Syifa wants to come."
"Then what about your school?"
"Mama, do you think Syifa's coming home at what time? We can leave after Mama gets home from work and Syifa gets home from school."
That's true what Syifa said. It made Rahmi laugh. How could he forget that tomorrow is so long to choose a suitable invitation later.
Not long ago Rahmi rose from the mattress that she had been sitting on. He looked at his daughter who was smiling at him.
"Then Mama's out, yeah! Good night," he said, making Syifa step closer to the door to take her to the door.
"Good night, too, Mama."
Now the door was finally closed making Syifa run a little up to the top of her bed and then back staring at the screen of her phone with a very serious look.
His smile expanded as the call came in with Glen's name listed there.
Vidio call from Glen made Syifa hastily tidied her hair and raised a video call from Glen until clearly plastered on the screen of her phone the figure of Glenn who looks smiling.
"Udah finished?"
"Udah," replied Syifa happily.
Maybe tonight he will spend a lot of time to tell Glen, especially Syifa who also tells about what happened earlier in the process of his application.
Glen is now a good listener. Hearing all what Syifa said with a very open feeling. Be a good listener.
Now Syifa's happiness is just one, being able to spend the night with Glen, the person she cares about so much.
