It was strange to imagine having an aunt, because neither the king nor the queen had any surviving siblings. The woman must have been waiting for me, the man mentioned the courier who had arrived in Treb long before we came.
I barely had time to raise my trembling hand to touch the hair when the carriage stopped again, this time in front of a small house. I heard the waiter sitting at the back of the carriage jump down, then crossed the short walkway that cut through the garden growing around the front of the house. However, the man had only walked a few steps when the cottage opened and a woman came out, her hands clutching a lantern. The waiter stopped, Seemed surprised, then rushed back to the carriage. My heart raced faster, as he grabbed the doorknob of the carriage.
“ Which you...” The man was silent, his face flushed so I could see him under the dim light. “ I mean, My Lady, we've arrived.”
“ Thank you,” I said while getting off the train. The burden of darkness seemed to be pinching me, and although the rest of me wanted to run towards the light of the cottage, the other part of me wanted to run as fast as possible in the opposite direction. However, I sighed and imagined myself instead of walking in Thorvaldor's hall, it felt too painful, but in the great hall everyone's eyes were there on me. It made me raise my head and slowly step foot in front of the other leg and walk down the path to the cottage.
My aunt is a tall and thin woman with protruding bones. Her hair is light brown, with a tinge of gray strands, her nose is long & sharp. (like a witch's grandmother well, 😃 is up to author dah🌹) I see no resemblance between us. We watched each other for a moment, and then he exhaled.
“ You look like him,”. “ Your Mother.”
In my mind I see the queen, who looks very soft & graceful, while I look small & dark (quiet author polishes 😁).
As if she could read my mind, my aunt pursed her lips.
“ I mean your real mother.”
“ I hope....” I licked my lips to wet it.
“ I hope I don't bother you too much. Looks like you're my only living relative, & they don't know where to sendky.” anymore
My aunt looked at me long enough, then yelled at the waiter, “ Bring her things in, if any. And to me auntie said, “ You better get in.”
My aunt turned around, the light of the lantern suddenly hidden behind her body, and I followed her, waiting for whatever beam of light I could find to dispel the darkness.
The next morning I woke up fully aware of my place. There was no moment of confusion, no more thought of me still on top of my bed in the palace. Before I even opened my eyes, I knew what had happened and where I was. I just don't know who I am.
Amelia, my mind is in the darkness behind my closed eyes. In my head that name sounds rough, without malleability like my daughter's name (Say the author anyway, because it's not used to being impressed strange it sounds🌹). But now that the name is mine, the only name I have, I reminded myself before opening my eyes.
I lay on a narrow bed in a faded mattress of straw, a beautiful red dyed blanket over my body. Other than my bed, this small space contained only a worn-out bench and a shallow bowl of water on it.
Don't forget the likes, votes, and comments author wait..Love the spirit of guys, forgive also if there is still an error in writing🙏🌹
