Greatest Assassin

Greatest Assassin
Chapter 16

"Who was that guy? Why is he wearing a mask? He seems to know me, but why don't I?" inner Aiken while holding his stomach that still hurts. The kick from the man was really strong, even to the point of making Aiken bounce.

"Aiken, are you okay?" ayumi asked directly to Aiken.

"No, I'm fine. Who's she?"

"I don't know. But, it's like I've seen it in Wastaly, "' Ayumi replied.

"really? Who exactly is he? But. He wanted to take my ear cuff."

"Heh.. but for what?"

"He can't know about my ear cuff."

"I don't know. I'll just go home, it feels like my body really hurts," Aiken walked away from Ayumi.

Alice was still trying to stand up. Alice let out her wry face as Aiken did not feel worried about her at all.

"He's that. Why don't you worry about me anyway" Alice grumbled.

Aiken immediately laid her body on the bed as she returned to her apartment. He undressed, looking at his stomach that was hit by the man's kick earlier. Aiken was surprised when he saw the former kick of the man earlier. The kick was to make Aiken's stomach turn blue, when Aiken touched his stomach was very painful.

"Who the hell was that guy? She's so strong. Cih...what she really wants," thought Aiken while covering her stomach with her shirt.

Reco Agent Headquarters ...

"Captain, sorry," Alyssa stood inside the room of agent leader Reco with her head bowed. The leader of Reco's agency sat down on Alyssa's back.

"Why are you sorry?"

"The drone camera we launched has been destroyed shot" Alyssa replied politely.

"Alyssa, you need to keep an eye on her. He is the path to the success of our goal."

"Good, captain. I'll keep an eye on him" Alyssa walked away from the agent Reco leader's room.

Aiken was again in the white room. But this time Aiken will not be surprised, because he knows if Alice has done it.

"Alice, where are you? Better hurry up and tell me what the hell you brought me here. Although it's a dream world, it's still tiring for me to stand here waiting for you."

Alice came out of the room. Smiling at Aiken while walking closer to Aiken.

"It's over."

"What are you trying to say?"

"Let's go one more step. And you're gonna finish this job."

"Goodoo. I can't wait to finish this, I feel like I'm really fed up with all this.

But... By the way do you know why I can't remember anything in my mass? Do you know what caused it?"

Alice smiled faintly, her face bowed. Alice held onto Aiken's hands, her face raised again.

"I'm sorry. It's all because of me, you'll understand.

Now I'm gonna give you a choice."

"Your story will return. But you'll forget me, if you want your mass memory back you'll forget me."

"But why? I don't like you. But I don't want to forget you either."

"That's how life is, Aiken. There must be a time when you will forget someone, there must be a time when you will leave that person. And that includes me."

"But I don't want to forget you! I've considered you a friend."

"But if you want your memory back again you have to sacrifice your memory of me."

Aiken was speechless, he immediately pulled his hand from Alice's grasp. Aiken walked back slowly.

"Alice, I don't really like you very much. But I don't want to forget you either. I don't want to forget you, don't want to!" Aiken lowered his head.

Alice smiled slightly, she walked over to Aiken. Touching Aiken's face and lifting Aiken's face.

"I know that. Even if you forget me, I will always remember you. And I promise you, one day we'll meet again.

And by the time it comes, I will definitely make you remember me again."

"You are my friend, Alice. I don't want to forget my friend."

"Yes, I know that. But. This will be even better. If I had never existed, you probably wouldn't have suffered.

You'll have a quiet life without any enemies and obstacles."

Aiken hugged Alice tightly. "Sorry, Alice. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, I'm sorry if I upset you so much."

"No. You did nothing wrong, you helped me. I don't think I want to leave you, but this is our destiny."

Aiken took off her embrace. "Thank you. Thanks to you I can feel challenging things."

"Yes. One step you're gonna take is pretty easy. You should go see me to that place and give me that ear cuff.

I can't do it here. I left first, I was waiting for you," Alice disappeared immediately and so did Aiken who instantly woke up from her sleep.

Aiken was still on his bed. Aiken took off his ear cuff, looking at him. Aiken thought that he would never forget Alice. She did not like Alice too much because she had caused Aiekn to lose a period of calm and peace.

But Aiken also regarded Alice as his friend. He did not want to forget his friend. To him, Alice was a person who contributed to the earth or the Hollow world. It was Alice who protected the earth and the Hollow, and that was what made Aiken think of Alice as his friend.

"Am I sure I'll forget Alice? Am I sure I want to leave my little memories with Alice?

Am I sure I'll forget my friend?" Aiken got out of his bed, walking towards the balcony.

Finally Aiken convinced his mind and heart to go to meet Alice who was in the forest. Maybe today is the last day Aiken will meet Alice. Before leaving, Aiken picked up a small box, he placed his ear cuff into the small box and took it away to meet Alice.

The birds were chirping beautifully at the branches of trees along the way, the sound of wind blowing irregularly. The sound of water flowing under a bridge that Aiken passed by sounded very calm and peaceful.

The moment Aiken arrived at the border entering the forest, there was someone standing at the border. If Aiken were to observe that person from afar, he knew who he was. That person was none other than the mysterious young man who always wore a mask. He was also the one who had also previously tried to take Aiken's ear cuff, and also attacked Aiken.

Seeing the mysterious young man, Aiken began to be wary and hid the small box containing the ear cuff into his jacket pocket. Aiken walked slowly closer to the border road entering the forest without seeing the direction the young man was standing in.

Without seeing the young man, Aiken walked past him. In the end, the young man stopped Aiken.
